Persephone spent most of her time talking, even after her corruption. It was an interesting thing, how in the end, so very little had changed, and yet somehow everything was better. At least, she thought it was.
Tonight she had chosen to seek Order signatures, and so when she felt an Eternal, she picked up her pace, heels clicking and as good a sign of her presence as her aura. She wondered if it was someone she knew - or someone she used to know. And she wasn't sure if she hoped it was, or hoped it wasn't.
Not everyone was receptive to the choice she'd made.
So when she realized that she did recognize the Eternal - that it was someone who had once saved her life - she hesitated for a moment before calling out. "Corvus?"
Maybe the other Senshi didn't even remember her. It had been a long time, after all, and a lot had changed.Skye Starrfyre Sorry for taking so long ;; also i totally messed up your username in the quote MY BAD UGH

If it hadn't been for the stillness of the night the Eternal Senshi of Vengeance might have missed her name on the wind. When it caught her ears she tilted her head, listening for a moment before turning towards the sound of it. Something about it nagged familiar, but the power that accompanied it was decidedly less so. It was dark, tainted in a way that fogged the familiarity. She stood still and tall, refusing to shrink back but not really defensive. Whatever it was she would meet it head on. "Do I know you?"

Persephone smiled faintly. "I guess you don't recognize me, then. I'm Sailor Persephone - you saved me from an officer, quite some time back." It didn't really surprise her. All she had in common with the Persephone of a year ago, the tiny girl in the short white dress, was a name and a sphere. In every other way, she liked to think that she had grown.
Sometimes, as with her hair and the length of that dress, quite literally.

Sailor Persephone. She wracked her mind for the name, trying to place the face afterwards. She had once taken great pride in not forgetting the face of any senshi that she had met... But how many had their been? How many similar situations? The realization settled in and her eyes widened slightly, the memory of the green haired girl coming back. Something was wrong, though, with the given situation. She had saved her... Yet it had come to this? "I must not have stuck around long enough afterwards." She gestured to the other senshi's attire. "Was it by force or by choice? Or did they not let you remember?"

Persephone let out a quiet sigh. "No, not long at all," she acknowledged. "No one did, really," which wasn't entirely true, there had been Sisyphus and Sidouer and Dionysus, mostly. But she had failed them in the end, so in a way, they might as well have not stayed with her at all.
"I chose this. I remember it, and I remember every bit of why - it's the other half of the equation I'm missing, as it were." It seemed easy enough to confess, since as far as she knew Corvus had never known her civilian identity.

"I'm sorry." The Eternal Senshi of Vengeance apologized as though it had been her fault alone and she took that extra moment to wonder whether or not anyone else that she knew, had known, had taken that route because someone had left them alone and vulnerable. She thought about how she had almost taken that route when she had been alone and vulnerable. "Did it hurt?" The question seemed innocent enough coming from the senshi, even if it was unknown that she knew what it felt like to have a hand shoved into your chest... Even if the corruption of her own star seed had never started, she remembered the agony that had enveloped her for that moment before she had been saved.

"Like a b***h," Persephone acknowledged with a small shiver. Nothing felt quite like corruption. "I mean, my starseed got pulled once - I thought that was the worst I'd ever feel, and uh, no, I was very wrong. Worth it, though."
Worth it for Eternal-level power, for the feeling of warmth and acceptance and happiness that had come with being a Senshi of the Negaverse, for everything that had gone right about it afterwards, even if the corruption itself was...sub-optimal.

She nodded in a slow, sad acceptance before turning her head away from the other young woman to glance up at the stars. It was clear from her actions that she wasn't expecting this to turn into a fight. If Persephone had intended to fight this evening she was certain that the other senshi would have taken advantage of the situation early on when she had still been unaware. "Nothing that I have been through in the past five years quite compares to having a hand imbedded in your chest." She managed the slightest smirk. "Sometimes I wonder how things might have been different if he hadn't hesitated... Or of someone hadn't saved me."

Persephone's hand went to rest, almost subconsciously, over the hole in her chest. Talk of starseeds made her conscious of what was, fortunately, less of a glaring weakness thna it looked. At least no one could actually reach into her chest and pull out her starseed, unless they were an officer - and hopefully no officer would be trying.
"It might have been better," she said. "I've found Chaos more...accepting, more warm, than Order. But perhaps you've been lucky on the Order side, if you had someone to rescue you from a General-King."
