Hikari looked around the restaurant he was in. There were so many people here he just didn't know and it made him nervous. His tails swished a little bit as he tried to stay calm and just relax. He looked around some more at all of the people in this place. He had never been here before and he had only come here because his friend had told him he had to get out more and meet more people. and his friend had threatened him with either dragging him into a parade where there would be so many people pressed against him or he could go to this restaurant and talk to a few people. It had been a no brainer to pick this option out of the two. This one would lead to less interactions with people and he wouldn't have to be so close to people.

He knew why his friend was sending him out more and it had nothing to do with meeting people. He wanted to meet someone special that he could fall in love with and feel safe with. His friend knew that too and that was why he was being forced to go out to more places. But how would he find someone here? How would he find someone at all he just didn't like to talk to new people. They were so odd and he had only met a few he liked. But then again that might be because he had only talked to a few people. He tilted his head and his earring caught the light. He had ordered some french fries since he liked those and most places could make them very well. He sipped his water and swished his tails some more. The was slowly starting to relax as he spent more time here. The people here were being kind and no one them had taken too much of an interest in him. Although a few people kept glancing at him.

Hikari smiled as he looked around the place. It was a cute restaurant and the people seemed nice enough though he hadn't really talked to any of them yet. But he hoped they were as nice as they seemed. But he still felt odd he felt like he should be doing something. But what he just didn't know. He chuckled and his tails swished a bit more. They were soft and the light caught on some of the markings in his fur. He listened in on a few of the conversations some of the regulars were having and tilted his head as they talked about the staff here and other things. he was curious to know about all of the different people here but he thought it would be rude to just but in on someone's conversation and none of these people knew him so it would be really weird. He didn't see anyone else who looked like him. He had met a few others with tails like his but not that many and he wished he could meet more.

He looked out a window and up at the sky it was a really nice day maybe after he had some food and talked to someone he could go out and spend sometime outside in the fresh air. It would be nice for him to do. He loved being out in nature and this was a very good day to do that. He was brought back to his surroundings and reality when his ear twitched at hearing a sound approaching him. He looked to see that a girl or at least he thought it was a girl approach him. Though she didn't really look like any girl he had met before. She was very pretty and her tail caught his attention as the light flashed off of the different colors. He smiled back at her as he saw such a sweet smile on her face. He looked down at the fries and his stomach growled loudly demanding he feed it. He blushed and looked down then back up at her.

"Thank you miss I am sure I will enjoy them they look really good. And as you could have heard I am very hungry. Is there any chance you could get me a glass of juice? If you are too busy then there is no need to get it but if you aren't then that would be great."

Hikari flashed her a boyish smile and tilted his head. He looked at her very kindly and wondered what her name was.She seemed so interesting. He had never met anyone like her before and he wondered if he would be able to get to know her or not.

Hikari saw the smile that she flashed him and blushed even more. He wasn't used to being around people and it was really embarrassing to have someone else hear the sounds his stomach made. He looked at her hands not wanting to look up at her or meet her eyes. He caught sight of the tail flicking back and forth.

"Pretty."

His eyes widened as he realized he had said that out loud. He really hoped she hadn't heard that. He looked up and saw that her eyes were flashing so many odd colors. Hikari wondered why they were flashing like that. It was very pretty but he had never seen someone's eyes do that. He watched them return to normal again and grinned as she gave him a smile and bobbed her head. He took a bite of the fries and licked his lips. They tasted so good. He ate a few more and seemed so happy about this. The food helped to quiet his stomach and he grinned. He flashed a smile at her when she spoke. He saw her push her brown hair over a shoulder and tilted his head. He hummed softly as he thought about what he wanted to drink. He say her eyes flash again. He wanted to ask why they did that but thought it would be rude.

"Do you have pineapple juice? That would be heavenly." He let his tails flick a bit as he sat there and looked up at her. He had a soft sweet smile on his lips.

Hikari looked up and saw her concern for him when he blushed. He couldn't understand why she was concerned about that. There was nothing to worry about he was just embarrassed by what he had said. He hadn't been thinking and it had just slipped out of his mouth. He really hand't meant for that to happen yet it was already out so no reason to fret. When her tail wagged more he wanted to reach out a hand and touch it to see how soft it was but he resisted that urge. He blushed more when she laughed was she laughing at him? Well no need to worry about that either. He bowed his head to her.

"You're welcome miss. What's your name if you don't mind me asking?"

He watched her as she stood there. She was so different from others he had met but he didn't really know anything about her. Getting to know her sounded like a very good idea. He watched her head back and then saw her walk back over with the juice. Her smiles were always genuine and sweet it seemed. He took a sip and purred softly as it tasted so good.

"Thank you so much. Would you like to stay and chat for a bit I don't want to be a bother though so if you don't want to that's fine. I just don't know anyone here and you seem nice."

He shrugged and looked down at his fries eating a few so he didn't have to meet her eyes. Not wanting her to think he was a freak or anything like that. He just wasn't good with people. Hadn't really had to deal much with people before so that made it hard.

Hikari smiled as she bowed her head too. He wasn't sure why she had done that but it was very cute. Seeing her beam back he relaxed more and smiled back at her. He watched her tapping fingers and took another bite of a fry.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Charity Reibow. My name is Hikari Mamori no need to call me sir or anything like that."

He hoped she would want to sit and talk with him. He wanted a friend and she seemed so nice and sweet. But maybe she would only stay and talk to be polite. Though he didn't even know if she would sit with him and that was rather important. He saw her look at the other employees and smiled as she seemed to be almost bouncing. Well then maybe she really did want to sit with him and talk. He was happy when it seemed that the other employees were ok. He beamed at her as she sat down next to him and he saw her tail wagging softly. His tail wagged in delight and he pushed the plate of fries to her offering her some if she wanted them.

"Yay. I am very glad that you wants to sit and talk with me. I'm delighted that you are so happy about talking with me." He was really really happy about this.

Hikari watched her eyes flash and wondered why they did that. It was really pretty but also very odd. But he liked it. He looked down at her and studied them. He looked up at her and smiled as she looked at the fries. He pushed them to her in case she wanted some and took a few. Hikari ate them and smiled. But then frowned as he thought about her question. What did they taste like? How to describe the taste of a french fry?

"Have you never had one before? Yeah it's really good if you would like you can have some.... Well they taste warm and crisp and depending on the oil they are fried in their taste can change. They are soft on the inside and a bit harder on the outside. The taste like the oil and the potatoes. Then there is the salt taste when salt is added to them. And if you add ketchup it an acidic taste that rounds out the more mild taste of the fries. I'm not sure how to describe a food. Sorry. I hope that helps at least a little bit." He shrugged and bit his lip.
