Khayman looked curiously down at the human that had greeted him, watching him duck inside the house and come back out with cat food. His nose wrinkled as the offensive smell reached his nostrils. Oh how he loathed cat food. It was bland, disgusting, tasteless....salty, smooth, delectable, and with just the right crunch and softness, and oh heavens were those macarons he was smelling!? It had to be from the bakery down the way, the very place he'd been going to visit. Ever since digging one out of the trash for being a day or so too old, he'd been hooked on them, and the owner had just happened to catch him munching on a delectable treat one day in the alley. The owner tossed him a few every time he came by now.
Hopping down casually, his nose quivered as he padded quietly near the human, eying him warily. Why yes, this human WAS eating macarons. He had one right now, and the mau couldn't keep himself from drooling. It wasn't just ANY macaron. It was a LAVENDER macaron. The perfect balance of lavender and vanilla without tasting soapy, and a deep purr rumbled in his throat and bubbled up unbidden at just the thought of them. Normally he wouldn't touch someone so familiarly so soon, but he hadn't eaten much today as mice in the boiler room had been scarce at the apartments since he showed up, and this human unwittingly had some cream left on his chin.
Despite the utter disregard for decorum and his position as a dignified member of the order of Guardian Cats, his stomach won this battle over his anxiety ridden head, and without a care he padded onto the strangers lap and crawled up his shoulder, licking the offending cream off with another pleased purr, curling his tail around the humans neck pleasantly. Shaking his head gently back and forth and humming in pleasure, he licked his lips for any remnants, thoroughly enjoying the small smackerel of a treat. Perhaps sometimes, not often mind you, it was okay to be less than dignified, especially when such treats as macarons were concerned.
