Pokerus was not a lovey dovey creature.

Or, what might be more appropriate to say, she liked to think she was not a lovey dovey creature. At the very least the hole scarentimes shebang was met with a ick as the school was filled with couples who were eager to get together and act all romantic in public. And after seeing the fifth couple in a row passionately kissing each other she just rolled her eyes and pulled out her phone.



Poke was pretty sure the ghoul wouldn't be interested in scarentimes, so it was a safe bet. But as she prepared to bring enough food over to sink a small ship, she passed the festivities area and caught sight of the name. 'Love is a battlefield.'

...Okay, she couldn't resist. It had the world battle in it, she'd take a small peak to see what was up before heading over.

It didn't take long for her to see the wall was plastered in hearts, each with a little nametag. It was kind of cute, and the dragon took a few minutes to see who had received one. Plenty of familiar names cropped up, including the illustrious Riyo herself. Hell, she had three! She laughed at this, gently taking the heart off the wall. Hell she was about to see her, why not grant the ghoul a favor?

As she was about to leave, she stopped short when she realized that her name was up on the wall. Curious as to who would give her such a thing, she took the heart and -

"...."

She was quick to vacate the premises , and in no time at all was knocking on Riyos door complete with two bags of food "Yo, I got the goods!"

Her face may have off been a little red. Just a little.

"Heh, I took a bit of a detour." Poke confessed as she placed the bags on a table. "And I'm...not sure hold on...." She pulled out various chips, dips, cheeses, meats, and even a few cans of sardines, before finally fishing out a pack of spookie dough. "the ghoul at the register said this was a necessity. Don't know why though."

Sitting down on the table, she was about to claw through a packet when she paused. "O-oh, yeah. Something like that. I had a look at the gagfest that was scarentimes, then I hurried my way over. Wanted to get away before I blew chunks, there is that much romanticism floating around." Another pause. "Oh yeah, I found these on the wall. Don't worry I didn't look at them." She pulled out the heart with Riyo's name on it, leaning over to hand it to her.

When she sat back and continued with her snack, she failed the notice the Peice of paper That had accidentally slipped onto the table without her knowing

"Of course I do, compared to you that is." One friendly jab against a another, Poke took the other half of the dough and wasted no time in spooning herself a generous serve "soul food huh?", nearly biting the spoon in half, the ghoul soon found out just why. "mm, tis some good s**t"

Watching Riyo open her scarentimes was quite intriguing, judging from the unimpressed look she wore with each one. "Damn, anyone would of thought you just got sent a bill for a trillion seeds. Why the sour face?"

As she continued to spoon feed the glorious dough, she soon found herself nearly choking on it when Riyo asked her her next question. 'Cough', ack, just a boil. Met him a few weeks ago. First year." With a swallow she took deep breaths of air, then ripped open a drink to make sure everything went down. "Don t know much about him. He's kinda mysterious."

Riyo did have a point. It was rare a holiday of any sort would go well around here. "Well I ain't no sage, but I image it gives people a excuse to celebrate the fact they're hitched with someone. Or a excuse to make out in public." Or worse, she was sure. "Though what exactly do you mean by terrible?. Terrible as in I got turned into a insanity monster or, terrible because my significant other is a a**"

The dragon didn't seem to predisposed to answer the next answer. "W-well, I'm...not sure. Probably just wanting to be friendly." Because a boil you hardly knew would send you a scarentine in order to be 'friendly'. But then that made sense. Friends sent friends scarentimes right? Even male friends. With amnesia.

It could happen

"Someone kissed you against your will...." Poke had to digest this slowly, putting down her dough just encase she squeezed it to bits. "I hope you beat the ever loving s**t out of him, because if you didn't then I will." Or scare the ever loving s**t out of him. That sounded like a fun time. But at the very least he had got stabbed by something.

"Don't know if I'd touch anything that said speed dating." She then replied, picking up her dough. "but then again I've never been interested in that kind of thing."

Until now.. "...." The dragon ghoul meet Riyo's gaze, but offered no retort. At least not straight away. "There has to be a reasonable explanation behind it that...doesn't involve what your thinking. I mean come on. He's see me like, twice. Or three."

Okay, good, a*****e got what he deserved. Poke didn't press the matter any further as the topic kept swinging back on her own scarentime. "Right" She replied, watching Riyo wave around her paper hearts with interest. "And I wasn't flustered..." Though it was a useless defense when she very clearly was. But at least the cat ghoul agreed with her. Tanvir was only being friendly and nothing else. All was good again, she didn't need to get worked up over it nor feel disapointed or anything.

Becuase she didn't feel disapointed. At all.

Time for a subject change, the dragon thought. This was supposed to be getting away from lovey dovey crap. They should bring out the scary games and watch some skelevision or a movie or fight or something. Yes she was going to suggest just one of those things.

...But she was still jack dam curious.

"So, who sent you those scarentimes?"

"Well no s**t, you're a cat." Poke then had to pause and process exactly Riyo said, then what she said, then grumbled to herself wondering if she had been witty or just stupid. She ended up looking pretty confused.

She instead focused on the chance to look at whom had sent the scarentimes. "Ah, Hel's pretty cool. She helped with the reaper booth and gave us the chance to sneak up on shun. It was amazing cause I-" She then paused, eyes focusing on one of the scarentimes.

"....Deacon." She said the name slowly as if she was in pure disbelief. ".....Deacon." She had to say it again, pinning Riyo with a stare that pretty much screamed 'WTF'.

"Oh yeah, he is a d**k. A d**k thats sending you one of these." She pointed to the paper heat for emphasis. "I've know him for a while as well, I'm even in a band with the guy and he never seemed like the kind of boil to go around sending cards to ghouls." Though it was a far stretch to say she knew him well, as they rarely practiced together and she saw the bakeneko only on a full moon, she had always received a rather unsettling vibe from him. Like she had to be on her full guard at all times lest he could get the better of her.

Or maybe she was giving him too much credit. He was a lazy a*****e she knew that much. While she worked her a** off to study and excel at school he didn't do jack s**t. He was no threat to her at this point, much less to Riyo. Though it was still so weird to see his name on a scarentime card.
