Winter was Hysteria's favorite time of year. It seemed unusual considering her circumstances, but being on fire had its disadvantages. She was overheated in the summer, constantly lighting leaves on fire in the fall, and always covered in rain in the spring. Winter was the perfect dry mix of cold, quiet and coincidentally, her flames were just fine.
The one downside to having fire is creatures would flock to her as if she were friendly. They considered her this furnace of sorts so they could reap the benefits. What did they ever do for her? Absolutely nothing. So the mare found no reason to help these strangers that annoyed her constantly. She had been a loner her entire life, and even though her fire drew others to her at first, in the end it always drove creatures away from her.
What kept her sane were the memories of her parents and her sisters. It had been some time since she had seen them, but she knew they were always with her deep inside, and she was blessed to have her heritage to cherish.
On this chilly day she was just leaving the forest and felt some nervousness to approaching an open passageway. There were a few forests she enjoyed visiting and walking through, but they always had a mask of open land in between them. She sighed while watching with a keen eye on who could be near. She was always ready for the worst case scenario- that was just her personality.
