Grettings to all in the blessed name of Jesus!
What goes through most of our minds, when we are deep in the grip of sickness or sudden turmoil?
I suspect, most of us ask "Why me Lord?"
We need to remember the difference between what God does for us and what the sinful world we live in drags us into.
For example, we can't blame God for what we get ourselves into and we can't doubt that God will see us through every challenge that comes our way.
The Lord commands us to do some things.
Here are some wise words about God's commands from the Book of Ecclesiastes 12:13,
Let us hear the conclussion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
We can be certain that what God commands or calls us to do; He will always enable and empower us with the things we need to succeed. We
simply have to look at the Book of Philippians 4:13 for His promise.
Phil. 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
Even when things come out of nowhere to hinder us, God is always ready to provide us with comfort, courage, endurance, and all of the things necessary to achieve victory.
Pastor John Hagee, out in San Antonio, once did a series on God's Promises and Provisions.
Hagee pointed out that sometimes we face problems between the promise and realizing that God is providing us with the fruits of our faith.
David Jeremiah tells us that with every command God gives us, He has already given us the things we need to be obedient. He also points out that with every promise God makes to us. He gives us the faith to see that promise fulfilled.
So then, how should we conduct ourselves in our daily walk with God as we seek to obey His commands and wait patiently on seeing His promises become realities?
It's simple really.
Walk by faith daily and not by sight.
When storms come, weather them with the knowledge that God's faithfull people will always prevail.
Here is what King David wrote in Psalms 36:8, They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.
May God continue to brighten our darkest days and lighten our heaviest loads and supply our every need.
May we, in turn, honor God with all that we say and do.
