Having just finished her nightly patrol, Serpentarius was glad to be on her way back to her dorm room for the evening. With no class due to her professor getting ill, it meant she would be able to sleep in until she had class that afternoon. This put a skip in her step as she leaps over the brick wall heading out of the park. With both hand bracing herself as she lands on one knee, she turns her eyes only for a moment as she thought she felt a aura nearby. This one was a dark mirror senshi, that much she was sure of.
Only it wasn't one she knew, but a new one at that. Standing slowly, she stood out in the open. She didn't move, she just waited to see if they senshi would move on, or some looking for her.
Like most of the Dark Mirror Senshi, she would not fight this one either. She wanted nothing more then to get to know each of them. Maybe it was this strange feeling she had knowing that their leader was once her leader, that made her feel connected to them.
Either way, she felt a kindness towards them..if not a kinship.

Traversing through Destiny City was usually a problem for most people, thanks to the heavy snow that seemed to be plaguing most of the northeast. Buses, taxis and cars were usually snowed in, and Bethany wasn't brave enough to take the subways at this time of night. However, she at least had another way of traveling from point A to point B, and she wasted little time to taking advantage of it, as she took a moment to transform into Sailor Canopus and looked for a mirror to slip in. Just one quick hop, skip and jump and she'd be back at St. Magdelena's Seminary in no time.
It was likely this slow and steady attitude that made her aware that there was an Order energy signature nearby, because had she been in a hurry, she might have slipped through the bathroom mirror and be on her way. And truth be told, she probably should have continued on her way, given that the nearby signature felt stronger than her. If he or she was aggressive, she wouldn't have stood a chance in a fight and escaping through the mirror would have been the best option available. However, if by some rare chance that they were friendly, then perhaps Canopus could sate her growing curiosity of the opposing court. As foolish a notion as it might have been, the Senshi of Longevity simply wanted to know more about them, their rules, their customs and ways... why they were such a threat that some of her own kind wanted to kill them on sight.
So she formulated a plan. If they sought to attack her, she'd flee into the mirror where she couldn't be followed. If they did not strike out against her, then she'd talk... surely no harm could come from talking? The aura had not come any closer, and after a few moments of waiting in silence, Canopus finally poked her head out and ventured towards the source of the aura. Whoever he or she was, if they meant to hurt her, they'd come to her... right?
"I wish you no harm," Canopus said, before ever spotting the other senshi. When she did, she froze in place, like a deer peering at two bright lights that came ever so close. She kept one foot back, ready to turn on her heels and flee if need be, as she addressed the brunette senshi. "Who are you? Are those... snakes on your boots?"

Serpentarius turns her eyes towards the voice, rather pleased that she was right in her guess. Turning on her heels, she only stops when she was asked about the snaked on her boots. Blinking, she glance down at them before she laughs "As a matter of fact, yes those are indeed snakes." she looks back up as she smiles to the dark mirror senshi "I don't mean you harm, I'm Serpentarius." she lefts out the fact she was the senshi of snakes.
Though, she figured by now the other senshi would have guessed her power.
"I know a few of your other comrades, so you don't need to fear me. I won't hurt you." she spoke truth as she crossed her arms under her chest. She took a couple steps towards her as she looks over the other girl "So your either new, or I just never crossed paths with you before."

Canopus knew that there was some clinically diagnosed phobia in regards to snakes and it was a common fear among most people, and with a very good reason. They were long, powerful and stealthy, able to disguise itself within the environment and strike when it was least expected. They were unfamiliar creatures, lacking in the appendages that all other animals seemed to have, and many folklore attributed many terrifying things to these creatures. Satan himself had used a serpent to cause the fall of Man, and while Canopus was certain that it was all an elaborate story of morals and faith, she could not help but feel weary, as pathetic as it may have appeared to the other.
Yet, she seemed kind enough and her smile did ease some of her fears, but what really helped put her mind at ease was how she claimed to have met many of her comrades. If they did not fear her, then perhaps she truly had nothing to fear, but still, Canopus was going to approach this with some amount of caution. After all, her sphere was based on an animal of deceit and she was part of the White Moon Court... one had to be cautious in their approach.
"Nice to meet you, Serpentarius..." Canopus said softly, keeping to herself but at least not looking ready to run anymore. "I'm Canopus, Senshi of Longevity. And I am new... I was awakened during a really bad storm in December. Um, may I ask you why you know a lot of my comrades? Are you friends with them, by any chance?"

