Molly only had a week with this mini-pet carrier, and she was determined to make good use of it. She had 99 Canon Cats to take for walkies. She had actually taken the time to break down her week and schedule out when to take each Canon Cat for a stroll outside around the island in-between her duties, non-Hunter duties (like laundry for some boys…), eating and sleeping. She was pleased as punch, actually, and was currently taking Canon Cat number 37, Snuffles, out for a walk in the mini-pet carrier.

“It’s a nice day!” She informed the Canon Cat cheerfully, who wanted nothing more than to not be in that cage, but Molly mistook it for excitement at finally being out of that room for the first time in its life. Molly ended up pausing though, as she came across someone unfamiliar in her path. She blinked. Oh…! This seemed like someone new!

“Hello!” She called out. “How are you today?”

“Are you…?” Molly asked, blinking uncertainly before Tobias got her completely derailed about starting to worry when he inquired about her pet carrier. Molly’s face instantly lit up as she beamed at him.

“Mhm! It’s a pet carrier, and inside is a Canon Cat!” She lifted up the carrier to make it more eye level for Tobias, showing the Cat who looked out of his mind in the carrier…and looking like it had to sneeze. “His name is Snuffles!” The Canon Cat sneezed a few times, showing how it got its name, and Molly was still beaming. “Bless you!” She called to the Canon Cat, and then looked back at the trainee.

“My name is Molly, and I'm a Mist Intermediate! It’s nice to meet you…” She smiled, and waited to get his name.

Molly blinked. “Oh, goodness! Are you alright?” Luckily, this time, she was asking Tobias, and not the Canon Cat, though she did take a peek in the cage just to make sure he was alright after sneezing. “Oh, yes! Only because I can borrow this carrier for the week!” She then beamed. “Oh, it’s so nice to meet you, Tobias!” Molly then practically lit up when he said he was new. Oh, new! Like….like…

“Oh, yes!” She giggled. “I think calling them scythes are alright! That’s what they are, after all!” The trainee didn’t mind he was hopping around, really, and just kept on smiling as she waited for him to pause, though she looked startled when he called her ‘miss’. “Oh, no, no, really, no miss! Just Molly is perfectly fine, and it’s okay, really! You can get the mini-pet carriers in the hallway between the Life Labs and the training field! Um…do you know where that is?”

“Oh!” Molly looked surprised, before she smiled. “What minis do you work with and help clean?” She asked genuinely interested. She was always rather curious about who worked with what minis…since there were quite a few of them! “Oh, um…you have to answer a question about mini-pets…and then you can get a carrier! If you want one for longer though…um…I think you have to take an exam…” Molly tapped her fingers on her chin thoughtfully before nodding her head.

“Yes, I’m pretty sure! Um…are you going to go get one?”

Molly beamed at Tobias’ enthusiasm, but as he spoke more, she blinked, and then looked at a loss. Mini-pets….were for study only, so that’s why he couldn’t play with any? Huh…She seemed rather confused by this. “Well…just hang in there!” She chirped. “Also, ask around…maybe some of the other hunters who do work with mini-pets wouldn’t mind letting you in!” There were some nice hunters like that…she knew she wasn’t the only one who played with mini-pets.

“Oh, yes!” Her smile widened. “He can and he does! In the Canon Cat room they fly all the time and all over the place!” Here, Molly paused, before she seemed to have an idea. “Oh! I can take you to it, if you want!” She suddenly got very excited. “You can play with the other ninety-eight Canon Cats too and see them in action!”

"Yes, I think so!" Molly echoed cheerfully, completely snowed that the island was filled with kind and generous and helpful hunters who would share their petting and walkie times with mini-pets with Tobias. At his musing, Molly tilted her head and thought about it for the first time she had woken up too. Huh.

"Oh, yes! He can!" She beamed brightly, and then nodded her head vigorously, curls bouncing this way and that. "Snuffles makes ninety-nine, and once, back when I first woke up, there had been one hundred but..." It was here Molly's expression immediately fell, her lips wibbling. "But it escaped from its room and..." She teared up, and immediately brought a hand up to her mouth. "You know what happens to the poor mini-pets that are outside their cages for too long...bless their hearts."

“…Oooooh.” Molly gasped, and covered her mouth with a hand again. She then looked around, as if she was making sure the coast was clear, and then scooted in closer to the young man. She leaned to whisper. “If a mini-pet is outside its cage for too long…it will melt.” Molly leaned away and sighed sadly, cupping her cheek now. That's what she heard. It wasn't like she'd seen it happen or anything. “It's so sad...”

She then smiled, and held up the caged Canon Cat once more. “That’s why I’m so happy that we have these carriers!”
