I guess I go here first. I don't have a nick name, so I'll jump right on into the intro post.
Lets see.. I was just recently invited here by Boyfriend/Gummy. I don't belong to any guilds so I figured, why the hell not.
I've been on Gaia since 2008, but I was absent for a veeeery long time. Last week I was sitting around bored at work (I'm just a little too efficient at my desk job) and decided to check on this account, maybe see how much my items had inflated.
Well, I've since found it a nice casual way to pass the time between paperwork, and wandered my way onto the forums today, where I was apparently spotted by BOYFRIEND.
I guess I can tell you a little about me.
I have two jobs, one is an office job and one is a studio job (illustration). I'm 24 years old and have a Partner of almost seven years. We have two cats and two hermit crabs.
I love roleplay, art (obviously), fashion, social topics, pinterest (my other office pass-time), zombies, humor, sex, and pretty s**t.

Nice to meet you, thanks for joining! Do you enjoy having an office job? Is it anything like the office comedies on TV?

I do enjoy it, it's more easy going than jobs I've had in the past. It gets pretty hilarious here sometimes, the people I work with are pretty funny and friendly. The only things I don't like is when they talk about politics and sometimes having to talk to foolish people on the phone. But aside from that it's nice. My own space, a nice computer, hour lunch break, life insurance.. it's fairly cushy.

It's a bit of a story behind that one. I found him outside scrawny and filthy and starving. He was disgusting and I couldn't help but pick him up - holding him at arms length - and quarantine him in my bathroom. I cleaned him up and got him fed. I put up "Cat Found" signs, and eventually one of my neighbors recognized him. She told me that he had been abused (She'd seen the owners hitting him with things) and then they moved out of the apartment - and just left their cats outside to fend for themselves. I took him to the vet and had him 'fixed', wormed, and medicated for a parasite.
I never intended to keep him, I just wanted to make him presentable so that I could give him away. I was trying to get rid of him, so I didn't want to give him a name, so we were calling him "The New Cat" which eventually became "New Cat". No one wanted a fully grown cat, and one day I got up and saw Marcus and New Cat all snuggled up in a ball. I sighed and resigned myself to the ownership of a new family member. By then we'd been calling him New Cat for so long that he came to that when he was called and it's been his name ever since, haha. We're very happy he came into our lives. <3

I used to have a cat named Chili but I had to give him up (/ m );; he was the best little ginger cat ever. But we gave him up because we didn't have the money to get him fixed and he was going into a neighbors house who had a cat door but not cat (like wtf close that if you don't have a cat) and peeing on their stuff because it wasn't marked territory I guess lol

There is a place in my area that will Fix a cat for like $15 as part of a humane.. program thing? Not sure, but that's where my grandparents get their barn cats fixed.

Aw wow that's a really sweet story. ; - ; What a lucky cat to be found by you after being mistreated. I can't fathom why anyone would abuse their animals, how revolting.

Some people seem to have a stunted sense of morality. It's as though any kindness they do have won't extend past humans, and animals are only objects or accessories.
