Fortunately, or unfortunately, for Noah, Peyton was around. She answered the door with a curios expression on delicate features that suggested she was expecting it to be someone else, but as she looked up to see Noah she smiled. Apparently dragging him to a disaster of a sensitivity seminar hadn't scared him off for life, that was good. She liked to think she got along with pretty much everyone, but there weren't that many people on the island she'd have considered a real friend. Noah had made it on that small list. "Hey."

Opening the door wider, the dainty Sun leaned against the frame, thumbs tucking into her back pockets. "I see America got to you as well," she pointed out with a grin, elbow jerking in direction of the Pocky in his hand. "Good stuff, isn't it?"

"So what's up?"

"I did! Hard to resist, really. After having to go so long without anything half so tasty." It was said with a grin and the soft roll of thin shoulders in a small shrug. She looked down to the box in his hands as well as he mentioned having brought it for her, and pale brows rose curiously. As the Pocky was held out to her she reached up for it automatically, taking it in her hands and glancing down at the picture of pink coated sticks. It was strawberry, she loved strawberries. "I don't know if I can take this if it's your favorite." Especially since she had three boxes of her own. "How about we share it?"

She looked up at him again as he asked if she'd like to accompany him on a trip to the labs to visit the minipets. They'd never made it there the last time they'd hung out, something having come up. It had been a disappointment at the time, but it seemed they'd get a second chance at it. "Yeah sure, I'd love to." After meeting the conjoined kits under Taym's care, she was eager to see what creatures they had in the labs.

Plans set, Peyton stepped back so she could slip her boots on before joining Noah in the hall and closing the door behind her. "You've been here long enough to have leave days," she pointed out helpfully, smiling as she tucked her fingers into her back pockets once again. "I mean, I faced off against you last summer, so you've definitely been here the minimum one month." She paused, looking thoughtful for a moment. "Though I suppose there is a bit of a queue with the portals having just gone back up." Lips twisted, then she shrugged.

"So how've you been?" She hadn't seen him since the debacle of a seminar, but he looked well!

"You don't, though if you like one to go with you, I can volunteer." It'd been a while since she'd gotten off the island for anything but a mission.

It was always pretty neat to hear what the other division did while all the Suns and Moons were out training. She was quiet as she listened, smiling softly at how much at ease he seemed now. Coming out of his shell. "That's pretty awesome. I'm sure in a little while you'll be able to get more access once the powers been up." She kept at his side, but she wasn't really sure where she was going, so she didn't mind Noah being half a step in the lead.

"Me? The usual. Lots of training, spars, missions. Occasionally other things, like kitchen duty, dishes." Thin shoulders shrugged. "Things didn't really change much for my division when the power went out, so it's business as usual."

She had to smile, leaning in to bump her shoulder against his arm. "Of course I would."

There was something incredibly refreshing about spending time with someone that was just easy. Peyton didn't have to tiptoe around Noah, there was no hidden agendas, no tension. It lent the young man a certain charm, and considering he was already adorably cute, not to mention easy on the eyes, it was likely, given time, to prove a lethal combination.

"Sun division is all about staying in shape and keeping our fighting skills honed. It's mostly training, either combat, or strength, or cardio." Peyton had always taken care of herself, and had fallen into a strict training regime easily. "We also do the usual stuff, patrols, mess duty, whatever." Shoulders rolled, a light shrug, before she was shaking her head. "Why am I not surprised that most of the weird s**t is a result to bored Lifer's failed experiments?" It really did make sense.

Nose wrinkled, but delicate features smoothed seconds after. "So where were you thinking of going on your leave?"

Looked up at that, smile gone a bit incredulous as pale brows lifted. Once upon a time she would have gotten pissed about being called small, but being recruited, being placed in what she considered the most badass division, had done wonders for her self confidence where size was concerned. "I'm not 100% sure what all goes into deciding what division to put us in, but I used to get into fights a lot in school, and maybe that had something to do with it?" Whatever the reason, she thought they'd been dead on in placing her in Sun. Moon probably would have been a good fit as well, but she had that competitive, fierce need to be the best going for her. "Were you interested in science or biology before coming here? Or maybe computers?"

She nodded along when he mentioned the stipulations on where they were allowed to go on their leave. It wasn't something she really needed to worry about, she'd never settled anywhere long enough for anyone to get to know her, and she was fairly certain her family had moved on sense she'd been recruited. "New York's nice, I went there for my first leave. I could show you around a bit." She was grinning again. "I mean it's huge, so I didn't really see a whole lot, but I've got at least some idea of where I'm going there."

"Makes sense," she agreed, actually pretty impressed by his life goals. Or rather, former life goals. Peyton hadn't really thought about what she might have done after high school. There had been no plans for college, or for anything, really. Her life had boiled down to watching over Astrid and just trying to keep moving forward as best she could given her situation. That had been a large part of what made being a hunter so appealing. It was a destination, an end goal, stability she so desperately wanted.

She thought back on her trip to the big apple. "Kind of. I saw time square, which is really awesome. I also caught glimpses of the statue of liberty, but didn't have time to take the ferry to Ellis island." Her head tilted, smile gone soft. "I did a lot of wandering around, really. Without an concrete destinations in thought. Shopped, ate a central park hotdog. Oh!" Suddenly she perked up, hands slipping free of her pockets so she could grab the taller hunter's arm. "Central park is amazing! You'd love it." And now she was starting to get pretty excited about the idea of taking a day trip with Noah.

"The queues gone now, you know. There really isn't anything keeping us from just going." It wasn't entirely idle. She had leave days, she had quite a lot of money saved up. What was stopping them from just being spontaneous and going?
