Today is a good day to be receptive to other people's energies, Aries. You’ll find that a sensitive attitude toward the people around you, combined with a bit of hard work and willingness to fulfill your responsibilities, will make for an unstoppable winning combination. Use this day to collect data and plan your goals. Take responsibility for your actions and don't be afraid to admit your mistakes.

WELL DUH.

She rolled her eyes and put her phone back on the desk as she cut out tiny paper hearts. How obvious could that horoscope have been? It was the holiday about caring for other peoples' feelings! Of course she had to be attentive to those feelings!

Talia's favorite holiday had rolled around and she intended to spend it with gusto! Valentine's day had always been her favorite- she wasn't really sure why. So many people seemed to think it was really commercialized, or they despised it because they were single, but Talia was not one of those people. She adored the pink accouterments that accompanied the festive faire. Even better yet, it came right after the Lunar New Year, so Talia was already in a good mood from the influx of cash from her parents.

Decorations aside, she also really loved how relaxed it was. Halloween, Christmas and Thanksgiving were always way too stressful- there was so much to buy, so many places to be and required culinary skills that she simply did not possess.

Valentine's, on the other hand, would make a nice present out of a well-written adoration card. It was true that hallmark made a fortune off the cards and the candy and everything else, but Talia always liked that it was one of those holidays that didn't need all of those things to be special. You could just tell a person you loved them, and it was a enough.

"Oh, don't forget Kayla, she'll need one too ..." she mused to her little guardian cat as they patrolled down the street. Whether or not the cat was listening was none of her business. "Do you think it's too clingy to ask Dominic out on a date for Valentine's so soon ..."

By the time she made it home, she must have blabbed about the Saint's valentine for at least two hours. Her cards and chocolate were already splayed out across her desk, organized by last name and by time period (after all, some people she saw in the morning and others she didn't see until after school). You could even see how much effort she put into one person's valentine versus another without offending the person. It was quite the impressive feat.

Effort aside, Talia did just genuinely like seeing people happy. Any time people would complain about Valentine's day, she would get a very sour expression on her face, because why complain about a day that is about loving people. It was too infuriating for her simple little mind.

She pulled open her organizer, penciling in a time to call her mother and father and tell them she loved them. After all, Talia wasn't so sold on Prince charming that she didn't recognize that familial and philia love were just as important! There was no excuse for the kind of people that didn't love in a more than lustful way in Talia's book.

It was getting late, but she still had time to pull together a cute Valentine's outfit for the morning. After all, cupid couldn't come dressed in something unsuitable!

Finding herself thoroughly prepared, she finally turned off the lights, and waited anxiously for the holiday.
