Name: Lucijah (loo-TSEE-yah)
Race: Shifter
Gender: Female
Class: Prentice > Guard > Massif > Brute
3 Base Traits: Spirited, Boisterous, Selfless
Personality: Lucijah is... a bit of a loose canon. She feels emotion quite keenly, and reacts to it with the whole of her being - for better and for worse. If she feels sympathetic to someone, Luc will do everything in her power to help that person - even if that puts herself at risk. If she's angry, Luc will often resort to violence - her actions are often done in the heat of the moment. Because of her quickness to bow to her emotions Luc often doesn't realize the effects of her actions, and often fails to think far into the future regarding the fallout.

Despite being a selfless person, you could say Luc is selfless for selfish reasons. Her ultimate fear is to be left alone, and because of this she'll often shower those close to her with gifts, both because she wants to take care of them and because she doesn't know how else to garner their affections.

That being said, in a neutral mood Luc tends to operate with a bubbly enthusiasm and happiness. She doesn't have any grand schemes or plans for the future, although she has the spirit of adventure and does quite like the idea of traveling. For now she stays close to home, with her parents.

Perhaps because of her one-track mind and somewhat short attention span, those she meets tend to think she's simpleminded or a fool. This isn't the case, as Luc is very adept at hunting, climbing, and fighting. She's good with her hands, although her inability to sit and think things through sometimes leads to injuries. She also enjoys fighting for fighting's sake, and this violence does not always come across as seemly to new people.

Description: LUC As a shifter Luc should be drawn dark skinned. Her ears are long and sharp, and she has large eyes and large lips. She has large breasts and somewhat muscled arms. Her hair is thick and pulled back into a band, tied into three ponytails. In length the ponytails fall to her shoulderblades, and are sectioned each into three parts, tied with blue stones. ((I know I drew it so it looks like dreads, but they aren't - the hair is straight and brushed, not dreaded ))

Stone wise Luc has large teardrop gem in the middle of her forehead, beneath each eye, on each shoulder, and on her sternum. She has spherical crystals under her eyes (on either side of the teardrop one), speckled along her shoulders, and three in descending shape along each clavicle.

Her arms, torso, legs, and fingers should have some scars - not anything horrifying, but she does have a tendency to get herself hurt. Most of these should be faded, but there would be more fresh scarring, bruising, or scrapes on her knuckles.

Clothing: (please don't use the clothing from the reference) Luc wears shorts (yellow) with a thick belt (brown), and a small skirt in the back part of her shorts (blue). TOP The top is a turtlenecked shirt, without sleeves, but cut at the ribs to show her naval. Bandages wrapped around her knuckles, like a boxer would.

Accessories: Just the stones in her hair.

History: Really there's nothing especially different or even special about Luc's life. Her parents had an arranged marriage - her mother moved from Neued, where she grew up, to marry and start a family in Sol. Despite the fact they have a loveless union, Luc's parents are still close and respect one another dearly. Growing up Luc was caught between two differing opinions - her mother felt it was best to retreat into the forests of Jahaur and stay far away from the other races, while her father had an adventurous spirit (which he shares with Luc) that is intrigued with the new lands and its people.

The largest hurdle Luc has had to face is her own violent emotions and tendency for thoughtless action. She often lands on the wrong side of her other shifters, especially her mother and those like her. Somehow a violence prone Shifter with lack of forethought can come across as threatening in a society carefully tiptoeing all out war with a neighboring people. Being the source of many of her family's arguments, about whether or not to retreat deeper into the forest in order to avoid instigating fights with earthlings or Alkidike has left Luc yearning to strike out from home and find a place of her own, while also reducing her to a certain fragility she never thought she would fall to.

Scarlett Arbuckle

First off, just so it's perfectly clear since this is a fairly new rule, you already have two quest characters, so you would have to have two event (or bred) characters before you could get another quest character.

With that said. You can still have your quest critiqued so it's ready to go later, but you will not be able to get her approved until you've met the other requirements.

Alright, now onto the critique. As always, I start with the looks and move into the harder stuff. First: shifter ears are not long like that. They are almost human sized, but tipped at the end of them. Besides that, the rest of her looks good and I like her hairstyle :]

Her personality seems fun and quirky and I always like a character who's overly emotional. Her history seems a little short though, and somewhat vague. What is Luc's parents relationship with each other? It was a loveless union arranged by their parents (I assume) so what transpired in order for them to have Luc? Was it pressure on her mother's part to perform as a wife in the eyes of her own parents? Or something else?

Does Luc know that they do not lover each other? How does Luc feel knowing that her parents had her out of obligation (or whatever the case is) in comparison to the children around her?

How does Luc handle fights between her parents when they're about her? How does she react or calm herself down?

What is her relationship like with her grandparents? (since she is the result of an arranged marriage)
