Depawsit || The two seemed to have been walking for what seemed like forever. Or at least in Rahasya's mind it had been forever! All Jalouzi did was whine and drag her down, it was like she couldn't do a thing for herself! Honestly, she couldn't think of one good reason why she had agreed to come along with the female now that they were nearly there. "Ugh, I think we're finally almost there Rahasya, I can see the sand!" Jalouzi chimed in half heartedly as she winced against the sun to the white sand beaches ahead of their vision. "At least I hope that's a beach! You don't think its another mirage again do you?" Rahasya's claws ground into the dirt as she tried to find a tone of voice that wouldn't offend the female. "No.." She groaned tensely "I think you're right this time Jalouzi, we're actually here!" The excitement slowly rose in her voice as she began to believe her own words. They were here, finally, no longer did she have to babysit her little ward!
Thalion || Of all the rumors that Shandor and his gypsies had spread among the wilds, perhaps the best known was among the most absurd- the rocks had eyes. Cliffs towered above the coastline, slowly sloping into a thin wood with britle, dry beach grass and the occassional mossy patch. The sand seemed to be everywhere, even some places within the woods . The shriveled sand-blasted trees provided some shelter but they didn't grow very tall and their knotted branches tended to tangle through one another, providing a dark canopy. A shadow slipped behind the two newcomers, smooth as silk and silent as a sigh. His pelt was far from stealthy but he knew to keep to the shadows, to move when the wind would mask his movements, and to avoid the dry, britle grass. He narrowed his eyes and lifted an ear. Here? They were looking for this place...
Depawsit || Jalouzi nearly dropped all of the gems she'd been carrying upon her back as she slipped right into a celebratory dance. She had been waiting so long to arrive here .. the land of the voices ... the land where she would once again here her Mother's voice ... Before she could get too down and into her dance though, a little something hit her and stopped her right in her tracks. "But what do we do now that we're here? This is a pride right, d-don't prides have rules about newcomers?" Gulping down her words, the lioness began to quiver as she anticipated Rahasya's next words. Rahasya's eyes rolled so far back in her head, that if they could rolled right out of her skull they probably would have. Don't get her wrong, Jalouzi was a sweet girl, but she was NOT a traveling companion for those of short temperments. "We talk to the leaders Jalouzi, that's what you're supposed to do. And stop all that shaking, you'll make them think we're bringing some disease into their pride!" Rahsya shook her head at the nonsense before nudging it in the direction of the beach. "Look, the beach is that way, and it looks like most of the life of the pride is that way too." Pausing for a moment, she looked to her right. She could have sworn she'd seen something ... it must have been her eyes playing tricks. "Lets make our way there, and find out who the leaders of this place are OK?"
Thalion || Nico smirked and slowly retrieved a pebble from under his paws. Sitting back, he held one paw flat while the other carefully flicked the pebble outwards. It met with the bark of a tree with a subtle, but still telltale snap. A moment later another pebble was flung, snapping off of a tree in the other direction. Newcomers were fun. While it was policy to let anyone in, Riddlemouth wasn't against having a little fun with them to test their metal and the strength of their resolve. For Firedog, it was a test of his own wit and ability to play with the minds of newcomers.
Depawsit || "WHAT WAZZAT!" Jalouzi nearly squeaked as she heard the simple taps against the trees. Even the lightest of noises were enough to set the poor thing on edge, and Rahasya knew it. Looking from left to right, she couldn't easily identify what the situation had been. "Calm yourself Jalouzi it was probably just a bird or something. We are in a forest after all." The words were softly spoken, but if you listened with the right ears you could hear the tension within them. Jalouzi was beginning to wear very thin on her. There was something going on here, and Rahasya knew that. But she couldn't tell her partner that. It would only set her off on a spell of madness. Something she did not have the patience for right now. "Alright! Enough is enough. Jalouzi sit, breathe and relax. ROCK THROWER, reveal yourself!" She grumbled angrily, watching as the paniced lioness heard her words and began to breathe heavier and faster. "S-Someone else is here?! Y-You said it was a bird?!"
Thalion || The lion dropped the few pebbles he had stockpiled in the palm of his paw and rolled his eyes. Well at least one of them was clever enough to know someone was tossing rocks. He stepped around the tree that had cloaked him and offered the two lionesses a slender smile. "Very good. A keen eye. I am impressed."
