((To save us all from copyright infringment... Starbucks is known as Starbacks, and Cinnabon is known as Cennabon. Oh I am so clever.))

The feline gave a bored yawn, following after his mother as she clung to his hand as if she didn't he'd vanish. Which was likely true. The boys constantly flashed to some display that caught his eye with a dragon, or something else that simply couldn't be. He would have been gone in an instant if she hadn't kept a firm hold on him with one hand, and left the other to carrying the variety of bags.

Today was shopping day, and that meant getting new clothes for the ones Keanu had managed to ruin. This week it was just one shirt, when he'd gone hunting for elves in some bushes. Or maybe an entrance to the underground kingdom. Really it didn't matter, the fact was not only had he stained the white shirt with grass, mud, and something neither had been able to identify. But he'd snagged it on some branches. Leaving his would be mother rather exasperated with him. Though she still hadn't managed to stay angry at him long enough for the punishments she attempted to give to sink in. It seemed every lecture she tried to give was lost to the hard headed snow leopard. He still didn't realize cars where dangerous, and that bed time meant bed time.

The woman wondered on oblivious, obviously on some quest while the boy followed more, or less obediant. Sometimes he might lag as he tried to pause, and gaze longingly at some display that really caught his eyes. The brilliant colors seeming to fly at him, but a quick tug, not enough to cause the boy any discomfort really, would get him moving again. This act continued through one store where the woman selected a shirt for herself. Which seemed pointless to the boy, he rarely saw her in anything, but that labcoat. And he lived with her if that was any indication of how much use the shirt might get. Though still, she did buy it, and added that bag to another as she started out, glancing at her watch.

"Keanu, are you hungry?" She asked, obviously it was around noon if she was asking that.

"A little..." He mumbled, still more interested in the fabulous claims stores made to him with the occaisional blinking lights, and such. Though as he took a few more steps something just as good tickled his nose. Sweet tangy cinnamon, mixed with the smell of bread. He quickly glanced around trying to find the source, and it didn't take too long, for a nice size swirly bun was evident on the menu. He stopped, pointing his free hand toward the sign. "Can I have one of those, please? For a snack before lunch?" He asked, trying to look darling as possible.

Raja glanced at where the boy was indicating as he spoke, also noting what was right across from it. With a convenient bench in the middle. Starbacks. She could deffinitely use a latte. Then again, when couldn't you use a latte? "Well, I suppose. Since you have been good today about staying with me." She mumbled, taking a step in the direction of the Cennabon.

The boy needed no second bidding, and quickly hopped along with her happily. The scent was so tempting as they got closer, and he couldn't help, but fidget behind the person in line who was being slow about their order. His mother had managed to get it through to him to be polite, so he dare not say anything. Still he wanted his cinnamon bun now, not later. And after what seemed an eternity to him, the person moved, and he stepped up to the counter, peering over it with his hands on the edge.

"What can I get you?" Came the fake cheery voice from behind the counter, giving the pair a slightly odd stare. Neither seemed to notice though.

"I want whatever smells so good!"

"He wants a cinnamon bun." Raja added, helping the cashier. And releasing the boys hand a moment to fish out her purse, and pay for the item.

It took only a short time before the boy took a rather large bite out of the roll, leaving a few traces of the icing along his mouth. Raja directed him to the bench, and waited for him to sit down before setting the bag next to him.

"Stay right here, alright?" She called, eyeing the boy. He'd likely be distracted by the bun, and not go anywhere. Treats usually worked like that. "I'm going to go just over there, and get a coffee. So wait here." She pointed at the Starbacks, and waited until the boy followed her finger before patting his head lightly, and starting off.

And Raja's prediction worked for... about a minute. Just long enough that the older woman was lost in the line outside of Starbacks. That place was always too busy. The boy's blue eyes glanced up after a moment, spotting a display they hadn't seen before, and as if possessed he stood up, and started for it.

Well there went his good behavior for the day.

Oh, the sights and sounds and smells that accosted Stella's senses! She had never been to the mall before and was looking at everything--people and things and fake foliage--with eyes made wide with curiosity and more than a little avarice. She had found herself torn, since she and Daisy had entered the mall, between running off giggling with glee over all of these shiny new THINGS and hiding behind Daisy because there were big people EVERYWHERE and someone was bound to step on her, being as little as she was. These desires were so equal that she found herself doing both at once, darting forward a few feet before scurrying back to Daisy, always taking the outstretched hand the happy hippy offered her. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Daisy didn't much want to be at the mall; she didn't really like them, having been taught that capitalism = bad, but oh, it was so nice to see so many people coexisting for a common goal, even if that goal was to shop till one dropped. She had been wary, at first, bringing her insatiably curious ward to such a crowded place--it would be so very easy to lose her, after all--but this trip was neccessary: there was supposed to be a home and garden show taking place, and Daisy did so love her flowers.

