Hohō (歩法, Step Method) is the name given to one of the four combat skills of the Shinigami and relates to footwork. Hohō is an important skill for most Shinigami, and is one of their four basic fighting styles. The agility and speed of Hohō can be enhanced and improved through concentration, training, and mastery of it. The foremost practitioners of this technique are those assigned to the Onmitsukidō. The one who is named Commander and Chief of the Onmitsukidō is named the fastest Shinigami within the whole Soul Society. Shunpo (瞬歩, Flash steps) is the greatest expression of the Hohō technique. However, there are variations even within Shunpo which only master Hohō practitioners can use.

        Air Walk: A skill, though not necessarily related, is the Soul Reaper ability to walk on air using spiritual energy. By collecting and solidifying spiritual particles beneath their feet, Soul Reapers can gain traction on thin air to either freely move about or to stop themselves from falling. This particular ability can only be obtained from officer level. This will act as a generic overview of Hohō and wont cost anything against the user, if they use this technique.


        Dashing: A most basic technique that allows the user to throw him/herself to a certain direction using a certain angle of which way the stance is directed and executed. Based on an individual's attributes, dashing can be quite a moderately fast move instead of running. Also depending on the distance, dashing can be quite useful if in closer range to the opponent. This technique is basically for all ranks. However, this will cost 1/2 of a single speed point. Meaning .5 of your Speed Points.

        Shunpo (Flash-Step): A movement technique that allows the user to move faster than the eye can follow. This technique requires a very high level of training, thus a most difficult one to obtain. One, who is of a high lieutenant ranking, must be able to possess Shunpo. Furthermore, it is a most fearsome mid-range/long-range speed known to be the exceeding ability than dashing. All in all, this ability can only be used by lieutenants and captains. For lieutenants it is nearly mastered, yet not perfected. Therefore, it is only of mid-range level 1. For captains Shunpo is of a level 2 maximum ability in which it is fully perfected for both mid-range and long-range. This ability takes one speed point away.

        Senka (Flash Blossom): Although Shunpo is connected with this ability, this technique possess a unique name and style of its own. This technique is known as Senka (闪花, Flash Blossom), a flash step combined with a spin to quickly move behind the enemy, followed by a strike aimed to destroy the saketsu chain and the hakusui soul sleep with a combination of two quick thrusts. This technique is one of the two, that Kimmimaru developed mixing Shunpo to complete its ability. Furthermore, only certain individuals, of high ranking captain level can possess such an ability. Meaning only Kimmimaru or the Captain Commander can teach this skill. This skill cost a total of 3 Speed Points.

        Reinka {Power Blossom}: This is an ability connected with Kido. By focusing one's own inner power within their legs, they are able to power up or double their agility speed. Meaning all of the moves that they perform work twice as fast as they did before. This only last for a total of Six post. However, there is a catch. Not only does one sacrifice half of the speed points to perform this move, every agility tactic after this move has wore off will be twice as slow rather than at normal speed. It is a speed boost tactic that Kimmimaru made for the most dangerous of situations No speed points required

        Speed Clones: The practitioner creates at least one other clone{s} of themselves at once using Shunpo. While they are indistinguishable from the user's true self and mimic their movements, the clones do not last long. They are also a sheer illusion, nor do they cause harm. Each clone takes one speed point away per post. This move is only for Captains

        Utsusemi: This technique is one of the perfect speed ability of them all. Furthermore, this is also one of the two, that Kimmimaru developed as well. It is the 4 ways of the Shihou through Shunpo which is also known as "Utsusemi". It's ability is a speed known to be so fast that the user leaves an afterimage of him/herself. Its affect is most absolute, superb, and flawless if ever fully perfected. And to be more specific, Utsusemi's speed is so fast, that the enemy can practically feel and touch the physical body of the afterimage and not even know the very fact that it is nothing more but an afterimage. Its very image can easily deceive the eyes of the enemy. This technique is very rare, thus few captains are able to possess such a flawless ability. Furthermore it is most lethal when combining Senka after Utsusemi is executed. This can ONLY be achieved with training with Kimmimaru and Only Captain Level Shinigami may posses such a technique. This technique cost five speed points to perform.


xxHohō System

This system is designed in order to keep users from auto-dodging. Auto-dodging is defined as a user who is always dodging attacks without getting hurt or harmed. Now, not every little dodge will count against you. However, this system will limit you on your major speed tactics so you can not always rely on a simple dodge. Each RPC is granted a number of points that are referred to as Speed Points. How many you get, depends on which rank you hold. The Higher the rank you hold, the more points you may obtain. Also not every ability is open to lower members of the Soul Society. Please read the techniques thoroughly! Also Skyerideon, the creator and owner of this system, has the right to add or change moves anytime that he or the Guild Captain wishes. Below is listed how many Speed Points are earned per rank. Also due note that since Squad Two is the originators and said to be the "fastest" Shinigami, they have a different ranking system Also listed below.

This system debuted in Bleach: Advent Chronicles However, Kyousuke Riluka is the original creator and owner of the system. The system also resets every twenty four hours in real life. Meaning every twenty four hours, your speed points will be restored to maximum in twenty four hours in real life time. This system is to let you know that we are watching. If you abuse the techniques, I will tighten the reigns...a lot.
