History: Nikolai comes from the same hold as Natai but they wouldn't have known each other. His family was mostly branched out and he as the youngest of 4 brothers was the last to be "kicked out" as his mother playfully referred to it. His oldest brother is a forge master up on the main continent at Rutha Hold. Nikolai's second oldest brother is a fisherman at Eren Hold while his third and fourth oldest siblings are a healer apprentice and a runner apprentice.

Nikolai has always has a slight fascination with building things. Whether it was out of sticks and mud as a child or out of sticks and mud as a teen, he was always interested in how things were built and made. As the youngest to his already older parents, he was alittle less coddled. After all 4 boys was enough to know that the 5th might be alittle less paid attention to. But that was fine with him. He preferred to be running around and getting into as much trouble as he could, though he tended to frequent the resident stone smith's workshop more than anything. Seeing the way they heated and used metal as well as building and making new houses really showed Nikolai what he wanted to do. And while paper wasn't much for being available, he did draw out his own designs to houses and buildings on anything he could. Most often as a child and teen, in the loose dirt around.

When he grew of age, he was sent to Telgar and he really hated that cold feeling of Between. He spent the next few years working towards his craft and he was finally promoted to journeyman. He was allowed to return to his home for a small absence of leave when he heard about the new Weyrhold. With permission to start building there he hopes to be able to help make the hold great.
Description: Nikolai is about an average height of 5'10. He has dark brown hair that is bleached slightly by the sun from living on the southern continent so there are streaks of some blond in it. His eyes are an earth brown and his skin is naturally tan, though it can be quite pale for being inside working. He has a few scars on his hands from carving on stone but other than that he is quite handsome for a slightly older male. His body has grown from its beginning lanky teenage state to more of a solid male, his upper body gaining the muscle necessary for lifting and carrying heavy stones and carving into the thick stone and using pressure on the hot metal of his craft.
Personality: Even though he picked a very serious craft, he is more a charmer. His body may have become larger from hauling heavy stones and putting his strength into his work, he is more a softie on the inside and isn't lacking of a sense of humor. Growing up with 5 older brothers, he has only really gotten to know his 3rd and 4th brothers. His 2 oldest brothers were already working with his family and around the hold before they were fostered out and with a 3 year gap between each other them. Only the other two were close enough in his age to want to hang out with a child. So they grew up very close and usually would play or work together where they could. Though many times they would result in more joking and play fighting than actual working...

When his brothers were fostered out or sent to their respective learning holds, he was left alone and suffered some for it. He was always closer to his brothers than to anyone else and without them it was a bit lonely. he wasn't never that hard at making friends, but he did miss the closeness of his family.

It wasn't much long after that he started to really work at the craft he wanted to be at. planning buildings and working at what he wanted to do. After that and a few more years he was sent to Telgar which was a whole new experience. He was given some dirty looks for his less serious nature in working but he didn't mind them and brushed off any small insults. After all it was a dream come true. So he dealt with the insults and worked hard until he walked the tables to be a Journeyman.

Obviously if you come here you're going to need a base of operations. Describe your ideal workshop, you can use words or illustrations or both: ((Will include a picture soon)) A building built from wood logs and whatever stone may be found and possibly moved. Only maybe a head higher than the average man's height stands the ceiling and it's filled with piles of stone sit to one side of the workshop while another pile waits outside. Wood is piled in another corner to be focused on when needed. Plans for more buildings sit on a table next to a small bed and hearth for warmth while working. High windows with shutters to show outside and let in lots of light during the daylight but to be careful many torches line the walls to see the plans in detail. Would probably be a small walk away from the forge and whatever logging building if there is one.
