this.PersonalityAku has always been a nonconformist, and doesn't like to be told what to do. He has quite a bit of patience, however, as shown through his years of slavery. He is a devout follower of Kestali, and hates all followers of Ssa. He is very unforgiving, and does not tend to like people in general. His only goal in life is to punish those who have wronged him. He loves animals, in contrast to humans, which is why he has two animals living with him.
HistoryAku's name at birth was Driseyl Xun, but as a child, he had problems pronouncing it, so he simply called himself Aku. His family eventually followed suit, as Aku refused to call himself by his given name. He and his family were originally part of a nomad tribe, but the tribe was encountered by a band of slave traders from Cissilith when he was 24 years old. They killed every nomad in the tribe that resisted, to the point where Aku and a few older members of the tribe, all of which died soon after from the burdens of slavery.
Aku, in his slavery, was forced into killing many members of families that were threatening the power of the family he was enslaved to. He hated it, but he had no choice in the matter: it was either kill or be killed. He has now been in slavery for 60 years, hating every moment of it. He has, due to his awful slavers, become a liar, a thief, and a murderer. He has vowed to serve Kestali in punishing the followers of Ssa for their corruptness and pure evil acts once he has escaped slavery.
One day, Aku found an owl with an injured wing. He took it in, hiding it from the other slaves as he nursed it back to health. Once it was fully healed, it stayed with him, helping him cause havoc with the higher ups without being blamed. The two of them got along very well because of this. Aku nicknamed him Pyro, because his most common type of havoc was causing fires, and Piros seemed to enjoy it quite a bit.
About six months after he had taken in Pyro, he found a snake that Pyro was about to eat. It seemed sick, so he didn't let Pyro eat it, instead taking it into the slave quarters as well. Since it would be hard to hide the two of them at the same time, he made Pyro stay outside until the snake was back to full health. The snake wouldn't leave them, so he kept it as well. Nihu, as Aku started calling her, was a very unusual snake, as she was very caring. She would slither around as Aku was doing various things for his masters, making sure that he wouldn't fall over and die. She was smart enough to avoid getting caught by Aku's masters, so he let her do as she wished.
