And the stadium is....
The Fire Field!
A series of thick rock pillars, all different sizes of height, reach towards the stadium ceiling from a pool of hot lava. While there is a fire-proof net far below to catch any pokemon that falls off the platforms, the rock pillars themselves are hot to the touch. They can cause burns if your pokemon stand still for a set period of time. The air around the field is very heavy from the extreme heat. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to FIRE type attacks. This field reduces ICE and WATER type attacks by 25 HP.

Walking into the stadium, Charlotte immediately started sweating. "Aww man, the FIRE field??? Of all days I pick to wear my hoodie..." She sent Azul out into the field as she continued whining about the heat.
"Aww man, the FIRE field???" Azul moaned as she looked around at her surroundings. "I like the tropical heat, but this is a bit much..."

Arissa felt the heat before she walked out onto the field. She was puzzled as to what might be causing it until she got to the doorway. Then she blanched upon seeing the bubbling lava with pillars of rock sticking out. "Oh dear, I hope you,'ll be OK in this," she said worriedly to her Togepi, who was help in her arms. He looked up and trilled, trying to reassure her.
How to get him into the field would be a bit of a problem, since she was sure he couldn't jump so far. After a moment she recalled him to his pokeball, then tossed the ball onto one of the wider pillars. There he appeared, hopping from foot to foot once he felt the hot stone.

"Awwww, that little togey is so cuuuuteee..." Charlotte squealed upon seeing her opponent's pokemon. She almost forgot that this was a battle until she glimpsed Azul giving her the stink-eye from the field. "Oh yeah, uhhh, alright... man, I'm gonna feel bad if we win... Azul, use Rock Smash!"
Rolling her eyes at her trainer, Azul gave a mighty leap towards her opponent. She smashed into the edge of the rock pillar Ronen was standing on and jumped back, sending sharp shards of stone flying in the air.

When Azul smashed into the pillar it made the whole thing shake, knocking Ronen off-balance. He was helpless to avoid the sharp fragments of stone that came raining down on him.
This was not going to be an easy fight, and it seemed they were at a disadvantage. They might have to take a chance. "Ronen, use Toxic," Arissa called.
Ronen rocked to his feet and stated gathering a sickly purple light around his hands. It congealed into a ball of glob that he threw at Azul.

The glob of poison splattered all over Azul's face. She squeaked as she tried to get it out of her eyes and mouth, but the effects had already started to set in.
"Maybe that togepi isn't as sweet and cuddly as I thought..." Charlotte muttered to herself. "Don't let that get you down, Azul! Try Swagger!"
Azul growled at Ronen, and started harshly smack-talking him out of nowhere in hopes he'd get enraged and confused.

Ronen blinked and looked puzzled at Azul. Why was she saying such mean things all of a sudden?
Arissa was relieved that Ronen didn't seem to be confused and pressed on. "Give him a Rock Smash of your own!"
Ronen chirped and started to run towards Azul as fast as his little feet could go. He raised his arm, then lunged forward to smack the ground like his opponent had, throwing rock shards her way.

Hit by not only a chunk of rock, but also by a sudden rush of weakness from the poison, Azul was angry. How could her swagger not work? She took her frustrations and used them to power another ferocious Rock Smash attack.

Ronen got pelted by more rocks and tottered around the pillar unsteadily for a bit before he managed to regain his balance.
"Try another Rock Smash," Arissa called.
So Ronen drew back his tiny fist and smacked the rock again.

As the poison continued to drain her energy, Azul got smashed by more rocks. She could feel her energy draining away, but she had to continue fighting until the end.
Mustering up some newfound strength, Azul charged towards her opponent with rock-smashing power.

Ronen stumbled back from the oncoming rocks but got hit anyway. "Hang on, Ronen. Try it again!" Arissa called.
The Togepi took a moment to steady himself before smacking rocks toward Azul again.

As Azul was pummeled by more rocks, her fighting spirit disappeared. She hated to lose, but she couldn't bring herself to stand up anymore - with a sigh, she teetered side to side and fell off the platform.
"Eek! Azul, return!" Charlotte cried, sending Azul back to her ball before she could even hit the net below. "Well, that's a bummer... but regardless, thanks for the battle! See you again!" With a little wave, Charlotte hopped down from the trainer platform and headed out the stadium.

Arissa had been rather tense at the end of that battle, but breathed a sigh of relief when Ronen managed to knock out his opponent. It was rather close battle, and she was worried her little guy wouldn't make it through. "Bye, thanks to you too!" she called to her opponent, waving as the other trainer turned to go. Then she recalled her own pokemon and headed out to get him healed.
