Vremea had decided to change up her daily routine for once. The yellowblood was so used to following it to the T, even the minor things, like which book she read during work, or even which she started from. No. Today, she was going to change. No more reading!! (at least, not for tonight)
Instead, she decided to draw. Ok, so it wasn't a big difference-- they still involved books and sitting on her desk, but really, what else could she do? Talk? It was a library for heaven's sake! And even then, the lolita actually wanted to. It'd been a while since she last picked up a pencil to draw-- she'd been too focused on reading everything she could find, she didn't even think to continue some of the sketch ideas she had! Sure, she had a few in mind... but she needed to finish the ones she had half-done before continuing with those in her mind. Vremea quickly started drawing little bodies on a different page, planning to take the ideas she liked the most and redraw them little by little. Thankfully that day wasn't a busy day. She didn't think she'd be able to focus on drawing with noise in the library!

Mili carefully picked her way around the towering stacks of books. Stacked precariously high, they looked as if even a slight nudge would send them toppling down. Yet it always called her back, this library. Winding around the very death trap of literature was becoming second nature. Owl-mom had even begun to calm down and instead of waddling slowly in tow of her charge, now rested by a table. This tiny bit of freedom was delicious, and the knowledge from all these little escapades even better.
Most of the books on relationships were of blackrom or redrom. There was some about pale ships, but the auspice was almost completely missing from the fold. Mili scrutinized each book carefully. With their tiny, illedgible font and long winded titles, reading just two or three made her head swim. Thankfully, one of the titles was new. It was a bit morose sounding "Why auspiticing is a dying art and how you should really consider yourself lucky to have or be a third and if you don't well you're a nooksniff." There was a longer subtitle included on the cover, but Mili ignored reading it for now.
Sliding the tome from the shelf, she made her way back to her table and stretched. Owl mom curiously looked at the book and made a soft hoot of approval before returning to whatever Owl-mom did when not hooting or approving or disapproving of her charge's actions. Mili looked around, worried that the hoot would have bothered someone. That was when she noticed the beautiful Lolita girl. Her blood was rather low, but her fashion sense was really high up there.
Opening the book, she began to read.

The small hoot was what made her unfocused. Vremea blinked, having been able to draw almost 3 different outfit ideas before looking up, her pout slightly accentuated now more than usual. Who made that noise...? Well, it was a small one, so she should not have been annoyed, but seeing as she just started getting into drawing she hadn't gotten completely focused. Vremea looked around a little, searching for the source before finally settling upon a young girl with her hair picked up into an elegant bun. She had two small nubs on the top of her head, as well as a strange birthmark on her lower left eye. Her clothes were fitting for someone of her rank, and Vremea couldn't help but wonder where she received that pattern-- like seriously, Vremea was dying to ask. However, she was of higherblood-- that would be disrespectful and rude... but she wasn't too high. Teal frightened her, sure, but not to the point that she wanted to run.
Sliding her hand to massage her wrist a little, the female lay back in her chair a little, her small nose inhaling air before sighing and shutting her eyes. Then she sat up almost immediately, eyes brightening, having just thought of an idea for an outfit, immediately sketching it up. By the time that she realized what it was, it was already on the paper. Vremea blinked at it. Oh no, she... drew her. She flushed a light color of yellow in embarrassment and looked down at the drawing. Ooooh, but the outfit is so cute! She glanced over to the girl, then went back to sketching little outfit deigns of her-- one more wouldn't hurt, right?

Milieu wasn't aware of what was going on, at first that was. Her focus was on the book. It's intricate writing was filled with hidden meanings that were meant to keep young trolls at bay. But mili knew that in order to be the best pale black helper she could be she would need to read. Even if it was boring. Soon the feeling of eyes and being watched caught up to her. Looking around she spotted the yellow blood. The teen was very lovely looking. A slight smile came to milis face. She wasn't too high on the spectrum, but higher than the teen. That meant culling was off the menu. Standing up, mili wrote a message and folded it neatly. Approaching Vemmy she passed the yellowblood the note. |I can't help but notice you're a teen. Are you reading up on the quadrants? If you have pale black questions, I could help...|

Vremea had been sketching something that looked like a cross between a large sweater and a jacket on the young tealblood when she heard something walking over to her. At first she didn't realize it, but after hearing the soft 'tap tap' of her shoes on the ground, Vremea couldn't help but shake herself out of concentration and look up at— oh, gosh, it was her. She slid her drawings cooly under a book, then looked at her with an analyzing stare before taking the message from her and reading it carefully.
The effect was instantaneous. Her face instantly turned a light shade of yellow, and she sputtered. "I-I— oh goodness," she said, then let out a small unplanned giggle, fidgeting with the note. She looked around a little before looking at the girl with amused eyes. "I am not currently on the look out for any romances, actually." She said softly, before remembering a girl with the short soft hair and the mischievous smile, her lithe and slightly muscled figure from working with mechanics, the way she flew all over the place in a rush. Vremea blushed deeply. "Or well, at least, not now," she said a little longingly, rubbing her nose slightly. "Although I do read about them all the time." The whisper slid out of her mouth smoothly, leaving her trying to calm herself. She then eyed the young female. "You seem a bit young to be researching on the romances." She stated, enjoying this throughly— "But I will not hold you back. You are free to read what ever you like." She responded neatly, looking at the note and wondering if it was because a library was supposed to be quiet, or if she just liked passing notes.

