Personality: Like her twin brother, Daimon, Astriana is very protective of others, at least her family and those she has deemed worthy of her loyalty. She can be very cutting with her words, saying such things as "You are such a dimglow, don't you know what you are doing?" or "I could do better than you in my sleep." This is only for those she is not close to, however. The way she insults others, it is very hard for people to get close to her. Of course, this is all part of her plan, she has a wall she has built up to protect herself and she wants people to work for her trust. She doesn't want to let someone in and then for them to hurt her, she would hold that pain internally for a long while. It takes a lot for people outside of her brothers and uncle to gain her trust.
She is very cold and only lets down her guard and shows emotions when it is someone she is close to. Those who know her and have been able to gain her trust, they can tell in her eyes what she is feeling when they are around people she is not close to, even if it is just a slight hint to those dear to her. When you get past her mental defenses, you will find a very sweet girl that is very loyal. She will do anything she can to stand up for her family and those others who have earned her trust and love. She may not be one who relishes in fighting, would actually prefer to avoid it, but she is pretty good at holding her own if she needs to.
Like her brother has a knack when it comes to healing, she is very gifted when it comes to creatures. She loves being able to interact with beasts of all kinds and training them to do all kinds of things. She seems to bond with beasts a lot easier than she does with most people. She lets her guard down around them almost instantly, not feeling like they need to prove anything to her. She treats the beasts she works with almost like they are family to her.
Like Daimon, when she is in her element, she has a certain confidence about her. She doesn't second guess herself and gets right to work when she has something to do. She has respect for those who are higher rank, not going to say a bad word to someone she feels earned their title.
Physical Description: Astriana is about 5'8 and weighs about 115 lbs. She has whitish-blonde hair that is usually pulled back in a pony-tail or is a head of curls that goes down her back. She has ice blue eyes and if it wasn't for the scowl usually etched on her lips, she would be seen as very pretty. Her clothes are very simple because she doesn't like drawing attention to herself.
History: Astriana was the second of the twins born, though only was younger by a couple of minutes. Her parents did not seem to really want her and her siblings, they always seemed to neglect them. Luckily, they were sent to their uncle, who actually seemed to care about them. Their uncle may have been gruff, but the kids had found him to be quite a teddy bear when it came to them. When it was time to move with him, Astriana was more than willing to do so.
When she and Daimon were eight turns, she was sad when he left to practice his craft. However, she knew it was something he loved, so she supported him and told him they would be fine. Unfortunately, soon after he left, they found out the full extent of Rowan's hearing problem. When she learned her little brother was deaf, it devastated her. She had already figured out she had a gift with the beastcraft, so she threw her attention into training flits to act as guides for those with disabilities. Until she could get them to work properly, she helped her twin train a beastrunner he had found.
When it was determined she could stand as a candidate, she was overjoyed. She really wanted a dragon, believing that it would be just the companion she needed. She was even happier when she found out her twin became a candidate too, it meant they could try to be riders together. She was disappointed when she knew her little brother could not impress, knowing he would have been a great rider.
