There were a few extra snarls and growls that snapped around the Demon Dorms that day. The grumbles and complaints had begun the moment the dragoness found herself opening her dorm to a multi-tailed mini. One that had decided to dart into her room the moment the door was open. Causing a ruckus as her own pets began to chase the thing, all puffed up and furious at the intrusion.
To it's credit, the intruder was quick on its pale feet, and had managed to weasel itself up onto one of her shelves carved into the rock to hide behind some of her books and trinkets. The drakeling had taken wing, but was unable to reach the other mini.
It'd taken Agsil to march over and pull the thing out by the scruff to finally see the mini fully. A tiny white and yellow fox, holding a paper in its mouth it was all too willing to hand over to her. Skimming over the paper, the dragon hissed in annoyance.
"Hatchling's game, this is," she groaned, looking at the fox mini and then sighed as she adjusted her hold on the creature so she cradled it in her arms. Looking to her own rather annoyed pets, she shrugged to them. Crossing the room back to her door, she looked back to them. Wasn't much of a shock that they'd followed her. "I'll be back later. Stay," she added before opening the door and sliding out. Locking it, she peered back down at the fox in her arms. Setting it back on its paws, she extended an arm out in front of her. "Well then? Lead on."
The thing had lead her to the Demon Dorms. Which, at that point, had Agsil feeling mighty out of place and doing her best to not glare at each student she passed. Head held high, back straight, tail snapping behind her, she followed the creature.
She'd passed a particular room.
She may or may not have slammed her tail especially hard into a particular ice demon's door. Only to get a highly disapproving look from a dark-skinned, pale-haired boil with a fire flickering over his head. Agsil matched his look with a disapproving snarl of her own before continuing down the hall.
And stopping in front of another door. Tail flicking, wings rustling at her back, she knocked a few times. Glancing down at the proud looking mini, she snorted. "Your master has an interesting mind for games and how to send messages." The fox just trilled up at her and Agsil frowned.

Tavi sat on the edge of his bed looking over the purple present box in his hands. It had taken him a few months of odd jobs and pranks but he had finally managed to get enough silver seeds to buy a gift for one of his friends. Wiggling in excitement the kitsune leaned over his knees, arms extending outwards so the present didn't get squished then giggled.
"She's gonna be soooo fs!" He announced to the room before shooting up from the bed and spinning a circle. Glancing to a nearby mini the boil frowned, now realizing it had been a while since he had sent out his little shrine fox to pick up Agsil. Getting a bit worried he started to move towards his door, aiming to peek out of it and down the halls for any signs. Though just as he reached the door a knock sounded and started a flare of electricity from his whirling tails. "Ah" After a deep breath and a fit of nervous laughter he pulled the door open, teal orbs wrinkling in mirth when the sight he landed on was what he wanted.
"Agsil! Come in! H u r r y, u p !" Dancing back he left the door open and grinned as a certain little shrine fox strutted in and took its prize of a laid out treat in its food bowl. "I'm glad she found you ok! IWSTGW!" Clapping his hands together he peered from the ghoul and raced to grab the present on his bed in excitement, holding it high above his head like a piece of treasure and waiting expectantly for her to inquire about it.

Head cocked somewhat to the side, listening to faint sounds coming from within the kitsune's door, her hand hesitated near the door after knocking. Should she knock louder? How large was his dorm? Her own was rather massive to accommodate her natural state's size. It was too easy for sounds to get lost to her in either form due to the size of the room. Without much concept of the interior, it was a theory that made sense to her, one that had her already beginning to knock again--
--when the door actually opened. "Oh--!" Agsil stopped short, pulling her hand back towards her chest as she stared down at the boil. The very.... very cheery boil. His smile was infectious despite herself. Laughter at how he ushered her in spilled out without her meaning it to, stepping into the dorm without complaint. Thought she did note how the mini--the one who'd caused such a fuss in her dorm--seemed quite proud of itself. Tavi's strange speech pattern brought her attention back to the boil, lips pursing and pressing tight to try and bite back more laughter. "You were.... worried?" It was a guess, a quick attempted translation of yet more chatter. She was starting to get the hang of Tavi's quirk.
It was a mind game in and of itself just to try and figure out what he was saying. Easy for Agsil to fall into, test herself. Play. "Why would you be worried? I wouldn't eat a mini you sent to my dorm," she teased, pausing only when he ran to grab...
A box? A wrapped box. Clawed hands resting on her hips, she narrowed her eyes playfully towards the boil. Behind her, her tail flicked back and forth just over the ground. "Tavi. Hatchling. Why do you have such a prettily wrapped box~? Did you get a gift from a secret admirer~?" Despite how her thoughts switched back to how she'd seen her little friend kiss that large boil, she kept her expression playful.

