>Rules<

►~ First rule, always have fun.
►~ No godmoding. If it feels over powered, it probably is. Don't take control of something that's not yours. Or be sure to ask if it's alright to perform a certain type of prank that might cause harm to another Pockettu.
►~ Have a sense of humor.
►~ Chiyoko loves pranks, but no way will she find pranks that causes serious harm or trauma funny. Be prepared for the consequences if you do.
►~ The goddess will not tolerate anyone who plays pranks to purposely cause chaos, fights or wars.

Chiyoko slowly walks up, paper umbrella draped over her shoulder, twirling lightly. Stopping, she gives a courteous bow, wispy tails swaying softly behind her. Smiling gently, she lowered herself to sit onto her knees, placing the umbrella down in front of her and slipping her hands into her sleeves. "Konnichiwa, ogenki desu ka? Oh, I am sorry, what I had meant to say was... Hello, how are you? I guess you wish to know more about me?"

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Chiyoko is the oldest deity, not in the sense of how long she has been around, but in the sense of age. She is wise and proud, but has a mysterious, mythical air about her. She is a regal lady with a noble demeanor, with a high sense of honor and respect.

Although she is a neutral goddess, and doesn't truly pick an alignment, she is usually rather sweet and generous. She is loving, patient and loyal to those who gets close to her. On the other hand, she can be rather spiteful, snarky, and well, a b***h, when she is upset, insulted or disrespected, even when someone she cares for is insulted or disrespected. She does not tolerate rudeness or any form of disrespect and will not hesitate to put one in their place for doing so.

Chiyoko has another side to her that some like, others do not. This side is a mischievous side. She loves playing harmless tricks and pranks on others, mostly for the sheer amusement of it. Her tricks will almost never harm anyone unless she wishes it so, usually this unfortunate fate is reserved to those who have said or done something to deserve it. Because of her pranks, many find her untrustworthy, but she is not phased by it. If they do not have a sense of humor, she will not worry herself over it and let them believe what they wish of her.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Likes: Playing tricks, children, snuggling, playing kitsune-ken, aburage (fried sliced tofu), azukimeshi, rice, sweet red beans, and Inari-zushi (Type of sushi named for Inari that consists of rice-filled pouches of fried tofu)
Dislikes: Rudeness, disrespect, brats or spoiled children, dogs
Powers: Enhance agility, empathy, shape-shifting, will o'wisps, creating illusions.
What she blesses: Tails (if none are present) or extra tails, ears, will o'wisps, random colors/edits (small).

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Chiyoko's shrine takes its residency on the top of a forest covered mountain in the Pockettu Realm. Quiet and serene, the ancient trees provide a peaceful respite for creatures, spirits, youkai (demons), and travelers alike. On this mountain side, there is an old dirt trail and when the incline gets too steep, stairs start to weave and guide through the trees, up to where the shrine is located. Many places to rest litter the trail and stairs since it is a long trek up.

Upon finally reaching the peak, one would see a large, bright orange torii of the shrine's gateway. At their base, stone statues, the shape of foxes with many tails. Stepping past the shinto gate, one would walk down the omote-sando and gaze out into a vast courtyard dotted with statues, buildings and bonzai plants around it. Off to one's left is a small pagoda housing the chozuya fountain, where one can wash their face and hands, and a bit further down, on each side of the omote-sando, are stone lanturns called toro. The omote-sando diverges into many different paths that lead to different destinations. Following the left sando, one would eventually find themselves at a zen garden. Following the right sando will eventually lead to a small dojo and a few barracks, just a little beyond that are the setsumatsushas dedicated to her demi-gods and goddesses. Along the way, one would also come across the ema, shamusho, follower's houses as well as the kagura-den.

If one were to continue down the omote-sando, they will come to the haiden, the main place of worship, which is protected by more of the fox statues that were seen at the torii. The building is large and intricate and ornately designed. It is here where worship happens, where announcements are made, general meetings occur, as well as where one would request to join the shrine, among other uses. Behind the haiden, connecting to a shrine further behind it is the heiden, a hall of offerings, where gifts and such are given and placed.

The shrine in which the heiden connects the haiden to is the honden. It is here where Chiyoko, herself, resides. This is where she has her own respite, meditate, sleep and many other personal duties. The honden is generally off-limits to most of her followers with exception to a few, when permission is given, or when something important comes up.