It was as they were on the escalator that Stella's inherent trait took effect--the little panther was notoriously unlucky, and while she never seemed to suffer from it, people around her did. Like Daisy, all the time. Case in point; as Daisy went to step off the escalator, she found herself unable to due to the infernal machine eating one of her flip-flops. "Uh oh," she murmured worriedly, stepping out of the flimsy sandal and yanking at it, almost not feeling Stella let go of her hand. "Stel, wait!" she called, torn between rescuing her sandal and making sure Stella stayed within sight.

Stella had taken that opportunity to venture into the crowd of people once more, a shadow in obnoxiously-colorful clothing. She bobbed and ducked around people, ignoring the accidents she left in her wake caused by people trying to avoid stepping on her--it seemed she had nothing to fear after all. She paused in a break in the crowd, looking around with almost manically-glazed eyes, deciding what to explore first--hey, what was that? She darted towards a window displaying all sorts of bright flashing lights and gadgets, more running into it than stopping. Not to be put off, Stella merely shook her head and pressed her nose to the glass, almost not noticing the older boy in the reflection.

Almost.

She gasped and squealed at Keanu's reflection, making grabby hands at it--he looked so soft!--before a familiar voice sounded behind her.

"Stel, I TOLD you not to run off," Daisy pseudo-whined. The panther turned to look, only to see the creature of her curiosity heading for the very window she was standing at! Patience was obviously not a word in Stella's vocabulary, as was proven when she broke away from both the window and her guardian and dashed towards the snow leopard.

"FUZZYFUZZY!" she called out, leaping towards the boy with clenching fingers.

Behind her, Daisy winced.

((Keanu has never been called that. I reccomend the tail though, he's sposed to have a particularly fluffy tail.))

Wow... He'd never seen light to that. Inside the window was one of those orbs, that made your hair stand up, but if you touched it the light ran to your fingers in squiggling strings. Oh how he wanted to touch it, to learn how it worked. But beyond that, even more interesting where some pieces of glass, illuminated with lights at the bottom so the carvings in the center showed the light in an array of colors. These particular ones where in the shape of unicorns, dragons, pheonix, all the popular creatures that everyone knew didn't exist. Accept for Keanu, who knew they did. Because they did, most certainly.

As he drew nearer to the glass to look, the shape he'd failed to notice near the glass partially due to the fact it wasn't shiny, or the least bit colorful. Rather just a dark shadow, with a few bright colors for clothes. Ok, blame it on the fact he had a one way attention span, and could only focus on a single thing at a time. It didn't change the fact the creature had whirled around, and spotted him, and was now yelling something rather loud. Something he wouldn't have applied to himself had the girl not been launching in his direction.

Ears shot up in dismay as he faltered in the step he was taking, eyes going wide in shock. "Huh? Fuzzy?" Of course that wasn't enough to keep the girl at bay, seeing as how he was still in the spot she'd been moving for.

You know, perhaps it was a good thing he had put on a long shirt, and jeans that day. It left less to pull around his arms, but he'd never once worn anything on his tail, or face. There wasn't a point was there? Raja had once babbled about sunglasses to him, but that seemed so useless, the sun was never that bright, right?

A better question might have been why he was thinking about such things when there was a girl who seemed to have mistaken him for an oversized plush toy was coming at him. He had a cinnamon bun to save from ending up on the ground. He quickly lifted his hand in the air, with every intention of keeping the thing as far from the ground as possible, while attempting to brace himself for impact. Not that he really knew how, he'd never had someone, or something try to tackle him like this.

Ooooo, the boy looked just like a kitty toy she had at home! Except he was wearing clothes, but that was just fine--she decided as much when she saw the big long fluffy TAIL! Her toy didn't have that! She had a tail, but it wasn't floofy like that! And really, what fun was it to play with your own tail? So of course her attention--and her fingers--latched onto that. She hugged the tail to herself, giggling and squeaking and rubbing her face against the soft fur.

Daisy flop-flop-flop-flopped up to the pair, smiling wanly. "Sorry about that!" she chirped, scratching the back of her head, somewhat chagrined. "Stella's kinda touchy-feely. Stel, let go of the kitty's tail, okay?" she asked.

"Onononono fuzzyfuzzy mine," she babble-purred happily, oblivious to her caretaker's distress.

