I'm looking for someone to roleplay with on a 1 x 1. Since I'm really knew to this, I'd like to start off with something not too complicated. But I'd like to challenge myself roleplaying, too. I have a few ideas in mind. These include: - Two asylum inmates attempt to escape/take over the institute/be crazy together
- Investigation in which a detective must find a missing body of a serial killer. Serial killer is that missing body. They interact romantically(?)
- Nurse falls in love with a dying patient
- Classic & Sappy Fallen Angel & Exiled Demon.
Finally, - Any other ideas?

I find myself interested in the first and second ideas. Not sure what person you had in mind that you'd prefer to be on the second one, but I could enjoy acting as a missing serial killer. Are they rough ideas, or do you have a broader storyline behind them? (doesn't matter to me, just curiosity).

The first one i've barely thought out, while i've been thinking about the second one for ages now. And also, question out of curiosity for you: Do you picture these Roleplays, any of them, using anime characters, or real life people? I understand that is a preference in certain people. Idea #1 One of them was a previous meth addict. Thankfully no meth teeth, but scabs all over their body. Suffering from a case of severe Schizophrenia, they(male/female) ended up in the asylum because one of the entities had told them to gouge a librarian's eyes out. Personality choice is completely up to the roleplayer. As for the other person, they suffer from Autophagia. They enjoy...eating themselves. Bite marks all over their arms and legs. Absolutely no fingernails or tonenails. Missing pinky toes. Tongue partly bitten off. Talks with a slight lisp. Schizophrenic person thinks it's cute/attractive. They meet in the food court, and swap medicines for funsies. This leads to dreams and hallucinations of each other. Good/Bad. These, depending, cause their relationship to suffer or flourish. I would like them to escape together, though. That's all i've thought of so far for the first one. The second one...That's much, much more detailed. I have it down to a 'T' and will update you on it momentarily after i hear your opinion on the current.

Unfortunately (and I say this because it is a very interesting and specific character portrayal) I would not be able to participate in the first idea. I'm not too keen on making/using characters with drug problems or addictions as main characters because I can't keep it going well. The second one with Autophagia is new to me, but I can't touch that. I feel bad that I have to say it, but I'd rather not start an RP that I know I can't participate in or keep going. Wouldn't be fair to my partner. Guess I'm pretty picky still.

My teachers cringe at some of the papers I write them, I really love graphic nature. Picky is not a problem. It's your writing, it's what you're comfortable with. I'd much rather you start the roleplay and screw me over to be more comfortable with yourself than continue not sure what the hell you're doing. So there's that. I'd be willing to change anything because it's my first time doing something like this, and I want to see what my limits are, but obviously I don't have any yet! But, a-ahem, moving on, so I creep you out less, All are subject to change. Regarding the second idea I have, i've been thinking about so many possibilities with it. I haven't written them down, so the second idea is very much open to brainstorming. But, by gosh, any suggestions you have I'd of probably already considered. I just need something to nail down the ideas, because it's all a possibility at this point.

I just need something to nail down the ideas, because it's all a possibility at this point. I realize I forgot to address the whole anime or realistic thing. I honestly don't care which and leave that up to the discretion of the author. If I make a roleplay and prefer it to be a real picture, and realistic drawing, or anime then I'll say (but I usually don't have a preference). I'd never start a roleplay that I know I can't handle simply because I don't want to get someone excited and engaged only to shut them down. I've been there a number of times, honestly. It doesn't really bother me much but I know it bothers others. I simply take it and restart it. Well since the idea is a detective looking for the body of a serial killer, I assume (hopefully not incorrectly) that the serial killer is presumed deceased and they are looking for the evidence of the deed. Now what the serial killer calls himself or is called by the press (depending on his ego and deception) is probably required as well as his modus operandi and such. (I only use the generic 'he' as a term of ease for explanation since I have no idea who you want to be what character and whatnot.) The detective could be the head of the unit or simply the person who understands the killer most of everyone. They could have even had a brush with them. Who knows? I could definitely come up with something interesting for the serial killer quickly, but the detective might take me a bit. How many victims are there? Are they international? Is he looked for by Interpol? Just some thoughts...

