 He looked around with narrowed blue eyes. A fool, that was what he had been, spending so much time with the others. Gon. Killua. Leorio. No more. Never again and no more. No more fake friends, no more enemies like Hisoka that could never rise to his level. His heart had no room for them and he was tired of fooling himself. He got what he wanted, he had his hunter's license. And they scattered across the world, didn't they? Why had he thought even for a second he could allow himself to have friends again? He knew better. Temporary allies at best, but now no more. He was alone, as he was meant to be. Adjusting his nen weapon, Kurupika made his way through the forest, hunting. That was what Hunters did, after all. And he was going to bring in a big one.

Yuna was never used to being alone, but sometimes life thrusts you upon it. Having split from the group to search for something she found herself alone in the forest. Her eyes would dance over everything as it passed by, but her hooves stick closely to the path. She was not the kind to step off the path into the thickness around her, not unless it was a dire circumstance.
Those long ears flicked in a delicate manor, her eyes moved from the shadows of the forest to the path ahead of her. She was no stranger to danger, even if there was a little fear in her eyes. After all, her life was set that someone would always be there. She was also not good at hiding her feelings about this either.

Kurupika heard the other pony moving around the path. His mouth settled into a grim line as he reviewed the criminals in this area, fixing their images in his mind. None were any of the ones her personally wanted, but... He'd take what he could get. Black list hunter. Even the name still sounded good to him. He slipped through the woods after the other pony, circling her, moving based on sound. He came around in front, heard the other moving closer.... He lept into her path, nen weapon moving, the hard metal charms rising into the air menacingly... then dropping when he saw her. Not a criminal then. What a waste of time.
"Sorry," he said, a bit gruffly. After having been with the others for so long, then so abruptly alone, being with anyone who wasn't a criminal to drag in felt... odd. He wasn't sure what to do with himself.

She could not stop her body from jumping back when he jumped out in front of her, making her heart race in her chest. She had to take in a deep sharp breath in order to calm herself, almost forgetting she was holding her breath when he spoke. She had to think over his words, but finally she would respond. "It is fine, you are forgiven." She gave a soft smile, and a slight laugh as she moved in closer. Head shook, shaking the short bangs from her face, making the long twisted braid shift back and forth along her side.
Small hooves caressed along the ground until she stopped just a little ways away, close enough she could get a better look at his face and eyes. "Are you hunting for someone?" She had asked, ears pulling back along her head. He looked harmless, and she, well she was harmless, to a point.

"Criminals," he said shortly. "It's what I do. You are not in any database I have access to as a criminal, so good day," he said, determined not to make any more friends. He didn't need any more friends. Didn't need any friends at all, really, And she'd just think he was a girl, anyway.

The young mare snorted at him slightly. She would stretch slightly before rolling her shoulders, in a way to shrug him off. She glanced from the corner of her eyes then back to him. "Well, if you want to leave me out here all alone then go ahead and wonder off." She said lightly. She then moved past him along the path, heading on her way. Though she did stop, her ears pulling up. "Who are you looking for out here? Should I be on guard?"

He gaped at her. "Leave you all alone?" he demanded. "You were alone when I found you! It is not as though I took responsibility for you then proposed to leave you in a lurch! You were never my responsibility. You do not get to guilt me. Just because I am a Hunter, do not presume so much!"

She let out a gasp, her frame jerking away from him as she pulled her ears back. "I take it you can not take a joke can you?" She looked over him for a moment, her nostrils flaring out before she turned from him, her tail flicking heavily. She was a bit shocked at how short his temper was.

He felt his eyes near to turning. He closed them and breathed deeply and evenly until he had his temper under control. "Apologies," he said softly. "I have been some time without the company of those who are not either contacts or criminals." He rolled his shoulders, the chains of his weapon lacing themselves up his hoof under the sleeve, so that all he seemed to have was an interesting bracelet showing under one sleeve.

She did not turn back to him, maybe because she was a bit hurt, and was hiding it, but, she did good at it. She was used to hiding the feelings some times, when she needed to. "It is forgiven." it was all that passed from her lips, simple words, but at least she forgave him. It was not nice to hold people forever on a small act. She too took in a deep calming breath before finally she turned once more to face him, getting a better look.
"I am sure it has been hard being on your own. I have never really ever been on my own until now. It is a lonely and rather distant path I walk, but I am looking to meet back up with the group once I get to the next city, if I make it that is." She spoke calmly, a smile on her lips as those multi colored eyes came to look at his face. "I am Yuna by the way."

"Kurupica," he relied shortly. He hesitated, then sighed inwardly. "I could do with updating my data in town. I could escort you, if you wish. Hunters often serve such a role," he informed her. "Then you can return to your group." And leave him alone once more.

Yuna offered a smile as she glanced at him. "You have an interesting name. I like the sound of it." She would turn towards the way to town where she was supposed to meet up with everyone. She was not sure what to say to him at this pint, and not get her head chewed off for saying something wrong. "I would not mind having some protection, Do not get me wring I can handle myself if I need to." She flicked her hip to knock some of the fabric away to show the special adapted gun she had there.

He shrugged as he walked, which was quite a trick in a four-legged form. He wanted to tell her that she could go off on her own then, but he refrained. It was fine. He was a hunter, he would earn his keep, he would update his data, and he would begin the hunt anew. He could tolerate her presence for the short journey to the town, he was sure. He had survived worse, after all. And he had spent time with Hisoka. No one was worse than that, save for those he intended to kill.
