These musings were pushed further back in his mind as something caught his attention through the corner of his eye. Lazily, as he was feeling particularly at east with his surroundings, he craned his head around just in time to spot something curious.
Dreyri-Bein was still quite young despite growing rapidly in past couple of seasons. She'd trained hard ever since joining with Hroarr's warband, and there'd been times where she was so sore she didn't know where one limb ended and another began. However, she'd not take back a single ounce of that pain! It'd made her stronger, and she'd learned much more from failure than she ever thought possible. Now the dark pelted lioness stood at the ready, claws digging into the earth as she attempted to steady herself. Like always, when she wasn't out raiding or sparring with the other reavers, she was training on her own.
Today's regime? Testing her abilities and physical prowess. It wasn't too exciting, but without a partner to spar with she was left with little else to do. Muscles bunched beneath her as she crouched and readied herself, a rumble of effort escaping her throat as she finally released the tension to leap straight up and slash at the trunk of the tree. To her satisfaction her claws scraped into the wood, leaving behind fresh scars in the bark. Dreyri-Bein glanced up the trunk of the tree once all paws were firmly on the ground again, gauging how far up she had been able to reach. Hmm. Not bad, but she could do better! She bunched her muscles in preparation for another attempt, determined to go higher!