And... SAVED! The girl had latched onto his tail, which was just fine. It wasn't as if she was yanking it off. More importantly, his cinnamon bun was dirt free. Huzzah! He took a bite of the bun, somewhat ignoring the girl who was fussing over his tail at the moment. Though the fact she squeaked from time to time was interesting, he hadn't known cats to squeak. Wasn't that what mice did? He gave his tail a slight tug, finding it rather stuck, and dismissing it then. Just as long as she didn't tug on it too hard it was fine. There wasn't much to it aside from fluff, and fur.

Eyes turned to the woman as she came up, her shoes making a rather curious noise. The seven year old peered up at the woman seemed to force a smile, while appologizing. Hmm, curious. Humans didn't usually do that. "I'm not a kitty, I'm a snow leopard..." He replied, before shrugging, and taking another bite of his treat, then listening to the girls reply. He swallowed the chunk more quickly, glancing at the dark furred feline. "Nuh uh, it's my tail. It's attached to me so it's mine." He replied, shaking his head, though not trying to get it loose. It wasn't a big problem for him really. It was just... New. But it could wait until he finished with his snack. Or had to escape the wrath of Raja. Whichever came first.

Turning back to the adult he spoke again. "By the way... What do you mean by touchy-feely?" No one around his house had that habit, so he didn't exactly know what putting the two words together meant. Certainly the others actions gave him an idea, but he was just making sure. Misunderstanding things was bad.

Once more turning to the dark furred girl, he spoke again. "Stell, right? Just don't pull on it, or you have to let go. And if my mum comes you gotta let go, cause-" He stopped there, realizing that there was in fact an adult around. Adults tended to have similar rules. Best to hush up before he got himself in trouble. Time to stuff another bite in his mouth so he couldn't imcriminate himself more. Mmm... These things where excellent.

"Adult" might have been giving Daisy too much credit--adults knew all about responsibility and propriety, whereas Daisy just tended to go with the flow. As long as no one got hurt, it was all good in her eyes. That was exactly why she wasn't over there scolding Stella the way she had seen several other parents in the mall do to their kids. "Oh, sorry. You're both kitties to me!" she chirped, very much the kind of person to bunch every member of a similar species under one label. Wolves and hyenas and dingos were "puppies," just like Stella and her new little friend were "kitties."

"Nononono iss mine," Stella protested rapidly, hugging the tail tighter. Such logic as physical attachment equaling possession was far beyond her infantile mind. "Issa mine anananan'--hey, whassat?" she asked, letting go of the tail with one hand to point at the funny-looking thing tail-boy was stuffing in his mouth.

Daisy nearly giggled at Stella's immediate jump from one object of interest to the next. "Touchy-feely is...well, like Stella likes to touch things. Everything. People, and things, and animals--everything!"

((Oh how the tables have turned slightly... The Monster thing is similar to calling him a kitty. In his mind.))

He glanced at the woman as she spoke again, flicking an ear. But he wasn't a kitty... He was a snow leopard. His mum was a kitty. But he wasn't. Oh well, he wasn't going to argue about it further. Seeing as how it would be rude to continue to babble about it,a nd try to get her to say anymore more. She had appologized, and sort of explained her reasoning behind it right? And it wasn't like he knew what The other girl was, beyond that she was another cat of sorts. She didn't look like Sahra, Raja, or him. So he figured she was something else. As to what, who knew.

"No no. It is my tail. It's stuck to me. So it must be mine." He replied, shaking his head, his tone as matter of factly as was possible. Though it likely didn't hold much authority to it as he had a fair bit of white sugar in the form of icing around his mouth. He snagged another bite of the bun just as the girl took notice of it, and partially released his tail to ask about. Oh no, she might get his tail, but not his sugar. It was HIS, and that was that. Quickly gulping down the mouthful he had, he shook his head. "This is mine, my cinnamon bun." He declared, holding it up a bit higher to accentuate the fact he wasn't going to give that out. He rarely got these as it was, maybe a cookie he'd share. But not such a fresh, gooey warm delight as this. "You can get one over at the place with the big signs." He added, hoping that might deter the girl from his own. He didn't want her going touchy-feely on his snack. Then he might not be able to eat it.

He nodded at the woman as she spoke again. "Oooh... Well she can't do that to my snack. Mum says not to eat things that other people touch or that fall on the floor. Because I dunno where the people have been, and what's been on the floor." It was fairly sound advice. One of the few things he follows.

What? Clearly this boy was mistaken--she was holding the tail, so it was hers! Right? She frowned, looking from the boy to Daisy. "DeeDeeDee, iss my tail? Righ'?"

Daisy mentally sweatdropped; how was she going to get out of this one without upsetting someone? "Well..." she started, vacant mind whirling for an answer. "...no," she finished, obviously failing to find one. At Stella's deepening frown, she elaborated. "You've got your OWN tail that's attached to you. This is this boy's. See?"

