Richelle exhaled sharply, landing on the ground with an audible thud. Well that was pathetic, she thought in mild irritation picking herself back up and wincing as she saw blood on her front hoof. That's doubly irritating, she added with a sigh, walking slowly toward the pile of weapons she kept under the nearby tree. I just can't seem to get this right... She gingerly picked up the dagger and whip placing them on her back before walking on. She acutely noticed the time --- sunset, her favorite part of the day --- and smiled a small smile. Well...At least I can enjoy this.
She made her way to the edge of the forest and sat under a bigger tree, looking up at the sky. Training was hard, she didn't always succeed, and it frustrated her given who her father was. Maybe someday...

 Astranaar was unaware that anyone else was around, let alone under the high tree branches he had chosen as his perch. His eyes fixed to the sunset, he decided to play. First he was subtle, shaping the clouds slowly to his whims, drawing forth faces and shapes. Then slowly he grew more bold and adventurous, painting the sky a myriad of dazzling colors. He grinned, watching the show. It had been some time indeed since he had last flexed his creative abilities.

Richelles eyes widened as the sky above her changed seemingly on its own. These kinds of things happened in the colony all the time, but she'd never seen them happen outside of home. She made an excited type of gasping sound when the sky turned a golden shade and sat up, as if she could reach up and grab it."That is awesome," she said outloud, not thinking that someone might be able to hear her. "I wonder what kind of natural magic does it?" She continued to watch and when the sky turned back to its normal color she leaned back on the tree, replaying the sights in her mind. "I wish I could do that..."

Hearing her voice, he almost fell out of the tree and his hold on the illusions broke. He stumbled and staggered, trying not to fall, then pushed free of the branch to land before her. "My apologies," he said softly. "I did not know anyone was near."

"Ack! Richelle fell back against the tree, knocking her head into a branch."Owh --- Oh, no worries, it was...Wait." she stopped, a look of surprise coming onto her face. That was you?" she asked, quickly standing herself back up. "That was amazing!" Richelle added, smiling at him, hoping it sounded genuine instead of just...creepy. "Stuff like that happens back Home all the time but...I've never seen it outside of the Colony. I was surprised is all, I definitely love what you do." Suddenly, as if it were an afterthought, Richelle quickly retrieved her weapons, hoping he didn't notice the number of them. "I'm Richelle...If you've heard of Cort, my Dad, then you might already know what kinda stuff I'm used to. But none of its as advanced as that. How long have you been doing it?"

"I have not heard of any sort of Court," he said, having misunderstood her, "but I have done these sort of illusions since I was a foal. My parents... Well, I love them, so I'll say nothing more. My siblings and I went our own ways, however, and have each found ways to amuse ourselves. This is mine."