Ah, so the older teen wasn't researching romance? Well that left her with one less customer, but... For a moment Mili was stuck. Did she walk away from Vremea, or did she remain there and continue talking to the older teen? There was something nice about Vremmy... Like a sweet air that attracted Mili. Pulling out a chair beside her, the little troll started to scrawl out a new note.
| It's actually my profession. I want to be a matchmaker. You were drawing before, correct? Might I see hat you were doing? | Art was wonderful to look at. Mili passed Vremmy the new note and gave her a small, shy smile.

Vremea eyed the younger troll with a tad of suspicion when she pulled up a chair beside her. This was the librarians desk! How rude. She tensed a little-- She was being horribly friendly, she had only just met her as was already acting like a friend. Maybe that was normal...? Vremea didn't know. She didn't exactly talk to many people outside of her normal, irritatingly repetitive life. Maybe she could let her guard down.
Just once. She was just a kid.
Watching the young girl scribble away another note, the lolita tried to slide the art away from the table before she looked back up and handed her another note. Vremea read it carefully, then widened her eyes slightly. Oh, great. This girl was onto her. "A matchmaker..." She stated plainly, but then again that sounded nice... to think of all the stories of she would be able to hear. So interesting!
The yellowblood bristled at her next sentence, then pursed her lips. "I..." She bit her inner tongue, then sighed in defeat-- of course, of course she would know. She pulled it from under the book and slid it to her, embarrassed. Hopefully she didn't think bad about her because of that. She felt so humiliated.

Mili was most likely being too friendly, but she really couldn't help it. She was bitter more often than not, but in this place, where no one could know she was mute just because she was writing notes, Milieu felt more at home and happy.
It was surprising that Vremmy seemed so... defeated by showing the drawing. Mili loved to draw, but wasn't the best. She wasn't about to judging the older girl. Well, or so she thought.
Mili stared in surprise, a teal flush forming on her cheeks. The picture as of her in ... in a very cute over sized sweater. Milieu looked to Vremmy, her eyes still surprisd and that blush still so deep. She shakily wrote the next note
|Are you a designer..? This is... very cute. But I don't think I look this nice.|

Watching as the young trolls face flushed teal, her own face flushed yellow as she felt the urge to cover her face and wriggle on the floor like an idiot. Oh no, she must've seemed totally weird now, like a stalker or something, uuggghhh... Vremea looked away as the girl looked to her, and then out of the corner of her eye watched as she wrote a response. She closed her eyes, waiting to hear her stop writing, not wanting to see her expression of embarrassment until the last minute. Vremea was surprised the girl did not even "eep" in surprise. If it had been Vremea to find this out, she would've shut herself in her home and never left, she would've been so paranoid!
Hearing her stop, Vremea peeked one eye open, then blushed deeper. She was speechless. Vremea took her pencil and quickly wrote a response in her normal cursive, to stunned to speak. | By the moons, no! It'd be a waste being one with this society. I do adore designing outfits every now and then. | She stopped and tapped her pencil to the paper, then underneath, scrawled in her cursive again— | You are simply adorable. Very chic. I adore the design on your pants. Where did you tailor them? | She would have to one day find a way to push one into her wardrobe.

Mili was relieved when Vremmy started writing notes again. Good... Good. She wouldn't start asking questions yet about the silence. If Vrem kept speaking it would be awkward to continue passing notes like this. Taking her mind off of that, she considered the note that Vremmy wrote.
Her handwriting was neat and tidy. It had a lovely flourish at the end. A nice added detail that Mili found befitting of the fashionable troll. Mili's handwriting was blocky and very neat. She could not afford anyone to misread what she wrote or to have her handwriting be unreadable.
So the yellowblood was not a designer after all? That was surprising. It was even more surprising to be called adorable. A deeper flush colored Mili's cheeks. Gaping for a moment, Mili snapped her jaw shut and looked down. Very carefully she worded her reply.
|You really should consider being a designer. Your attention to detail and style is very marvelous. While children tend to wear bland attire, the elder trolls wear more elaborate frocks. You could have a potentially marketable skill.
As for being adorable, that's the first time someone has ever said so to me. Thank you, Miss... what is your name? I designed them my own. I found the material in a shop and bought enough to make the bloomers. As for the tailor, I think they died. I haven't heard from them in a long time. |
