Would be colourists
- You have a right not to be hassled. You're doing this because you're a cool person, and you don't deserve to feel pressured or stressed. If someone is pressuring you or making you feel uncomfortable, please come and talk to staff and we will do our best to resolve it.
- If you don't feel able to fulfil what somebody is asking you absolutely do not have to accept.
- Please accept only one piece at a time.
- This is how you set up your thread. Something like [User's Art Requests] OPEN! Then inside you have a list of what kinds of markings you can do/want to do and a few examples.
- When you accept a piece please give an estimated time of arrival. If you're going to be delayed let the person who you're arting for know, and if it takes more then double the time that you estimated, they're free to go elsewhere.
- We’re happy with edits, and we’d love to see you play with the lines. However, we’ve got a few rules about how they need to be used. Although we’re happy for you to do awesome fun things with them, for official character art, we’d like you to stick to ‘naturalistic’ edits - that is, things like jewellery, straps, missing limbs, or even their rider or other creatures. If you want to edit one of the templates for your creature, you need to consult one of the staff members so they can approve/disapprove it first (which also saves a lot of time because we can say yay or nay BEFORE you put the hard work in!). We also want you to credit Yorugami wherever it goes up and whatever you do with it.
- DB has five colours for it’s creatures - gold, bronze, brown, blue and green. Please try and stick to a colour scheme that more or less reflects this. We’re not going to fight over whether something is ACTUALLY PURPLE because we’re all adults and it’s tedious, we just want you to be aware of this. This is no problem for markings that are about 40% or less of the dragon, wher or flitt so long as it's not a blatant deviation for the right colour such as a really strong lavender for a blue, or bright red not brown. If you’re not sure if something’s OK, ping it to Con or Tawny and we’ll take a look.
- You can set your own prices for colouring work, or do it entirely for free! Just be aware that we strongly disapprove of anyone charging real-life money for colouring or edits, and anyone doing this may have their colouring privileges revoked.
- You can colour any creature that’s been handed out by staff, i.e. someone who already has a creature asks you to colour it. You can recolour another artist’s work (Con has blanket approval for recolours of everything and anything she's done), though we suggest that you talk to the original artist first to ensure that they are alright with this.