"But FUZZY!" Stella protested with a whine.

"Um...maybe when you grow up your tail will be fuzzy like this boy's?" Daisy tried hopefully.

It seemed to work, as Stella made an appeased noise--still grasping the tail, but now without the intent of taking it home with her. Her attention wandered to the funny-looking thing the boy kept putting in his mouth. "Cimmabum?" she asked, turning around to look for this sign the boy mentioned. Stella couldn't see it over the heads of all the people and turned back around. "Y'crazy," she said; clearly, Keanu was delusional.

No... It was his tail. He couldn't just pull it off, and give it away. Not that he would of, obviously sharing wasn't the boys best feature. What with his possessiveness over something as silly as a cinnamon bun. But the point was, the tail was just not going anywhere. Though thankfully there was some aid from the heavens, or better yet an adult. It didn't mean the grip loosened, but that he'd get to... Keep his tail? As if there had been any question of that to begin with. How would she have kept it? Drag him home?

Well considering that wrath he might have to face from Raja later... That actually didn't sound so bad. Maybe he should have rethought the going off to look at the things a bit more, and stayed on the bench. He'd have kept his tail, and not be in trouble. He could already mentally hear the womans voice trembling with annoyance. She wouldn't be yelling while she hunted for him, she'd learned that much, and so had he. He heard her yelling, he knew just where not to go. It was both good, and bad. Less embarrassing, not that he really noticed that, but less of a warning. Making it easier to catch him. And that meant facing his Mum's anger.

Yes, going with the clingy young girl, and the... Other adult didn't sound so bad. He'd eventually get home. Wait... If he was gone longer she'd get more upset. This was a double edged blade, wasn't it? And some voice of reason in his mind stated that he already knew that. Ok, maybe the girl was right, he was perhaps a little crazy. But not that much. Besides this was coming from a girl who had attached herself to his tail proclaiming it fuzzy, and then refusing to detach, and wanting to drag it, and him home with her. It wasn't that reliable a source, was it?

"I'm not crazy." He replied, frowning. "Cinnamonbuns are real, or else I wouldn't have one now, right?" He added, trying to reason. It made enough sense. Something had to exist for you to have it. It was undeniable proof. He nipped another piece of the bun chewing it happily. These things where actually really good. "I'll show you!" He suddenly thought in a brilliant moment, turning, and walking along toward where he knew it had to be. It's where he'd come from. Wether the girl continued to cling to his tail, or not didn't matter so much. At least not unless she refused to budge, then... He'd have to stop. For fear of tail being pulled. That wouldn't be pleasant. He flinched recalling the last time it had gotten caught in a door. He hadn't those automatic doors.

A sharp tooth peeked out to rest on Stella's bottom lip as she thought about fuzzy-tail-boy's question. "No!" she decided--clearly, such advanced logic was beyond her. "Oooo, yeah, show!" Stella squealed, eagerly following the boy, holding onto his tail like a lifeline. "C'mon Deedee!" she called over a shoulder. Daisy quailed for a moment--they hadn't come to the mall for cinnamon buns, and they were so unhealthy...but so yummy, and really, what was the harm?--before obediently following the pair with an indulgent smile.

It was obvious when Stella saw the shop's brightly-lit sign by the happy shriek she gave. "Isso big!" she said in an awed voice, eyes wide with childish wonder. "Deedee, want that one!" she said, pointing up at it.

Wait... No? But... That made no sense. Well... Not much to be done about it, but prove his statement to be true. He walked along in the direction he had earlier come, thankful the girl was coming along as well. She'd even called for her keeper. Which meant she was definitely not yanking hs tail for now.

It didn't take too long for the large sign to show over the crowd, even for the shorter girl to see. But obviously she didn't realize quite what it was. "That's not one of them." He replied, shaking his head. "You don't want that one, you want the real one. That ones just pictures, the real ones smell good, and taste good." He replied, holding up what was left of his own as if to prove it. "That one up there... It's a fake, to make you see how good they can look!" Though eh wouldn't mind getting one that size either, the problem was they just didn't seem to come that big.

"Keanu..." Came an annoyed voice, as the orange eared female stood, eyeing the boy with darts in her eyes. "Why did you get up from the bench?" Obviously she was too annoyed to spot the second feline attached to his tail.

The boy's ears fell, and he glanced in the direction his name had come from. His fears confirmed. Oh... Dear. "There was a neat display with lights..." He mumbled, quite regretting returning to this area so soon.

"But I told you to wait there! I was just getting a..." She stopped, having spotted the black furred feline. "Why is she clinging to your tail?"
