Anyone know anything more about this than the lexicanum does?

Maybe theories?

Or is this just a fumble in the dark?

For those who dont follow I am talking about the II and XI legions who have no known primach and are not mentioned as if they commited some kind of crime agains the imperium before the Horus Heresy in M31.

They're mentioned and hinted at in some of the horus heresy books as being something not to talk about and that they were destroyed by the space wolves.

So thats pretty much it?

I read on the lexicanum that they were absorbed into the Ultramarines after the primarchs did something.

I was just hoping for more I guess.

Thanks for the reply.

I'll have to ask the bloke with the books, but from what I recall they've been treating it like a big shameful secret as to what happened.

Understandable, I just enjoy cracking open secrets and things like that. But I guess this is a lost cause. Unless I can gain access to the Black Library somehow.

I think originally it was just a deliberate gap for players to come up with their own, but I'm sure there are more details out there.

Both Primarchs have been killed on order of the Emperor. As to why or what happened to their legions, it is alluded to that the Space Wolves are responsible for the annihilation of at least one of the legions.

Chances are, Chaos did it.

Yea, thought it happened when the primarchs where snitched from the gene lab.

Chaos always does it. wink

From the First Heretic:

The squad of Word Bearers who were sent back in time when going through the Eye of Terror unprotected are the ones who break the seals and allow the pods to be sucked into the warp.

Argal Tal is the one who does it, with his distinctly crimson blades, something alluded to in Horus Rising by Horus, who visits the chamber himself at that moment while near death, seeing what appear to be daemons lashing out with red swords at the machinery.