Depawsit || "Very impressive, a lion with a throwing arm. And quite the distance on it too!" Rahasya grinned at him with a nod. "Looks like you did a number on my friend here, but don't worry too much, she'll be back to normal soon." Nudging her friend in the hip, she chuckled. "Right Jalouzi?" Realizing now that the male standing before them was the 'bird' Rahasya was speaking of, Jalouzi began to calm down. Though she was still nervous of his large stature. He looked as though he could beat her up with one claw! The thought made her shudder with fear. IN response to Jalouzi's question, the most she could do was smile and offer a courteous wave. "So, is this really the mysterious Kizinga'zaa we've been searching for? Or should we hitch up once more and go back to searching?" Rahasya asked, her eyes pleading with the male to say yes. But every other part of her remaing stoic and proud. She wouldn't show weakness to him, at least not while knowing she was showing weakness
Thalion || "Flicking claws actually." He lifted a claw and gave it a small flex. Throwing wouldn't have been subtle at all and he might have harmed the two newcomers. "Oh there was no harm intended, my apologies. We tend to ... have a little fun when someone crosses our borders." He snorted. "Mysterious. We've clearly not done a good enough job getting our names out there. Yes- welcome to my pride." He stepped forward with a casual flick of his tail. "My name is Fire Dog, gypsy lord of this pride."
Depawsit || Rahasya stuck her tongue out at the male's cocky correction. He seemed nice enough, though he did seem to have a certain ... air about him didn't he? "She'll be just fine, don't you worry. She's just a skittish little thing." Gently placing a paw on Jalouzi's she patted it softly and watched Jalouzi's face light up response. "See she's all smiles aga-" The lioness could hardly finish her sentence before her partner was once again on her feet cheering for joy. "Yahoo! Did you hear that Rahasya, THIS IS IT! WE REALLY ARE HERE!" OH YEAH - WE DID IT!" Jalouzi cheered, beginning to beat her paws on the ground in celebration as a tiny dance began to fill her shoes. "Pfft Gypsy Lord? What does that mean, you're like the King or something? Don't tell me the King goes around throwing rocks at newcomers!" Rahasya burst out laughing atthe very idea. Not meaning to offend of course, but simply the idea of a king having that type of attitude ... it was quite unique. "This is ... definitely a different type of pride than i'm used to isn't it?" She asked jokingly of the somewhat charming Gypsy Lord.
Thalion || He opened his mouth to offer further exposition concerning the pride but the more...excitable of the two cut both he and the other female off. He shook off the startled gape with a compromising smile and bobbed his shoulder. They were here. Seemed they were looking specifically for them. Why? He couldn't know. "Skittish isn't the word I would have chosen, Rahasya." he brought a paw to his ear and rubbed at it a little to make a point. "Ah, no. The gypsy king is the king. A lord is either the son or brother of a ruler. In my case- it's the former." He smiled a bit. "Queen fireheart is my mother. I have been tasked with border patrol today- it keeps me out of trouble. Most days." He laughed lightly. "Different, yes, but that goes without saying."

Depawsit ||
Rahasya let out a snort of her own at Fire Dog's reaction but tried to hide it from Jalouzi. Instead she nodded at him in silence, with a fond smile upon her face. "Ah so you picked up on my name did you? Smart too, my you have a lot going for you don't you?" Grinning from ear to ear, she sat and listened as Fire Dog continued to explain the ranks to her and Jalouzi. Though she highly doubted Jalouzi was listening as she should be. She would likely have a bit more baby sitting to do before the two could truly part ways. "I see, it must be nice having your Mother be the queen of such a large pride. Though border patrol? Doesn't sound like you're getting many of the perks are you?" Letting out another laugh she patted the male on the shoulder before going forward. "I'm kidding of course, I suppose everyone has their duties as with anywhere else. Its good to see a hard working pride, that isn't biased around royalty. I'd like to shake your parent's paws someday."
Thalion || "You're coming to join here so I figure I should be a gentleman and give you a bit of an advantage." He stepped a little closer, his movements nearly boneless. He knew the land, knew every dip and pebble. "Gypsies have sharp ears. We miss very little. Some of us are said to have eyes on the backs of our ears. Some of us can hear the stones whisper." He brought a paw up and muttered. "Just a suggestion, keep a good few steps between yourself and those ones." He stepped foward, clearly expecting to be followed. There were a few patrons that wouldn't be entirely thrilled with newcomers. If they were with him, they'd not be questioned for a moment. "I have my perks, but a gentlemen keeps those things to himself. As for my parents- we'll see. My mother may be dealing with the king. A pawfull that one."
Depawsit || "Is that so? Now that's a talent I wouldn't mind picking up on!" Rahasya's smile grew as Fire Dog drew closer to reveal his secret. "I think i'll take your word for it. Unless ... they offer to teach me their secrets. Then I may be tempted." Winking at the taller male, she watched as he walked ahead of them and quickly realized he was going to take them straight away. "Come on Jalouzi, lets get a move on, he doesn't have all day!" Rahasya called, giving the lioness a tug on the tail before following after Fire Dog quickly. Being careful to watch her every step, and anxious to make her first appearance before the Queen and possible King. "H--HEY! WAIT FOR ME!" Jalouzi called anxiously, gathering her excitement together in one alrge burst of energy. Kicking the sand beneath her feet, she raced off to catch up with the two quite a bit ahead of her. There was no way she was going to get left behind when she'd only just found the place where she truly belonged.
