There were questions in her head, lots and lots of questions. Some were more useful than others, and some might never have an answer. (Like 'I wonder what whales talk about? She'd likely never know.) It was possible to hunt down answers for SOME things, though. Maybe, if she were lucky.

Like all her questions about that red fragment that had animated the bone collector. The thing seemed sentient, for crying out loud. It had offered them power. Armagnac was still upset Sherry had refused it, so Sherry tried not to dwell on that fact. Which was difficult, given that she kept thinking about the whole event.

Maybe it was nothing. Maybe it was something. Only one way to find out.

The only problem was that she didn't know who to ask. Mark had taken the thing from Jake, but Sherry knew he'd likely passed it off to someone in Life. Artifact department? Did it count as an artifact? Who would know? People who study fear? The Doctor? His assistant? Some poor random tech with a lab coat? Maybe she should start near the top, and then work her way down. That would be better than running around asking random people about strange things they might not have a clue about. Yep. Best to start 'up' and work her way down.

Totally not sure where to begin, Sherry picked an office and knocked. "Quick question, if you don't mind, sir."

She'd found the assistant's door, which opened to reveal a harried looking woman and a small fire in a trashcan behind her. Her hair was large and full of tiny, tight curls that made it poof out into a blonde bird's nest with several pens sticking out. Her eyes were wide and a little blood shot as she stared down at Sherry. "Yes?! Whaaaaaaaaaaat?!!!!!"

"I, uh..." Sherry stared wide-eyed at the woman, hoping for a spark of recognition and finding none. Surely she'd remember hair like that? "Uh." Staring was bad, so rather than wonder how many pens the woman had in her hair, Sherry glanced away. Oh. Fire. That was rarely good. "Ah-"

Taking a deep breath, Sherry decided to start over. "Hi," she smiled, looking at the woman. "I'm Sherry Greyson, and I've come looking for some information."

Her gaze went back to the trashcan. "Is everything okay?"

"I'm Penelope," she answered, eyes darting back and forth across the hall. Finding no immediate threat she tugged Sherry in. Primping her hair a bit and then lightly slapping her cheeks, she ignored the fire and took an exaggeratedly casual seat behind the desk. "Oh me? I'm fine. Division Assistant you know. Can't move this high up the ranks without being on top of your game."

Leaning back in the chair, a bit too far and resulting in awkward fumble and close shave with outright falling, she finally settled into posture extremely reminiscent of their division leader. "Well, my dear," her voice had dropped low and smooth to point of sounding like a cartoon villain, "...what was the question, hmmm?"

"Ah-" Sherry tried really hard to stop staring as Penelope pulled her in and sat down. "Right, top of your game," she she repeated. It wasn't said in a mocking way at all, just a stunned sort of way. On one hand, Sherry was scolding herself for not having formally met this woman before, and on the other...the fire was a bit distracting- in a 'that can't be safe' sort of way. Not to mention, Miss Penelope was far too casual about the whole thing.

That, all by itself, was distracting. But it was only polite not to laugh at a Division Assistant. Or ask again about things being alright.

"I..." Sherry paused again when Penelope seemed to try and channel the good Dr. That didn't make Sherry uncomfortable at all, nope- except it did, but at least it wasn't creeper uncomfortable. This girl was a character, that was for sure. Sherry just had to play it cool, right? Go along with it, until she figured out how serious Penelope was about it all. She could do that. "A few weeks ago I was sent on a mission. On that mission we ran across some sort of fragment. It glowed red and stuff and had the power to animate a dead horseman skeleton. After we defeated that, it -the fragment- offered us power and showed us some weird vision. I... was hoping to find out more about it." Sometimes the words just tumbled out of her.

Right. A question. "Do you know anything about it? Or who it might have been handed off to for research?"
