A big yawn escaped U’no’le’s maw. He wasn’t tired, just bored. He was waiting for Enzi to return with the local scoop, and while waiting what better way to just get in a cat nap. The sun was shining, the crickets chirping, and the birds swooping.
Just before the large yellow lion closed his eyes, one of the birds decided to swooped close to his head.
“Don’t go to sleep,” it voiced, colliding with the lion’s mane.
“Whyyy? Find something to do?” The lion asked.
“mhmm! There’s like a pit, over that way,” the blue bird shifted his wings, pointing to the west. “Never seen it before, could be cool.” The pride migrating meant exploring a lot of new territories. “It beats sleeping all day,” Enzi huffed, ruffling his feathers.
“so comeon” the bird familiar pecked at the larger lion’s ear, insisting he get moving.
U’no’le grumbled. “Alright. Alright.”
