Personality: Like her older sister, Ashlyn, Demanthra is a gentle soul that does not like to see others in pain. However, she did not go into healing, she decided to be a Harper instead. She has a love of music and she knows that is can bring a smile to the faces of others. She is so in love with music, that sometimes she can be oblivious of those around her when she really gets into a song or performance. Sometimes it takes someone to poke her or just wait for her to finish for her to snap back to reality.

Demanthra usually has a smile on her face, trying to always be happy. Unfortunately, that also means that a lot of the time she tries to hide her pain and act like everything is alright. She doesn't want anyone to be sad, so she tries not to be so herself. Sometimes she holds it in so long that the pain comes out in the most inappropriate times and places. Those close to her know when she is in pain and will know how to get her to deal with it, before it comes out at the wrong time.

She has a fondness of cute things and has quite a collection of stuffed toys. Also unlike her sister, she is more outgoing and if it helps someone, she will run out to help another. She does not worry about getting hurt herself, she just wants to protect others. She is pretty good at making friends and she becomes somewhat of a mother hen. She always wants to make sure everyone is okay and taken care of. She usually puts the needs of others above her own, sometimes at the detriment of her own health. She doesn't care though, she cares too much about others. Which could also mean that if someone hurt her, it would hurt her a lot.
Physical Description: Demanthra stands about 5'3 and is about 135 lbs. She has blue-green eyes that always seems to have a twinkle to them and dark brown hair, with some sandy brown streaks running through. Since she is the second oldest daughter, she usually wears the hand me downs from Ashlyn, but sometimes she does get new dresses that her mom buys specifically for her.
History: Like Ashlyn, Demanthra was born to a pair of dragon riders. She knows that she is lucky that her parents found a way to keep all of them. When one of their parents were busy, the other would take care of the children. If both of them needed to be called away, then they were left with family and friends. Since she was not the eldest, she had more time to go out and spend time with her friends.

Like her elder sister, Demanthra wanted so much to have a dragon of her own. As soon as she was old enough, she stood for the first time. When she did not impress to a dragon, she was hurt, but she hid it with a smile and only her family and friends knew how much it hurt her. So she threw herself into her singing and musical talents, to keep from dwelling on the pain of not impressing. She went to some of the best harpers in the Weyr, to learn all she could about the craft. She had decided to be a Harper instead of a healer because many people told her she really had a beautiful talent when it came to music. That and she loved it so much, she decided it would make her happy to be a harper. That and unlike her sister who only sang in private, she loved performing in front of others. It brought a sense of peace to her. Every chance she gets, she stands during a hatching, believing she will finally get one of her own.

When Ashlyn got her own dragon, Demanthra began helping more at home, to take off some of the pressure from her sister. She knew her big sister needed to actually have time to train with her dragon and she didn't want her having to worry about all of her siblings. So she started to split her time between her craft and helping at home. She doesn't mind, she just wants everyone to be happy and to reach their full potential.