I have considered many names for the serial killer, and one of the problems is that I can't settle on one method of killing only. Or a personality, for that matter. The detective I had in mind was the head of the unit. What I have thought of, or what sticks in my mind, is most definitely a female detective. Again, totally up for change. But I really like the idea of having a social-non-norm of a woman dealing with serious murder cases. When I imagine this detective I think of a woman who has been surviving on coffee and vitamin pills for weeks on end as she tries to catch a killer she's seen several times a week. I imagine multitudes of stress, whether it be for her own child, taxes, family, or just the world being a d**k to her because she's a female detective. Because you've mentioned really liking the part of the serial killer, I'll leave him/her up to you. I don't care about the genders of either. Actual pictures work just fine for me. Are we going for a non-monogamous type thing, or will romance be involved?

Are we going for a non-monogamous type thing, or will romance be involved? Alright, let me hit you with an idea for the serial killer: > A young man who seems overly affectionate of flames and explosives. He will normally use explosives to cover his tracks and escape. His passion for the idea of an "erasing inferno" is evident in his only method of killing. He burns his victims alive and then cremates them manually. He leaves the ashes out for public display in a venue different from where he has killed them. This has been ascertained after countless homicides and investigations. The psychoanalysts have determined him to be a pyromaniac with a religious or "divine" mission. However, the detective knows a bit better than that. The real reason seems unknown since nothing is really known about the man besides his height, gender, and modus operandi. He enjoys watching people suffer through the pain of the flames before they find comfort in death. He reduces them to ashes to show their insignificance in the world; not only in society, but in nature. He wants to erase people from the world, especially those who he deems are significant threats to something (but what it is cannot be said). Some of his victims have been other serial killers and criminals, but some have been innocent citizens. This makes some believe him to think of himself as a vigilante and others to call his victims "arbitrary". The only real pattern that is noticeable in his victims is the manner in which they are killed and placed. They have called him "The Cremator" for obvious reasons. He does not approve of the name, but does not make any attempts to alter it or make his own. His real name is Markus Fitzpatrick. There have been no survivors of his attack, and he always wears a full-black jumpsuit when he targets and kills his victims to conceal his identity. (This gives him the appearance of a ninja- and only the deceased victims- so far to his knowledge- have seen this.) His personality is very detached and stoic. He has a genuine personality disorder with severe emotional detachment. He has never targeted a woman with red hair and green eyes, but that hasn't been a pattern found yet. (Those women are the ones he finds very attractive. >> This can be implemented to whatever you choose your detective to look like, or I can eliminate this. Honestly I'm just writing everything as it pops up into my head.) Ah yes, and I can't forget this: The killer does not use one type of fire or accelerant alone, so that makes him even harder to figure out and pinpoint. Female detective is fine, male serial killer is fine. You said you like romance, so why not add it into the fray? I'll have to find a real picture and whatnot and whip up a full bio, but that's not a problem. Let me know what you think.

Excuse me while is squeal and try to plaster this s**t eating grin off of my face. I'm thinking of all the romance and you've got me squealing like a pig. So, he's a bit of a pyromaniac. Okay. I'll need to find a picture as well. This all seems well and fine to me. I'm no detective so I will do my best about figuring out leads and things like that. I really like these ideas. No use of an accelerant interests me. Because I am trying to think of ways a detective could be lead to this man. Examining those he kills will help, as well as where he places his cremations means he is most likely local. Got that. I'm interested. My Ideas: Now for the woman. She goes by her last name. People address her as "Blake." Her full name is Aberdeen Blake. Again, just Blake. Mention of her first name is surprising to her as she doesn't hear it often. Red hair and green eyes is fine. I really hope I can find a picture of it, though.(It'll probably be Emma Stone goddammit.) Slightly hot tempered. Not quite at anger issues, but will insult. Her nickname around the workplace, "Unwanted Beauty." In reality she's just really, really somber. Almost lost or confused. Distant, very distant. Takes her job very seriously because of an underlying problem I am yet to come up with(probably medical bills). No family but an elderly mother. Untrustworthy. Adopted. She has much experience in the medical field. Proud, but not arrogant. Knows when she's beat. Does not enjoy being played with, because she doesn't like being beat. Sour-sport. Question: Most of the time, burn victims are identified by dental records. If he leaves no trace but ashes...? Does Aberdeen and the rest rely mainly on eye-witness reports?

