The General Manager came strolling around the corner, his aviators hiding his black pupils from view and his normal attire in place. Even as an authority figure, Shanahan clearly had no intent of wearing fancy suits or "dressing to impress." With his body, he was already impressing the ladies, surely. ((/wink, ladies))

"Excuse me, sir. Would you mind if we had a word with you real quick?" A male's voice spoke from behind the camera, assumed to be an interviewer out of sight. When Matt approached to the camera, he looked up and came to a halt, caught off guard by the sudden interviewer.

"Uh, yeah, sure. Go ahead, I got some time. What'cha want?"

"This has been one of the most explosive shows Bad Blood has had in awhile, and we were just hoping to get your thoughts on some things."

"If you have to. Make it quick."

"Of course, sir. Well, right off the bat we saw that you were absent from your typical Opening segment of the night. Instead we got a message from The House Our Father Built, who then threatened you specifically. What are your thoughts on that?"

"... I'd tell you, but that would ruin the surprise. I was actually on my way to address that before you stopped me. We do have a short time table for extra s**t like this, you know?"

"Alright, fair enough. What about Jarel's words that he shared earlier? Do you have any comment on that?"

"Honestly, no. A lot of it confused me; he seriously rambled about -nothing-. All I heard was that he didn't like Matt Draven's creative use of promo time, Vaseline Man's thirst for justice, and he thinks that I'm trying to rig everything against him. Which is really funny in itself, because I do believe that I let him choose the stipulation to the match. I put him in the World Championship tournament in our first show. I allowed him another shot after he lost to a guy that wasn't officially signed to us yet, when I could've easily -not- have done that. And if I hated him as much as he hates me? I would have fired him by now. I have no issue being civil with him, but when he makes jabs at me, you can bet I'm gonna have a say. Also, I have no daughter, at least not that I'm aware of. So he -literally- went on a pointless rant. In my humble opinion, of course."

"Speaking of Vaseline Man, what's your take on the situation involving him and The Gallant earlier this evening?"

"Uh... you know, that's a good question. I'm not sure. The Gallant was released after our first show, so to see him back and attacking a vaseline covered man like that is... bizarre. But, I've seen stranger. Somehow."

"Following the trend of bizarre things, a stagehand was found unconscious with paint all over him this evening; along with that, a strange video of something called 'The Dark Carnival' aired, raising some concerns. Do you have anything to contribute to that? Are the two events related?"

"Well, lemme assure you that the stagehand is being taken care of by our best medical staff. This s**t ties back to the same ******** that vandalized the Moda Center back in Portland. As for this Carnival? Uh... I don't know much, honestly. I don't think they're linked together, that would be a really ******** up pairing. Vandals and clowns.... I really hope we avoid seeing that happen."

"Very well. We also saw an exchange between yourself and the retired legend, Freakshow. You two have been known to have bitter hatred towards each other, would you care to explain his appearance?"

"You're just as surprised as I was. I had no plans or knowledge that he was even in California tonight. But, as you've seen with my interactions with Kelly King and Jarel Damone, I can set aside my personal vendettas for the good of business. If people hear that Freakshow is making an appearance, maybe he'll eventually get a match and get hit by that final concussion to send him off the deep end. Now -that- would sell."

"What about the words you exchanged? He didn't seem interested to have a match, he seemed to want to bring you another big name to the company. When you mentioned Salem Croft, the world champion, he seemed set on doing so."

"Yeah, yeah, he did. I don't know much about that; I know there was some clash between them about a year or so ago, but not much else. But hey, maybe it'll keep Salem on his toes. Plus, another big name, even better for the company. As long as they don't ask for too much paycheck-wise."

"We also noticed that Cyrus Leone was in the office when Freakshow was present, but we didn't get to hear anything from him. Rumor has it that him and you got into a confrontation over what was 'good for the company'. Do you care to comment?"

"Actually, yeah I do. Lemme elaborate on that a bit. Cyrus came in, planning to offer his help on The House situation. I may have taken his words the wrong way, and he may have taken mine in the same manner. We both got pretty hot-headed and clashed on the matter. He threatened me, I threatened his career... it was a rough situation."

"Do you have any sort of vendetta against Mr. Leone?"

"Oh, not at all. I'm pretty sure it's a known fact that I have nothing but respect for The Lion. I mean, I've supported him since before I opened Bad Blood's doors to him. He's a man with an ego though, and I am too. I mean, don't get me wrong, I appreciate his offer, but... this is a matter that I want to keep as many people out of that I can. The House has already damaged Omega, injured Hiro Shin-Mozas beyond belief, and took Seita Gray and Andrew Styles out of commission. The last thing I want is anymore valued members of my roster to be harmed."

"The House has caused a lot of issues as of late, we all know that. They said their next target was you; do you think they were bluffing? Are you taking any measures to protect yourself?"

"Nope. I'm sure they were serious. And I've no need for protection."

"But sir, four men have already been brutalized by their method of assault. Do you think that's wise?"

"Yeah, you're right. It's dumb to not have security around me after they ******** up four of my best talents -and- disrespected one of my championships. But I don't need protection. I got this." Matt spoke while holding up his Punk-ville Slugger, showing it off to the cameraman and the interviewer. "And I'm afraid that concludes the interview, gents. I've got a House to demolish. Take care!"

Before the interviewer could retort, The General Manager walked around them and carried on with his merry path.
