A storm was brewing over Destiny City. Thick, dark clouds had rolled in from the west, blanketing the sky in dreary despair before night had taken over, giving the wind that had come with them an added chill. Despite better judgement and the odds of getting rained on, Rikard Colby had powered up in the stairwell of his apartment building before heading up to the roof. The air had a humming crackle to it and if he could he would have tapped right into that natural energy and drained it, certain that one zap would be all the Negaverse would need to meet his quota for the month at this rate. Head tilting skyward he summoned a black elastic band out of the pocket that he kept his com-crystal in, sweeping his hair back off of his shoulders and into a quick ponytail before heading out into the night. He wasn't sure where the hunt would take him this time, but it certainly wouldn't be anywhere near his home.

Penthesilea glanced up at the sky, frowning. She wondered if she ought to worry more about making herself a lightning rod - after all, she'd discovered a fondness for tall spaces, and there was certainly metal on her uniform.
Ah well, it wasn't as if evil was likely to take the night off just because of a little storm. She hopped from the roof of the building she was on to the street, opting to walk there instead. She hoped, at least,t hat a Chaos aura would appear soon, because she really needed something to do. Or something to kill, really. That would be an excellent improvement to her evening, since she was pretty sure there was going to be a storm and getting wet was not high on her list of priorities.

Truth be told, he had a habit of not scanning an area for signatures; not feeling for what was out in front of him. He might subconsciously touch on a blip here or there, but as he jumped down off of the roof of his building only to land on the next he paid little mind that he was heading right for a senshi. He continued on that path, enjoying the charge in the air just as much as he was the freedom of being active in the open space. Even without collecting energy or snatching starseeds, it was a good night to be a powered individual in Destiny City.

Penthesilea picked up her pace when she realized the Negaverse agent was close, and then a quick roof jump carried her to directly in front of him. The red-headed girl grinned, hands resting on her hips and every inch of her stance completely confident.
"Having a good evening so far?" She asked, a heavy New Orleans accent coloring her words. Whatever the answer, she intended to ensure his turned for the worst.

His brows lofted in surprise as the senshi landed in front of him, but he didn't take to the offensive immediately, nor did he make any sudden moves to defend himself. Instead he stepped back, letting his eyes drift over her in an attempt to discern her sphere just by looking at her fuku. He flashed her a smile as he took a step back, bringing his hands up, empty, to gesture at the air crackling with the static of the impending storm around them. "On a night light tonight? The only thing that can make it better is company, darling, and you seem to have gotten that covered for me. Do you have a name?"

She cocked her head to the side, considering. He didn't seem overly afraid of her - perhaps not that surprising, since he was stronger, but a mistake as far as she was concerned.
"Sailor Penthesilea. Senshi of War." Her stance shifted slightly, to something much easier to attack from. She wondered if he'd take warning from her sphere, or if he'd assume some sort of irony made War unlikely to attack.

His lack of immediate fear came less from the perceived difference in their power levels and more from the fact that he was used to being able to talk his way out of a fight. His weapon, even as a Captain, wasn't nearly as powerful as others and he would have been a complete fool to not know where his strengths lay. "Captain Richterite." He returned a name in kind once she provided her own and he likely would have held out a hand had she not shifted her stance. Instead he sighed, all but rolling his eyes as his shoulders fell. "Do we really have to do this tonight, dear? We've only just met... Usually girls don't try to hit me until they've gotten to know me a bit better. I don't suppose you're the reluctantly named War sort, are you..."

"Yeah, sorry, we hafta do this," Penthesilea said, and then she grinned and lashed out with a leg sweep, attempting to open by taking him off his feet. The quicker he was on the ground, the quicker she could try to crush her opponent's throat or something like that.
Speed, power, efficiency.
