Barely a camp before the Reaper Wars, Urdnot now stands as the currently official capital of Tuchanka. After the cure to the genophage spread throughout the world and the reapers suffered their defeat, the Krogan began to repopulate their endangered race. But as their numbers rose quickly in a matter of decades it was apparent that their current establishments were not suitable for all their newborn. Clan Urdnot was forced to centralize themselves enough to establish an official government that could properly confront the council for help. Eventually the council agreed to fund their cause with only a few restrictions. The krogan population is under close watch as every birth must be recorded, ensuring that their numbers do not rise too high. It was also settled that Tuchanka's system was to remain a demilitarized zone, meaning that even today the krogan are not allowed to establish any form of organized military presence within their system. These precautions were all voted for throughout various decades of debate within the Citadel as people feared an event similar to the Krogan Rebellions.
Although Urdnot does not rival the average Earth or Thessian metropolis, the city is still massive enough to hold the krogan's incredible population burst. It features a re-imagining of ancient krogan architecture with a touch of salarian strutting. Not many aliens would find much enjoyment within Urdnot as the krogan concentrated more on building establishments closer to their culture. Arenas, Blood Pack stations, varren rings, and training grounds replace any hopes for fancy restaurants and nightclubs, however some museums are present throughout the city that showcase recovered krogan artistry from ancient times.