Serpentarius was glad when the Canopus actually move towards her and spoke "Its a pleasure to meet you Canopus, and yes some of your comrades are my friends. Remarque for one, I count him as a friend. Your leader, Ares, she was once my leader. So I see it as we a friends, just one different side of this war." she glance around for a moment before she turns green eyes back towards the other girl.
"Would you like to patrol with me? I was actually ready to head back to my dorm, but seeing as your new, I am willing to answer any questions you might have." she didn't know how the Dark Mirror Court worked, but she was willing to help if she honestly needed it.

Canopus' violet eyes went wide at this news, and there was nothing she could do to hide her surprise at such a statement. Serpentarius was friends with Remarque and had met Queen Ares? She couldn't help but express her admiration of this feat, maybe sounding too much like a child asking a grandparent to tell her about the 'good ol' days' but unable to hold back her excitement now. "Oh no, the pleasure's all mine! I hadn't realized you were once Ares' comrade! Forgive me, I may have a million questions lined up but I will try not to bombard you all at once..."
The offer to go patrolling together wasn't lost on Canopus, and despite their different attires and feel of their auras, Canopus would not object to such a notion. She was warned not to go patrolling on her own anyway, and any old friend of her beloved Queen was a friend of hers. Of course, she held some suspicions but they were natural suspicions, ones that could be easily contained but just as easily exercised if the occasion arose. At least, that's what Canopus told herself, anyway. Right now, she was far too excited to have the chance to speak with Serpentarius...
"I'd like that, if you don't mind. As for questions, I'm definitely still new and I think I have some things figured out already, but... you know of a time long, long before my own and maybe even others I know. How long ago were you under Ares leadership, and why haven't you stayed with her? Was it her decision, or your own?"

Serpentarius moves along side Canopus, just to ease the girl worry that she wasn't safe with her. In fact, she was very much safe with her. Placing her hands behind her back, she links her fingers as she chuckles at the questions thrown at her. It was nice for one being asked, instead of her asking all the questions "I was under her leadership for awhile, as she was my leader when the Blood Moon Court was around. Most of the senshi on this side didn't trust us. Refused to honestly work with many of us, but we were a family." she paused as she thought about it "I didn't join her because I wasn't around when it happened. I lost someone dear to me and ended up leaving Destiny City for awhile to return home." she shift gives Canopus a weak smile.
"I won't lie, I miss having Ares as my leader. She is an amazing one at that, and I hope she doing well." she glance around only for a moment to see if she sense anyone around. Her green eyes just searching into the dark corners "So what about this war do you know? I might be able to fill you in just a little."

"Blood Moon Court?" Canopus wanted to be polite and wait her turn, but she couldn't stop herself from blurting out such a name. It sounded dark, foreboding, something that seemed like a faction of the Negaverse as opposed to the White Moon Court. She knew that Ares once worked within the enemy ranks, but she knew relatively little about how things transpired and how things came to be outside of what Prince Remarque had told her. Serpentarius simply took her by surprise and she didn't care too much for surprises. "I was unaware that's what her previous court was called. Why do you think the others didn't trust her or her court? What did they do differently that the others didn't like?"
She felt sympathy growing in her guts for the senshi. To be left behind was already bad enough, but to have lost someone close to her? She bit her bottom lip, knowing that it may have been too personal of a question and therefore she refrained from asking it. It was none of her business who she had lost, or even how, only that it had affected her so much that she could not remain in the city for a time. It must have been hard and Canopus's bleeding heart wept for her, but she admired her courage to return. [
"I'm told she is wonderful. She's away for the moment, though... I haven't met her yet, but I'm sure whatever she's doing is for the benefit of her court." Canopus wished she could have given Serpentarius a better answer than that in regards to Ares' whereabouts. There wasn't a single shred of doubt in her mind that Ares was doing something important elsewhere and so she never thought to question either Remarque or Leto. They were left in charge for a reason, and for Canopus, that was good enough for now. As for Serpentarius' next question, it was a shamefully easy one to answer. "I don't know much, only that the White Moon Court are a lost cause and it's our duty to save as many as we can from their own demise. Knights are of no concern to us, and we're no longer really allies with the Negaverse. I'm not sure what happened, or when this happened. I'm sorry."

