Cecilia landed softly in the grass, adjusting her landing with ease against the slight slope. The tall grass ate her up to her knees and felt oddly cool. It was dusk, and a full moon was already visible as the sun made its way down past the distant mountains. It was such a sweet smell in the air and the land sung to the rustling of the wind in the grass. This was exactly what the grey mare needed to end a day, sights common but beyond worth and a bit of peace. It had been a long time since she'd been this pensive but much had been on her mind the last few days. Her future, the sudden lull she found her life to be in, and what she meant to do about the potentials swirling in her head.
Taking a deep breath of the cooling air, Cecilia made an effort to release her problems with her breath. It was begging to get chill but she didn't mind all too much, and she set to walking about the grassland in search of somewhere to loiter and look at the land. This goal took her to ascending the hill she'd landed upon, and she watched the sun recede in the distance as she did.

Anselm watched pensively as the sky appeared to bleed into the hill, bathing the distant, waving streams of grass in orange and red. His own golden eyes flickered as he watched the sun slowly set, until all was peaceful; a blustery night that seemed to whisper sweet melodies in the wind. As fireflies began to litter the sky with gold, a smile spread across Anselm's face. Surely tonight held promise.
Upon reaching that thought, his attention was immediately re-focused on a sound from not too far in the distance. His ears perked, smile fading. It wasn't like he didn't enjoy company; rather, he was so unadjusted to it at this point in his life. What did the promise of a stranger's words hold, he wondered as his maw jerked slightly to the side in anticipation.
Whoever it was, they were getting closer. Anselm straightened himself out, preparing an awkwardly amiable grin. He had to be prepared for whomever appeared, be it an amenable creature or a unfriendly spirit.
His voice rang out with what he hoped to be a brave and manly introduction, but somehow he felt he had fallen short.
"H-hello."

The sun had almost set completely now, and the dusky sky had the evidence of stars already. A full moon meant the lighting had begun to change from the warm glow of the sun to the cool moonlight. It was easy to tell that winter was on it's way out. Cecilia's breath wasn't visible these last fee days. The rivers in the valley she roamed had begun to swell with the snowmelt.
This between of winter and spring was Ceci's favorite time of year, even moreso than the autumn. She prodded he hoof in the soil, noting the permafrost had secceded probably for the rest of the year. As she did this, her ears turned to hear a sound, different than that of the grass but nearly as soft and quiet. She lifted her head from the ground and turned flicking her tail against the grass.
"Good evening," She began, studying the stallion. He looked young, and was a completely intense white against the grass, almost reflecting the moonlight himself. This didn't give him the regal look one would expect, at all, but an almost ghostlike appearance. Ceci was rather amused by this and the quiet with which he spoke. "What brings you out so late, stranger?"
