Rules
1. Don't be an idiot. That should be as read, but we should make it clear.
2. Don't attempt to intimidate, harass, or otherwise interfere with other players.
3. No, seriously, don't.
4. Remember that this is fun, and is supposed to be fun!
5. Maximum one dragon and one wher per player.
6. You cannot enter this event if you are entering the event for transfers from Sands of Pern.

If you don't have a rider or handler from Sands to transfer, don't worry! For anyone not bringing a transfer rider or handler we are opening customs, maximum one dragon and one wher per player. All you have to do is create their profile and get them approved; you can choose between greens, blues and browns for both dragons and whers. If they are a pair from another RP you must credit whoever wrote the dragon or wher if it wasn't you. This offer is good until Sunday 9th March, 23:59 GMT, after which point pending apps can be finished but new ones cannot be submitted.
- Please post your application(s) form straight in the character application forum
- Please use this format for the title: [CUSTOM] (Rider/handler's name) of (colour dragon/wher's name)
- All customs are riders or handlers of ordinary rank
- Dragons must be adult and of an age to fit in with fit in with the timing of one of the clutches presented in the clutch master list if they are native to High Reaches. If they are a transfer they may be any age.
- Whers may be any age over one turn.
For this first batch of customs as a special deal you may have the chance to get a firelizard for your character if you wish. This will be done via a dice roll. This offer is only good until Sunday 9th March, 23:59 GMT, if your custom is still pending at that time and waiting on you rather than staff then you lose this chance! It will work like this:
- If you want the chance at a firelizard once you character is approved you must post in their newly approved profile requesting a roll.
- Staff will generate a random number from 1-3. On the roll of a 3 you get a firelizard!
- The firelizard’s colour will then be rolled on a d100. 1-49 = green. 50-79 = blue. 80-94 = brown. 95-99 = bronze. 100 = gold.
- You decide on what the flitt looks like and what its personality is like.
- You can then go back and edit into their history when they got the firelizard. Riders and handlers are fairly well paid so even people who came from a poor background could save up for one once they were on active service if they’re keeping their pay rather than sending it home or on other non essentials for themselves. Of course games of chance are also in if your character is a big gambler, and acts of heroism in the field can also earn a rider or handler a purse of money from the Weyrleader which could be used towards a flitt egg.
- Once your IC method of flitt acquisition is approved you can start playing!
