It was not at all an uncommon sight: a small, pink and white cub practicing combat movements. She was quite good for her age, but anyone familiar with the pride in which she lived would be rather unsurprised, given the color of her fur. After all, Sedare was one of Mittere's children, and no one expected anything less of the Master Warrior. True, they might hope for less, but not where Mittere could hear them.
Sedare herself was damned proud of her ancestry and couldn't wait to prove it to the world. The Bards said that Mother had come from distant lands (Mittere rarely spoke about the world outside the Kitwana'antara, save to stress how important it was to defend their home) and that she'd been a warrior of no small skill. Hell, she had the disease, but you couldn't tell by looking at her! The young lioness was proud to be the Master Warrior's daughter and intended to be every bit as worthy of that as she could. She'd be the second best Warrior in the pride after her mother!
So the young lion practiced daily, not just in the sessions Mittere had organized for her children, but in every spare moment the cub could find. Her movements were energetic, even though she'd been at this for well over an hour, and if they weren't graceful or refined, that skill would come in time. Regardless, Sedare was focused on her task, oblivious to the world around her.

Ebha watched silently, slowly realizing she knew exactly which family this cub belonged in. She was fitting into the pride just fine, she pretty much had the basics down.. what remained, really, was learning about the residents. That she could look at an unfamiliar cub and recognize her was a triumph.. but the proud moment was short-lived as she saw Sedare misstep. She jumped and took half a step forward, seeing what was about to happen but unable to do anything to stop it once the accident was in motion.
She froze, waiting for a reaction that never came- and then she realized now was the time to step in, before panic set in.
"Oh my!" she cried, stepping forward and hoping she didn't startle the cub again, "That was quite the fall you took, dear!" She had to bite back asking if she was OK because it was apparent that she wasn't really OK, she very likely would be but no right now.

Part of Ebha was surprised by the language and tone that came from the cub, but another part of her was expecting it. She shouldn't have laughed, but if the little one wanted to try to speak like an adult, she would have to deal with the backlash that came with it. Luckily it was only a short chuckle and, for what it was worth, the display seemed to indicate (to Ebha) that everything was OK.
"That was very impressive," she said, not indicating what 'that' was and stepping closer so she could get a better look. She was completely out of her element now, not being very familiar with broken bones, but there was no doubt about the state of that leg. She'd never heard of bones being affected by the disease so she could only guess the best kind of healer for this would be either a medic (surely broken bones were not so rare in battle?) or a Master.
"That leg is in bad shape," she said gently, looking from Sedare's toe up to her gritted teeth and then her teary eyes, "Does anything else hurt?"

Ebha nodded along with the list, not surprised to hear what else was hurting. If she hit the ground hard enough to make that kind of angle with a leg, there was a chance it wasn't her only injury- but with any luck, it would be the only broken bone. And based on that list, anyway, it would be the only one they would have to do something about. It was lucky for Sedare that she was a part of a pride because an injury like this could be fatal in the roguelands- directly or indirectly. But the cub didn't need to hear that.
"Alright dear, you need to calm down," she said, suspecting that might just get her yelled at but she could see the frustration and anger amidst the pain and none of it was helping, "Deep breaths."
She could see the entire cub from where she was standing but Ebha opted to walk around her thoughtfully anyway. It was probably safe to move her and get her to a healer who could handle this properly, and that was certainly a more attractive plan than leaving her here to fetch help. She glanced around but nobody seemed to be passing close by, perhaps a reason the cub had chosen this spot to practice in.

Ebha ignored the cubs angry response she got, happy that Sedare was making an effort at least on the breathing. In fact, she was doing very well considering she was a cub and that she was injured. She stopped off to one side of the cub and watched her breathe for a moment.
"Very good," she said, "Now, I'm going to have to take you to a healer who knows how to deal with broken bones. Moving will hurt but trust your body, you will find a more comfortable way to hold your leg and you will leave it there. If anything starts to hurt more, then you tell me. Got it?"
She didn't intend to give the cub a choice in the matter, Ebha was confident enough to handle this much. When she got to a medic or, preferably, a master healer, then she could look into easing her pain and finding her mother.