Serpentarius thought over how to explain the questions thrown at her for a moment. Part of her knew this was someone she could see as a friend, yet it was still very hard to talk about the Blood Moon Court because of the rules that were embedded into her. After a moment, she nods before she smiles "Let just say...the Blood Moon Court..we um...got things done...no matter the cost. I can't really go into detail, but it was...a big reason why those on this side didn't trust anyone of the Blood Moon Court." she didn't say much more on the matter, as she didn't want to give too much away.
The last statement caught her off guard, which was plain on her face. She couldn't help but wonder what happen to cause the Negaverse to pull away from the Dark Mirror Senshi. They seem to be working fairly well the last she heard. She gives Canopus a small smile before she nods "I'm sure Ares will return, she wouldn't leave you guy. And you are in great hands with Leto and Remarque helping run your court." she skips ahead only to glance around again for any signs of others.
Turning, she walks backwards so she can face the senshi before her "So is there anything else you would like to know? I am not sure how much I can tell you, but I can try."

”No matter the cost?” Canopus found herself parroting the phrase, as though it was a foreign term that she had never used before. No, she definitely heard it before and knew what it had meant, but she didn’t want to think about the origin of her court being shrouded with violence and bloodshed. Wasn’t that going against their morals now, or perhaps she had misunderstood the moral standing of her own court? It was possible… but she couldn’t imagine Prince Remarque ever lying to her, and that was enough to quell her fears. “Well, I suppose when diplomacy is out of the question, you must do whatever you can to ensure a quick and immediate end to the war. I just hope there wasn’t too much suffering…”
She didn’t really need reassurance that Ares would return. Like the sun rising in the east, Ares would surely return, Canopus told herself, but she appreciated the sentiment nevertheless. “I know she will,” she said, waiting for Serpentarius to give her the all clear before continuing after her. “I’m sure whatever she’s doing deep within the Mirror verse is direly important and needs her attention. She’ll return someday, and all will be well.”
She appreciated Serpentarius’ offer, but she shook her head softly after only a moment of consideration. “You’ve already helped me enough, Serpentarius. Though, I suppose I could ask… why do you stay with the White Moon? Wouldn’t you rather be with Ares? What is it that keeps you on the other side when you’re not happy there?”
She wouldn’t pressure her to join, especially not tonight, but she simply wanted to know what it was about the White Moon Court that was so great, that others would turn down such an offer. What was it about the White Moon Court that they felt they could not leave? Even when she was within arm’s reach of a mirror, she lingered, because she had to know.

Serpentarius didn't want to scared the other girl, so she just nods at her mimicked question. She didn't want it to seem like a bad thing to be apart of the Dark Mirror Court, as to her she honestly liked them alot "It was...something that needed to be done. Good or bad, we gather alot of well needed information." she left it at that as she nods to let Canopus know it was all clear for her to move on.
"Knowing Ares, she trying to learn more to help her court. Even on our side, her court was her family." it was one of the biggest reason she missed it. At the question, she stopped before she chews on her lip "I made a promsie to some one long ago, that I would be the hero he alway knew I was, before he passed away. It why I have dealt for so long."
She spoke nothing more for a moment "I do miss Ares, no lie. Having her as my leader, was the best." she didn't answer anything else, because she didn't know how to at this moment.
She was on the fence on what she wanted to do with herself.
Glancing around for a moment, she chuckles before she looks to Canopus "You should know, should you need help. Your more then welcome to find me. We maybe on different side, but I don't see anyone from the dark mirror court as an enemy." she was realizing this more and more with each one she met.

"Well... I guess I have no right to judge, if you feel it was worth it in the end."
Except she felt that she did. The term 'ends justify the means' was present in her mind at the moment, but perhaps she was just too soft for her own good. There were some things that went against all morals, but at the same time, what right did she have to judge another's actions? It was a different time back then, so maybe those methods, whatever they may be, were necessary? Canopus didn't know, so for now, she was willing to let it go. What done was done, she told herself, and she hoped none of this would have came back to haunt her in the future. She followed after Serpentarius when she gave the all clear, hearing out the White Moon senshi and feeling sympathy swelling within her. "I'm sorry, for your loss... I'm sure you're doing him proud, though, whatever you may do, so long as your intentions are pure. Should it matter what side you're on, so long as you do good?"
She'd wish Serpentarius would have rejoined her sisters and brothers in the Dark Mirror Court, but Canopus knew she wasn't the one to tell her that. It was a decision that she'd have to make for herself, and Canopus would respect it. She merely hoped that she wouldn't be forced to come to blows with her, whatever her decision may be. Even if she kept to her promise and remained on the other side, it was clear that they would never truly be enemies, and that was enough for Canopus. She flashed her a kind smile, bowing her head before moving towards the mirror. "I'm glad that you're a friend, then... I hope to see you again sometime. If you ever need help from us, please, don't hesitate to call. And if you ever decide to join us, I'm sure you'll be welcomed with open arms. I'm sure Ares would want to have her family whole again..."