Chiyoko's shrine in whole is well-kept and a peaceful place for anyone to visit.

>Ranks<

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Within the shrine and those who inhabit it, there are ranks and positions within those ranks. In Chiyoko's shrine, there are six ranks in total, titled by tail numbers.

Note: The number of tails mentioned in the ranks, by no means, are a requirement number of tails a follower must have to be a part of said rank or position. A follower can have one or no tails and still fall into a position under the Five-tail rank

Six-tails:
This is the highest rank possible and is reserved to a select few.

Mate- This position is pretty self-explanatory. Chiyoko's mate is automatically second in command. They should be respected as one would respect Chiyoko. Followers can come to him for direction if Chiyoko is occupied with other things.

Chiyoko's Children- Any children of Chiyoko and her mate are next in command after herself and her mate.

Demi-God/desses- Fourth in command are the Demi-gods and Demi-goddesses. They do not have as much say as Chiyoko's mate or children, but still can give orders and be sought out in the place of Chiyoko.

Children of Demi-god/desses- Lastly are the children of the Demi-god/desses. They rank close to their parents, being just a little lower, but just as important.

Five-tails:
This is the second highest rank, and the highest that general followers can usually reach.

Commanders- This is the highest rank that Warriors can attain with enough training and proving of oneself. Commanders usually lead up to three troops, each with two Generals and ten Warriors.

Monks- Monks are the spiritual mediators of the shrine. They are one of the few allowed in the honden. They pray to Chiyoko for those who are too shy to ask for the goddess themselves, as well as divulge messages, words of hope and other things of the sort to the other followers when Chiyoko or Six-tail members cannot do it.

Peacekeepers- Just like their name implies, they are around to maintain order within the shrine. If there are problems among the followers, these Pockettu are where they should be taken to. It is only when the Peacekeeper cannot quell the problem, that it should be taken to someone higher rank or Chiyoko.

Four-Tails:
This rank lies comfortably in-between the higher ranks and the lower ranks.

Generals- This is the next position a Warrior can achieve if they prove their merit. They usually answer to one Commander, but will have up to ten Warriors under their duties to delegate and train.
Note: Other Pockettu other than the Blessed Generals are allowed to take this position

Healers- The title is self-explanatory of what this rank is and does. They are followers with the gift to heal, whether by first aid or by natural gifts and powers. These also include what those would call doctors and nurses for when others got/get sick.

Guards- This rank is given to the followers, usually previous or current Warriors, who decide to take on the defensive rather than the offensive. It is these followers that patrol the borders of the territory and defend against hostile intruders. The Guards co-operate with the Scouts, Warriors, Generals, and Commanders. Among the Guards can also be troops that consist of their own Commanders, Generals and Warriors specially suited for defense.

Three-Tails:
Another rank that lies in-between the highest and lowest ranks.

Warriors- Warriors are followers who enroll themselves to fight. They can be used to guard the shrine, fight for the shrine and so on. If a Warrior proves themselves devout, strong and loyal, they may be promoted to General and, possibly, eventually Commander.

Scout- A Scout is one who patrols the boundaries of the shrine, on the look out for visitors, those who are lost, and hostile intruders, among other things. When any of these are spotted, they report it to the appropriate position such as Spirit Kits, Guides, Generals, Commanders or Chiyoko herself.

Spirit Kits- Spirit Kits are Chiyoko's special creation, made to be companions when one is lonely, a playmate when one wants to play, to be there when one is sad and so on. If a Spirit Kit wishes, they can enlist themselves in a higher or lower rank if they are eligible, but will still be seen as Three-tailed.

Two-tails:
This is the second lowest rank that followers can be grouped in.

Guides- Guides are followers who go out and patrol the mountain and forest for lost souls, spirits and Pockettu to lead them to safety, whether that is back to where they came, to a trail, or to the shrine. Guides must know their way around the mountain and forest and must have the durability to scale the mountain to and fro.

Messengers- The follower(s) that choose to convey letters and so on to and from others are Chiyoko's messengers. Like Guides, they must have the knowledge of their surroundings as well as the durability. If it is dangerous, or if the messenger wishes, they may be escorted by a Warrior.

Scribes- Scribes are followers who record a variety of things, from messages from Chiyoko, historical writings, treaties, new typological discoveries, and so on.

