It was hard to resist really. That time of year was fast approaching. The day for romance and romantic comedies, the day when girls gorged on chocolate and everybody over dosed on perfumes and thought that roses tasted good in weird and new things. For Solia it marked her mourning of a tradition she'd long missed. Writing god awful fan fiction of her favorite pairings. Hell, she didn't even know if homestuck was over or still going anymore! But she did know one thing. Deus held a plethora of characters. It wasn't like she was out of source material here.

All she'd need to do is change the names, alter the facts here and there, flair it up, add some pizzazz. A little bit of oomf! Yeah, she could do it. She could keep the dream alive. She could keep it all going strong. But first she needed a target. A subject that made her muse sing. And no Israfel she chided her weapon no real singing this was art. The art of fan fiction.... though she wasn't a fan of people per say. Perhaps a fan more of Deus? Yeah, that worked.

Flipping through the files she uncovered a name. 'Maebe'. She didn't get any further than that name before she knew exactly what she'd be writing about. Or rather who she'd be writing about. At the life labs, in a darkly lit room, a glass of water and carrot sticks on a plate, Solia clicked away at keys, writing what sang to her.

Quote:
'Maybe it's Maebe: The story of Love, Longing, Loss, and Lamentation'.

She was fair. Peachy skin that flushed pink with the blush of love and light, lips ruby red with lipgloss. Eyes radiant and so deep you could get lost in them. She was majestic, a crown jewel, the one that everyone wanted but could not have. Why? Because it was simple, Maebe was a woman who liked to leave her optioned open. Or at least that's what they said. They being other people.

It was hard to pin point when it started. with just who started it. The long line of lovers left lonely, broken hearts hurt and left to heal on their own. Maybe it was Dylon, with his plaid in the pants, the way he just didn't keep up with the trends and times and eventually it was maybe time for her to move on. (She knew it was when all he wore was PJ pants even on their dates. It was hard to take a man seriously when he showed up ready to take you out only looking like he'd forgotten the most important thing- to put on pants).

The second was better than the first. That's something everyone could agree on.

Solia paused in her writting looking for someone else that this Maebe person knew. She found a Noah. Yeah. Yeah she could work with this. She could work this ship. Boat. Ark. Haha she was so going to make a joke about his Ark. and pairs and twos. Maturity thy name was Solia.

Quote:
Noah was a man of many shades, but none of them were gray. Maybe a little bit gay, but not gray. He was bright and brought a bit of sun to Maebe's days, even if that wasn't his division. He made her happy.. but then the rumors started. Maybe he didn't make her happy. Maebe was all fun and games and maybe thats just what he was. Fun and games. She left his port and went out, looking to dock elsewhere.

Solia made a face at that, going back to edit.

Yeah, much better.

Lucky came after, and like the hit song, he was out to get some, and she was out to have fun, and that was how Lucky got luck and wow I can't even write this Lucky I'm sorry but no. I can't do this to you O buddy O pal.

Solia completely scrapped the part with Lucky.

Quote:
Taym now there was a man- well not so much a man as a walking death, but that was cool, Maebe had a thing for rebels and hot older guys. But even Mr. McRude didn't keep her heart, no her heart? No, Maebe had left her heart long ago.

Deep with America.

Young love, dared they voice it? Did they dare to go the distance? All the way, across the sky? On the wings of eagles, to true freedom? It was anyone's guess. Maybe they did. Maybe they didn't. All that anyone knew was that Maebe, just Maebe, maybe knew what true love really was, and that the journey to find it would forever be a long one.
Maybe.

Solia looked at her finished worked and debated posting it for a while.

Then she did.

Hey, it wasn't like she signed it or anything.
