As she had been for several weeks, Persephone retread the paths that had led her to her teammates. Tonight, it was the park where she'd met Aludra, and she was chasing Order auras, hoping to speak to the girl.
So far, it had been a mixed bag. Leda had turned her away, Dionysus had been more accepting - how would Aludra react? Or any of the others, really, but they weren't her focus tonight.Ruriska Sorry for taking so long ;;

Aludra was still shy on powering up, but she had decided she still had a purpose. It was her duty to use her abilities to do good things, or else the bad guys would always win. Still, when she felt the dark energy enter the park, she nearly powered down and ran for the hills. There was a brief moment where she wavered indecisively and just as she was about to leave as fast as her feet could carry her, the Corrupt Senshi came into view. Aludra nearly feel off the tree branch she was standing on.

Persephone scanned the area, feeling the aura of a chibi senshi nearby, and her eyes fell on a flash of red in a tree. "Aludra? Is that you?" She asked. Her voice was gentle, soft, encouraging - no different than it might have been were she wearing white wings instead of black.
"I'm not going to hurt you. Please don't think I would."

Those words were all it took to put Aludra at ease. This was Persephone. Her leader, her friend. She landed on the ground in front of Persephone, smile apologetically and moved forward to hug the older girl. "I'm sorry. You just felt different, that's all." Persephone reached out, embracing Aludra warmly. She rested her head, briefly, on top of the chibi's head, exhaling happily. It was good to be greeted warmly, rather than with horror.
"Well, in fairness, I am different," she acknowledged. Corrupted, some might say. Enlightened, she would argue.

It still felt strange, but this was Persephone despite the changes the other Senshi had gone though and so Aludra gave her a tight squeeze in return. She was smiling as she stepped back, giving the older girl a once over. "You're hair looks really nice," she commented, reaching out to touch a strand. "So um... how different are you?" While she had met another Corrupted Senshi before, she still wasn't sure exactly what the whole process entailed.

Persephone felt warmed simply by Aludra's acceptance. The Chibi wasn't screaming ro raging or calling her a monster - just complimenting her hair and asking how she'd changed. Which was a difficult enough question, she supposed, but one she could answer.
"Well, I...forgot my old civilian life, which is a little sad," she admitted. "But I'm an Eternal Senshi now, which means I'm stronger and faster, Negaverse powers mean I an teleport, my magic hanged, and Lieutenants and Captains have to listen to me. Sort of."

Aludra tugged thoughtfully on one of her pigtails, quietly absorbing this new information. "I know... they aren't all bad," she started finally, a little frown furrowing her brow, "but the ones who are did terrible things. You're stronger now, so... did you stop them? They deserve to be stopped." Them. She knew Persephone would understand. They had killed someone and what was the point in changing sides and growing stronger if you didn't use it to get rid of the really bad guys?

Persephone felt her heart clench for a moment. Oh, god, how was she to explain that not only had she not stopped them, she was living with one of the people that had attacked her team?
"It's complicated," she admitted, which was true. "I can't...I can't kill other officers, or anything like that - but a lot of them answer to me now, so I can make sure they never do something like that again."
That was a total lie. Natron had done nothing wrong, as far as his superiors were concerned, by ordering the attack on their team. Quite the opposite.

"You have to make sure, you have to promise they never get a chance to hurt anyone ever again." It was probably a little unfair, she realised even as she said it, to lay this burden on Persephone. But the older girl was stronger now and Aludra couldn't do it herself. Her gaze was drawn down to the glowing darkness at Persephone's chest and she lifted a hand towards it, as if to touch. "Did... did it hurt?" She asked. Aludra still wasn't clear on many of the finer points of being a Senshi but even she could tell something integral from Persephone had been taken when she'd changed sides.

Persephone swallowed. She couldn't make that promise, and she knew it. The next time some poor team got ambushed, she might be leading it. So instead, she let herself be distracted by Aludra's other question.
"Yeah, it hurt a lot, but it was worth it." She said, and she felt a brief moment of mourning for reasonable-length hair, because if it was any shorter she would be fiddling with it.

"I hope so," she said, placing a hand against her own chest instead. Even if Persephone seemed more confident, there was still something missing, something cold. Aludra smiled up at Persephone anyway, holding tight to her former (if briefly) team leader. "I trust you, but the the bad guys will keep hurting people if we don't stop them. They're not right, no matter what they say. So I'm going to do my best, okay?"

"Do what you have to, Aludra," Persephone said, and she sighed softly. As much as she wanted them all back at her side, she knew it would be some time yet. Aludra and Dionysus were still chibis - untouchable by corruption, as far as she knew.
"But think on it - think on if they're, if we're, really evil or bad or wrong." Emphasis heavily on we, because she was of the Negaverse now. They were her family and her allies. Even if someday she would have her old team at her side. If anything, no one was better than the other. "Chaos isn't the only side that hurts people, Aludra. A dear friend of mine lost his parents to a Senshi not long ago."
Did the young girl really need to know what had happened to Natron? Oh well, it was already out.

Aludra absorbed this new information, her expression as serious as a twelve year old could get. "I don’t think anyone is always right," she looked sad but she still held her head up high. Despair wouldn't win this time. "This fight isn’t fair at all, on anyone. It has to stop and I’m going to find a way." Yes, that was the path she had decided on.

"If you can find a way to stop it, Aludra, I would welcome that," Persephone said. This war was hard on everyone who fought it. "This war takes everything you have, and everything you are."
She swept the chibi into a last hug, holding her tight for a moment. "I should go. I don't like staying out too long, but it was so good seeing you again. I'm - I'm so happy you're okay, Aludra. Please stay safe, alright?"