I suppose I should clarify so that there isn't a misunderstanding. I said he uses multiple types of accelerants (since otherwise he wouldn't be able to turn their bodies to ashes). This makes him hard to pinpoint. He doesn't use Crematoriums. (I can make him not use accelerants, but then I have to think of how he's able to turn their bodies to ash.) I'm liking the character, but I have to ask: Are you referencing the song Aberdeen by Cage the Elephant or Kenny Wayne Shepherd? Or possibly the one by Nirvana that mentions Aberdeen (I believe there is one)? Or is it just the name you chose? I'm curious since I had just listened to Aberdeen by KWS recently. This is true, it does make it difficult for them. However people go missing and ashes are found shortly later. They were tested for composition and were found to match that of the elements in humans. Also, their ashen weight is representative of the weight of the human missing (which took them several months and tests to realize since it is an obscure idea). She can certainly rely on eye-witness reports if there are some who have seen him, but they'll be describing what sounds like a ninja or free-runner because of his jumpsuit.

Yes, I got that he uses multiple accelerants. Sorry. I meant to say "No use of a specific type" Accelerates are fine. It's just another clue to show that the killer know's what he's doing. And because(this is an assumption) he's got his modus operandi just so, with the cremating and the ashes, a screw-up will be quite easy to find. As in, maybe he didn't have time to gather up the ashes, never placed an urn, etc. Kurt Kobain was born in Aberdeen Washington. I have never heard of lyrics related to that in any Nirvana song... I'm not familiar with that artist, and the name is just a name that interests me. Some of the names I also came up with were: Hayden, Tempest, Ripley, Eeeina, Kay, Nick, and finally Camilla. I settled for Aberdeen. Hmm...I see...I'm going to guess dark alleyways are his setting of choice? I'm guessing everyone will be rather happy in the city when the cremator takes a..."rain day." ... lol I made a pun. Okay, yeah, that was horrible but, moving on, shall this take place...where? Also: Have any ideas for connections between Aberdeen & Markus?

Also: Have any ideas for connections between Aberdeen & Markus? All good, I get it. True, it would be easy to spot a mistake in his pattern if it happened. I could have sworn he said it at one point in one of his songs, but perhaps I'm just remembering the wrong artist anyhow. Sometimes I do that, even with Cobain. Fair enough, it is a nice name. Cage the Elephant is pretty much grunge/alternative. Kenny Wayne Shepherd is a brilliantly talented guitar player and does rock/blues. He actually hunts people with certain aspects, but unfortunately we don't know what those aspects are or why. In fact, they don't even know he hunts them. He just seems to abduct them randomly, burn them to ashes, and then put them up for public viewing. Hm. Good question. I feel like a suburban or city area would work best. I suppose where exactly could be at your discretion. Connections? I'm not certain. Perhaps she stumbles onto a fact that the precinct has not and so he targets her until he sees her (then things can get complicated). I'm open to ideas; you'd probably be the best one of us to come up with something like that.

I've listened to a bit of Nirvana and haven't heard it. Or maybe, I just don't remember. There are a lot of songs out there, after all. Yes. Aberdeen has a soft spot in me. I have a soft spot for brilliant guitar players, too. Maybe I'll check him out later. As for the connection...Urgh, so many options. I'm liking your idea but as to what specifically will happen...? It eludes me..:c (this is just my super sappy brain speaking) But I had an idea in which Aberdeen is going out for a walk as it starts snowing, and she sees black ash floating around with snow from a victim. Just a starting idea to get things flowing. I just don't, or well, can't come up with a solid idea when it comes to them meeting. Of course, I have thought of the possibility of him targeting her, she notices someone has been watching her/following her and she brings it up. In a rather vulgar manner, probably.

I see, well I suppose she could find him at night placing the urn of the ashes of his latest victim. Or I suppose she could see him trying to collect the ashes in the snow since he slipped on ice and shattered the urn. That could help. Other than that, the main way black ash in snowfall happens is when a large amount of things are burned to ash and released into the atmosphere (such as during the Holocaust in the furnace facilities). Then the ash is trapped in the clouds in the atmosphere and returned during a cold day as snow. If there's another way, I'm uneducated to it, but would be glad to learn. That could also work, with his personality it may turn out rather funny.

The only problem i see with that is that she is going to want to do her duty as a detective if she sees the criminal at work. And i doubt she'll take nicely to being threatened burning to a crisp.. And for connections to form they have to see each other more than once, which is why the tracking idea is in favor for me right now. As for ashes in the snow? It's quite simple. Rather than it be carried into the atmosphere, the wind carries and along with the the snow so the bundles of ash fall. They would have to be very fine molecules, however. And I suppose it would have to be very windy indeed. I have an....interesting way of depicting Aberdeen. She's very cynical and sullen. Usually always in a deadpan.
