What the heck? I'M A HARDCORE ATLA FAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the show! I'm 12-year-old girl and I know two other girls that are both 12 and 13 who love the show too! My neighbor's mom from VA liked the show and she did too [my neighbor]. So did her brother, but he wasn't a hardcore fan. STUPID CREATORS!!!!!!!!!! GIRLS LIKE THIS SHOW!!!!!!!

#1 cause is probably Zuko or Sokka or Aang

Even one of the nick.com forum mods (nickmare) is a mom and likes AVATAR. It's like saying Hello Kitty is for boys! Or Naruto is for 5 year olds! We should go to nick.com and complain!

that is so sexist i am a 15 year old girl and i am hard core avatar it's my fav. show i never miss an episode. if you all make up a petition or something to stand up to them i sure will sign. my 2 best friends are 16 and 17 year old girls and they are hard core atla fans. i know about 3 adult women and 5 14yr olds who r hard core fans it's not fair

Ehh, I don't really see the problem.
The show was aimed to please that group. They know others will/do enjoy it as well. I mean, I wouldn't argue so much to have the toy description changed so that all of the "boys" become "kids" or "fans" instead. If that's what this is all about... did I miss something bigger?

XD I don't think the article meant to give off that
kind of message.
I think it was just trying to sell its product
and perhaps a majority of the show's veiwers
are young boys.
I mean, most girls that age are watching WITCH
or stuff like that,
while most teenagers actually watch MTV and the OC
and adults watch the news, CSI and the SciFi channel.
^Extreme generalizations^

Believe me, I teach 5th grade Sunday School and when the kids are
good, I let them watch Avatar on my Ipod.
All of the boys crowd around and only two or three of the girls.

A majority of it's viewers are probably young boys,
but they just can't voice their opinions on the internet.