Hearing Agsil laughing made him laugh a little too, it was a good sound to hear given he wasn't quite sure how she would take his gift. A thick swallow was given before he pushed himself onward, keeping a cheerful attitude in hopes that Agsil would keep hers. The gift while maybe not the most expensive, was one he wanted to get for her badly. Since it would be easier to keep in touch with her if she had a phone, but given her last statement on phones he was more than a little nervous for the actual delivery.
Twirling once his ear twitched, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips when she deciphered his shorthand. "Yes!" On a head tilt to the side then back the kitsune flashed a rather unamused look for her joke before a very pink little tongue flashed out for a loud raspberry. "Blaaah! I know you wouldn't e v e n !"
Now holding the gift high and awaiting notice his ears flickered impatiently, anticipation building. At the playful narrow of eyes his own rolled, then carefully watched while bringing the box forward, tails crackling with excited electricity behind him. Hatchling? Tavi blinked at the name, a clear look of confusion flickering to life, but just as soon as it came it was gone in favor of yet another bright grin. "Hah! NWNW!" Crackling over the thought of a secret admirer with blushed stained cheeks the boil trotted forward and presented the present to the dragon before exclaiming in a loud shout, "IT'S FOR YOOOOU~"
At the shout every mini in the dorm jumped, giving away just how many of them were lurking in and around each corner. Eagerly dancing now on his tippy toes he waited for Agsil to take the box before encouragingly hastily, "open it opppen it!" Inside the box, once the ghoul opened it, she would find one very up to date eyephone, one of which was grueling chosen on hour three of window shopping. Along with several pieces up torn up confetti paper and a printed card of 'surprise' laying over the screen of the phone.

Was it possible to be tired around the kitsune? That would have to be an experiment for another day, she mused to herself. She felt energized herself being around him, and his zapping between emotions and movements kept her attention riveted. The unamused look got an even more wicked looking smirk from the dragon--as if she'd eat a mini belonging to someone she knew. Most she kept as pets anyways. Though there were a few tastes she'd kept from her larger form...
The electricity sparking behind him made her straighten where she stood, all the more curious and at attention. That excited..? Over a gift? Her curiosity made her miss his confused expression--she likely wouldn't have attributed it to what she considered a term of endearment in this case--but she did catch the blush at her joke of a secret admirer. Hm~? Had she been right? She still had to track that other boil down, find out who he was. Without letting Tavi know what she'd witnessed. Least. Until she knew the worth of this other boil.
"Tavi, what have you gotten yourself in--" Her laughing words were cut off by the boil moving forward, moving the box towards her. And shouting. The minis weren't the only ones who jumped. Agsil just had a few reasons why she did.
The least of all being his volume.
She'd never gotten a gift since leaving the clan, or shortly after when her mother had sent her the egg that hatched her dear little drakeling. Carefully, stained hands took the present, staring down mystified by the wrapping. Gentle claws slit the minimal amount to open the box at Tavi's encouragement. She couldn't imagine her expression at that point--likely one part stunned stupid, one part alarmed. Her wings tensed, tail stilled, when she opened the box and got her first good look at the object within. One hand reached into pick up the device... and a smile slowly slipped across her lips. First to the card--surprise indeed--then the actual phone. Setting the box down at her feet, she stared a bit longer at the eyephone. Technology. "Nox hi, mal gein...." Agsilved uttered softly in her native tongue, before opening her free arm towards him in obvious request for a hug. "You'll need to give me your number, it seems... and teach me how to use this," she added. Reluctantly. Big time reluctantly.

A soft mischievous giggle sounded when Agsil jumped, he had honestly expected her to be use to his outburst by now. If only because she was starting to pick up on his shorthand. The look on her face though was what sparked the happiest expression from the kitsune. Even if there were a mixture of emotions in her features, they were ones that had him able to tell that she was stunned, which was good, or good to him since it meant his surprise worked.
Eagerly he waited, ears flattened to his head and teals wide in watching as gentle claws slit the wrapping on the box to open it. While her muttering in whatever language she was using fell upon deaf ears the gesture of her arm towards him, was not overlooked. Going on a gleeful laugh he captured the ink dragon in a half hug, careful not to bump the phone. "It's even got a shield! So that your ink won't cause no damage!" He beamed proudly with the announcement, tails whirring in a small circle behind him. Clearly that had been the selling point on the product.
The reluctant request brought a roll of teal orbs before the kit grabbed onto the dragons free hand and tugged her towards his straw padded bed. "Course! Here lemme see it." Letting go of the ghoul he plopped down on his bed, pulling his own phone out of the mess what was his blanket. "Let's seee...OHOH ICSYP!" Lots of pictures of his cute minis and one for his numbers icon of course.

Though he could not understand the language, Agsil hoped the meaning was at least translated in her actions. Thank you, little one. The half-hug was returned with a squeeze, even leaning down a little to nuzzle her cheek against his head. Releasing him, she took in his commentary about one of the features with... another rather surprised look. A shield..? Curious, she pushed some ink out from under one of her claws, letting the substance slide across the screen of the phone. Only for it to just.... slide. Pulling the substance back to herself, she found herself grinning. No smudges. The kitsune was right, it seemed. At least in that one section. She didn't dare try other places on the phone.
"That's perfect. Smart thinking," she grinned to him, more than happy to give praise to Tavi. To see how his tails whirled, she laughed. Never not energetic. Living fire.
That he didn't tease her on her lack of knowledge put her at ease. Instead, she was tugged towards the bed, a place to gratefully sit after Tavi had. She held out the phone towards him, unsure if he would take it, or simply direct her as he used his own. The new collection of letters made her pause, head cocking to the side as her mind tumbled over them. "You could... show me...." The last one made her pause, before the answer popped from her lips. "Pictures?" That was a whole other thought she hadn't considered yet, turning her eyes to the phone. "How do you take them? Send them?"
The first thing he showed her was how to even turn the darned thing on. And how to charge the battery. Numbers, texts, and photos--and lots, and lots, and lots of camera flashes--filled the hours after.
Along with a concept of the phone being a music player...
