 Riptide was out and about organizing for a possible party or get together. It was one of his favorite things to do. He would often get together with Sanjiro to discus christmas parties, but for today it was a simple get to know other ponies of the sea. He didn't know too many except for Shamu, Hiroto, and Sanjiro. They were about the only couple he knew that actually lived in the sea itself.
There were the water siblings Celestia, Aquo, Aquiro, and Hemant, but they could not breath under the water, except for Aquo. Every now and then he would try to cheer him up, but it almost seemed to have no effect. Being the only Merpony he had seen kind of made him feel a bit disappointed, but still sea ponies were good enough as well to spend time with under the water.

 Tallulah swam through the water. She'd heard about a party going on and she wanted to be there. Parties were so much fun. All the new ponies to meet and different foods to try, it was like she was made for them. She was lost in her daydream about this party when she bumped into something solid. The blue and white sea pony blinked and shook her head. "ugh...oh!" She didn't realize there was another out here. "I'm sorry, didn't see you! Are you heading to the party too?"

Riptide noticed that someone or something had bumped into him. He turned around to see another sea pony. He chuckled for a moment a bit finding it strange she couldn't see him, but he didn't feel like teasing her since it didn't feel right. "Well I was heading that way to help get it set up actually. Although it appears I'm running late." He looked down. "You're more then welcome to come along though. I always do enjoy good company to talk to."

She smiled, "I'd love to tag along. I was afraid I'd be late and then everyone would be going home." She frowned, "So I'm glad that We'll at least be late together." Tallulah smiled and then gasped. "I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Tallulah."

Riptide was rather amused by this seapony. She was so talkative and friendly it was almost not impossible to admire her. "Well it's nice to meet you Tallulah. My name is Riptide or at least that's what others call me. It's probably because of my talent and what I do."
After a while they arrived there. There were still some sea ponies and mer ponies setting up. "I guess we made it after all, huh? Did you come to set up as well? That was my original plan."

"No, but I'd love to help set up. Just give me a task. I'll make sure it's done before the party. Or you could give me several tasks. I'd love to help just wherever I'm needed." She tried to remember not to talk so fast. She was just so excited that it was hard not to talk fast.

Riptide nodded his head. "Alright well do you think you could help Sanjiro set up the decorations? He's that green sea pony over there." He motioned his head towards Sanjiro. "I'll be over in a sec as well, but I want to make sure that one of the sea ponies remembered to bring the snacks."Sanjiro flitted back and forth before the banner came tumbling down on him. "Ooof!"Riptide chuckled a bit. "Actually maybe we should both help him." He swam over to him. "Need some help? We're here and this is Tallulah. She said she would be willing to help."Sanjiro squirmed out of the banner. "That's good because I'm gonna need all the help I can get." He looked a bit dizzy, but he was used to being a klutz. "Nice to meet you Tallulah."

"It's great to meet you!" She swam to one corner of the banner and grabbed it between her fins. "I've got this side."

Sanjiro swam to the other corner. "Ok then I got this one." He breathed a sigh of relief once it was up. "There we go. Now we just need to put some coral randomly throughout this place and maybe some seaweed plants too." He looked at Riptide and Tallulah. "Would you two mind putting these in nice places?"
Riptide shook his head. "Not at all." He looked over at Tallulah. "I guess they're mostly set up already, but we can still do a couple things or two if you don't mind."

She nodded, "I don't mind." She took a potted seaweed plant and put it on the center of one of the tables that was set up for food.
"Hm...I don't think it looks good here." She picked it back up and turned it a different way before setting it back down. "That's better. Now for some coral..."

Riptide squinted his eyes as he tried to think about how the plants he placed looked. At first they seemed a bit off. "I think mine need some plant food." He went to get some before returning and hoping they would perk up a bit. Riptide then looked over towards Tallulah. "Looking good! You seem like a natural at this. Did you ever set up for parties before?"

Tallula nodded, "Sure have." She smiled and looked around for something else to do. It seemed like everything was almost done. "Oooh...it looks so nice!"

Riptide smiled at all there was. "Alright. Then all we need to do is wait for the others to arrive." He looked around the area since everything seemed to be in it's place. "Want to go get some punch or something? We can chat more over there."

Tallula nodded, "Sure, I'd love to. All this decorating makes for hard work." She was gently floating toward the bowl. "How many ponies do you think will be here?"

Riptide poured some punch for the both of them before looking around. "Hmmm...good question. I'm hoping a decent amount of ponies show up to tell you the truth. This event was to get others out of their shell and get to see other sea ponies or merponies. That way they can see who their friendly underwater neighbors are."
He then looked back towards Tallula. "You looking forward to any of the events? I heard there will be a dance a thon, kareoke, some possible games, and..." He trailed off for a moment hesitating on the last event. "Well let's just say there are a lot of events set up that we're hoping others participate in. I know I will."