One-tail:
This is the lowest and most general rank followers are a part of. This is where most start out as.

Kits- Kits refers to the basic followers that either choose or do not qualify to be any other position. This does not make them any less important to Chiyoko though.

Errand runners- Just as the name implies, errand runners are followers that go out for supplies or any other needs that other positions or Chiyoko might need.

Shrine keepers- Shrine keepers are followers who provide maintenance and upkeep to the shrine, keeping it looking its best and clean.

>How to join<

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

After learning about the Goddess and the positions in the shrine, one wishes to know how to become a part of the shrine. Well, this is how.
First of all, being the Goddess of Kitsunes, of course she'll accept kitsunes and foxes, but other than those, these are they types of Pockettu she will accept:
•Wolves
•Coyotes
•Spirits
•Demons
•Regular Pockettu
•Rarely, she will accept dogs

Next thing one needs to know is that Chiyoko is a neutral Goddess. Shei is neither good or evil, joins no side, nor show bias to anyone. Pranks and tricks can be played on both, the good and the bad. Now, she would prefer those who are equally unbiased, but that does not mean she will not accept an evil or good Pockettu, just as long as they are not purely good or purely evil and do not cause chaos among the ranks with their beliefs and morals.

Though rare, there is a chance she will decline a request.

Here is what you post to ask to join:

Pockettu: (Link to Pockettu)
Position wanted: (Cannot ask for Mate. Commanders and Generals are okay with good reason)
Reason for wanting to join: (Don't just put the Pockettu's personality, actually put why they would want to join)
Do they have a sense of humor: (You will not get rejected for putting no, Chiyoko's just curious)

>Ema (Blessings)<

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

In the midst of the shrine, there is a small post with a board. On this board, a note is tied, where it is written:

"Welcome to the Ema, or prayer-bearer. Here is where ones blessings or curses are requested.

What one needs to know before posting a request:
-This is not where one requests a breeding with the Goddess or to be her mate.
-Be aware of the breeding rules. (Rules can be found on another note).
-Because one applies, does not mean it will be accepted."

Beside the first note, hangs another that reads:

"Breeding rules
Chiyoko does not hinder love, nor does she look down on those who do not wish to settle. She neither cares of the gender her followers wish to be with. With that aside, there are still some things to abide by.
Firstly, there will be no breedings with Cursed what so ever. If it is discovered that a breeding has occurred, the Pockettu that took part of the breeding will immediately be ejected from the shrine.
Next, there will be no breedings with followers of God/desses on the disapproved list (see below), without legitimate reasoning. First time offenses will garner a warning, but multiple occurrences will result in expulsion from the shrine.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Approved and disapproved Gods and Goddesses
Approved:
►Venezia- A newly made ally. Time will develop this more, but Chiyoko's followers are free to breed with the Carnival god's followers if they so wish.

Disapproved:
►Tyche- While the Goddess is not personally against the God, it just seems that the God does not care for his followers to associate with her or her followers and just thought it would be wise to appease to the God's wishes than to cause trouble between the two of them.

>Her Mate<

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Although a trickster at heart, the one thing her heart won't trick is love. She will give out many blessings, but breeding with her requires a special Pockettu to capture her heart and to call her own.

Here is his own special shrine, dedicated to him.

>No one yet<

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Do you think you can be Chiyoko's mate? The apply here and try your luck.

Specifications and Rules
1. Chiyoko is a neutral goddess and while she will accept a mate that leans a little more good or evil, she will not tolerate them trying to sway her one way or the other.
2. The courter must be male, she is straight.
3. The courter does not have to be from her shrine. She will accept anyone who applies within reason.
4. The courter does not have to be another deity. They can also be a Demi-god, Blessed General, Limited (depending), or even a regular Pockettu.
5. They must be dedicated to wooing only her once the application is accepted. Chiyoko will not tolerate the wooing of others while one is trying to garner her affections.
6. Once successful in becoming Chiyoko's mate, they will have to be fiercely loyal to her and their children. The followers in the shrine should be second priority unless something important is at hand.

Read the specifications? Do you feel that you could qualify? If you feel you are ready, fill out the form below and post it when applications say they are open. If you are lucky and persistent, you will be chosen and eventually take part in a kitsune no yomeiri or a kitsune's wedding during a sunshower, where rain falls on a clear day.
