The Party had definitely not been the right time and place to catch up, but she was back and it was clear they needed to talk. Something had happened, something that had... rewound time, erased scars and haircuts and all sorts of who knew what. Whatever had happened to him to land the key implanted in his palm was nothing compared to whatever had happened to Sasha and he had a million questions.
He had given it a couple days before finally hurrying down the hall to where he hoped Sasha was still staying. What about Wash? Who else had stayed behind? It felt so long ago they had gone on that mission the whole thing was a blurr. It was too bad he was terrible about mission reports.
He knocked nervously, glancing up and down the hall warily.

There was a startled sound, feminine in nature, and the quick thud of footsteps before the door swung open just the slightest crack.
"Jerry." Sasha hadn't been expecting company, but there was a slight tinge of relief in her voice as she opened the door wide enough to reach out so that she could pull the Sun into her room.
There hadn't been any sign of Wash when she'd come back to the room - it had been difficult to get used to being alone, but after having been gone for five months, she wasn't sure anything would be the same.
She immediately closed the door once Jerry was secured in the room.
"I've been gone for five months, Jerry."

"Yes, yes, I noticed!!" He managed after a surprised yelp as he was dragged in. "I... I was locked up for at least two of those months, if it makes you feel better..." It probably didn't. "What... what on Earth happened? After I was out, I asked them about it but they just turned me away! I... I probably should have spoken to H, but-" He babbled. "I'm... I'm really glad to see you're alright. More than alright by the look of you."

Sasha's brow furrowed. He'd been locked up for two months? "In Scotland? You were locked up in Scotland?"
She had to bite back sick, garbled laughter.
"Somehow I was taken out of my body and place into the body of my cousin. This body isn't mine, and you have to believe me." Stranger things had happened, after all.
"I was saved by some sort of creature who took me into this cavern." Sasha started pacing, long curls trailing after her, unbound. "There was a door with locks of different colors - and so many dead life hunters."

"No, no the Life labs later... I have um. I had some... some memory gaps and I KNOW I"m not the only one but-" It didn't matter, it was unrelated to the greater concern. "Your... your cousin's body?" He hesitated, "But... wait, when I left, we saw you- this happened after Dylon and I headed out?" The mention of a creature and all of the locks made his skin crawl nervously, lifting his fist to his chest, "Did you find out anything about the key?"

Sasha did laugh then, an ugly sound.
"That wasn't me. That wasn't me, that wasn't me."
She paused.
"Things are still foggy. I remember going to try and get rope to help you and Dylon. That was me. After that, it was her - and I don't know where she is, but she's inside of me walking around somewhere."
Sasha ran her hands through her hair, slightly dragging her nails along her scalp.
"My family - the Delacroix - have been responsible for keeping the door shut. Locked. Protectors of sorts, I guess. We guard the prisoner's sleep. The locks were colored."
She paused to peer at Jerry.
"I was gone for five months, but only four days passed for me. Maybe five. Maybe six - but not five months."

Jerry fell quiet, staring at his palm as he thought this over, and heavily sat on the foot of her bed. "Were... there seven? Locks I mean."

"There was this old women..." He made a sharp, bitter laugh, "And you know me. She gave me this. Said something about a him down below. And... and seven keys."

"That place..." Sasha shuddered and shook her head. "I don't know. I was told that she would find me, or that Cairt - it saved me - would find her."
Sasha closed her eyes and inhaled sharply before blearily opening her eyes again.
"It's stuck in your hand?"

"Who would find you? The old woman?" Jerry grimaced, flexing his fingers as he traced the lines of the key imprinted there. "Yeah it was just... this iron key and... I don't know, I didn't know any of this, I just thought it would be important to bring back, you know? So... I picked it up. And then it just.... burnt its way in. They took X-rays in the labs. It's..." He shook his head, "What do you think is locked up down there?"

"No, Viviane. The one who did this," she gestured at her body in disgust.
Sasha moved to sit on the rumpled bed, obviously agitated.
"I don't know what's locked down there. Something dangerous. Something very dangerous. Something being kept prisoner, but I don't know what. All I know is that some sort of guardian was woken, and I have no idea what that means."
She thought about her conversation with the Doctor, then shook her head in irritation.

Jerry was silent for a short while, still trying to digest everything. "Did... did you find Nona? At least?" It was a lot to hope, considering she had lost her body in the process. "I'm... I'm sorry I left. I truly thought- I didn't realize she wasn't- that it wasn't you... I thought after what happened- If I had known that WASN'T you, I never would have left-"

"I did, but I can't hear her. She's quiet, I feel empty, I don't know what happened while she wasn't in my care." Sasha watched Jerry closely, looking exhausted and a little haunted. "I know you wouldn't have. I'm... I feel as though each time I figure myself out, something else changes and I'm left feeling more lost and confused than I was before."

"I... I can't even imagine. I mean... your cousin's..." He couldn't even say it, and so he merely tried his best to smile weakly, reaching for her hand gently. "But... but you're back now, we can rally the troupes and... and set things right!"
He gave her fingers a squeeze before turning his hand over again to stare at the key branded there. "And as for this... I suppose... I just have to protect it."
