Akane was ready for this. Summer was nice for the first few weeks but all the idle time on your hands seems near impossible to fill, even with all the extra curricular activities there seemed to be an endless amount of time to kill. Getting immersed in her studies was just what she needed. She smiled quietly to herself as she strolled through the hall until something big moved at the edge and the girl jumped as she snapped to attention. But there was no one there. Nothing. A hard chill ran down her spine and she looked around, mildly alarmed. She could have sworn that something was there... and with the chill lingering still she was certain what ever it was still there, but where?
Then the first bell rang and she snapped to. Biology. Right, class was about to start. She tightened her hold on her umbrella and hurried down the hallway before the flood of people hit what was presently open space. Akane found her room and soon after a seat in the front row and started to get herself organized before the second bell sounded the start of class. Class started without incident and as it progressed she started to forget all about the weird presence in the hall until class wound down at the last five minutes of the class when that skin crawling feeling hit her again... hard. She started getting visibly uneasy and was easily the first one out the door when the bell announced the end of class.

The gaggel of girls lead Amai to every room with a "3" in it before she finally made her way to her biology class, 5 minutes after second bell. She tried to sneak into class, slinking around to the back of the room. But it's hard to enter a classroom unnoticed when the door is right by where the teacher is standing. "And you are?" Amai froze and took a gulp of air before turning around. "He~ey. Amai Amano. I got lost... Sorry I'm late. Now that I know where the class is it won't happen again." The teacher frowned at her and Amai's nerves sent her stomach into a rolling boil. Teachers were the scareist thing on earth. She'd rather face a rival gang alone then have that teacher staring disapprovingly at her. At least with the gang she'd go down swinging. Here.... "Make sure it doesn't. Take one of these and find a seat." "uh ha ha ha.. Thank you~" When class ended she rushed out. Only two more classes to go. "I'm not going to make it" She whined, and almost ran over her classmate in her hurry out the door.

The blonde girl from before apparently was in as much of a hurry as Akane was was the two collided just outside the door. Normally that wouldn't have happened but the raven haired girl was shaken right now and wasn't really in the present moment, and as such she wound up dropping a book and her umbrella, though she did not join her effects on the floor she nearly did. She didn't even look back to the other girl at all. She was completely intent on things so she could put as much space between her and the class room, but she still muttered an apology somewhere along the line more out of reflex really more so than concern for the other party involved in the collision.

Amai stooped to help the girl pick up her books. "Hey I should be the one apologizing. I ran into you. I just don't understand why there are so many classes. And why do I have to take Home Ec! I mean really? Cooking and sewing and...." The girl looked a little shaken. Probably not form being plowed into by her. Maybe more than a little... As she straightened to get away, Amai pulled her off to the side. "Hey. You okay? Need to see the nurse?"

Akane seems distracted still, she starts to reply "Yeah, somethings just not right, I..." she shakes her head, tossing her raven hair "It's nothing, I don't know why I'm so distracted. I guess I'm just over excited about being back in school...." she couldn't believe that to be the case but as soon as she goes off and says she feels somethings following her people are going to start thinking she's losing her mind or something. She takes a deep breath and does her best to compose herself. "Thank you for helping me get back to my feet and I appreciate your help. We should probably be getting to class, you especially. Wouldn't want a repeat performance next period would you?" She grins to her classmate a little bit.

She frowns. Why did she change what she was about to say? Something just not right? Well in her opinion the idea of school was just not right. But she doubted that's what the girl meant. Wouldn't want a repeat performance next period would you? "Ata... Yeah. Hehe, guess I should get going... 111, down a floor?" She waits for the girl to show she's right then adds "If you need someone to talk to, I can be tight lipped. I'm in single A33. Come by some time." And she hurries off to home ec.

Akane watches the other girl leave and sighs a little. It was not even a concern for her right now whether or not she was going to make it to her next class in time. she had just started to relax but it was all too soon as only a few steps into her trip to her next class something hit her hard... literally. Her feet left the ground and she hit the tile floor hard, sliding a few feet after impact. Akane gasped for air, her eyes wide open, but still there was nothing there except the heavy sound of large foot falls In front of her.
Adrenaline and panic took over now, there wasn't a rational thought in her head left. She stumbled to her feet As quickly as she could and took off for the steps. She didn't make it far before something clipped her feet and she fell head first down the stairs to the landing below. She crawled to the corner, up against the wall and she looked back up the stairs, and finally she was able to make something out, it was just a distortion in space but her gut told her to move now and luckily enough she did because right behind her the tile work spider webbed with cracks and a chunk was ripped or perhaps bitten out of the wall where she had just been leaning against moments before.
The adrenaline in her system that was overriding the pain from the battering she received was all that kept her up right as she bolted down the hallway as fast as her legs would allow, all the while those heavy foot falls and now the mild tremors that came with seemed to be closing in on her despite her best efforts. Akane slammed through the double doors and took off out into the courtyard looking around for anything or anyone that could possibly help her.

Amai left the bathroom and turned in time to watch Akane run out the doors. She frowned after her, but then the ground began to shake. Earthquake? The doors to the court yard bent and shattered. "Holy s***" she gaped for a moment before running out after the girl. She'd offered her help, and, well, now she needed it. Even if she couldn't see the enemy. "Hey! Invisible f*****! Pick on someone who can stand up for herself! Hey! SHOW YOURSELF!"

Rinoa Heartily Akane nods "My hand to hand training has all been here, but I've been getting kendo training, some with my father for a number of years now. I'm no where near as good unarmed as I am with a training sword... I've been waiting to get started with a real blade but I'm told I shouldn't be too eager to use something that comes with so much responsibility." She shrugs and opens up the door to the main hall as they carry on conversation. "They've had one ready for me for a number of years now. I've held it, but have not been allowed to swing it yet. In due time I suppose." Amai nods as they enter the main hall, heading towards the cafeteria. Hm. "How good is a sword though? I mean, they look cool. But what if you come up against someone with a gun?" She musses, pursing her lips a moment before continuing, "I suppose against a thug with a knife it'd be great. Run into enough of those. But fists and swords don't do much good against guns. They won't let you get close enough."

Lilith Ezra was being quiet in the corner of the cafeteria like she always was. She could here murmurs, just little ones. All focused on her. Her looks. Her attitude. There moods. Others moods. All bundled into one giant mess. She twitched slightly as she heard movement and felt the hatred increase. Looking up she saw a guy. Rather muscular looking boy with a small group of 'friends' around him. She instantly regretted having peperoni pizza and a carton of milk. "And so it commences" She mumbled softly in her English accent just before the boy pushed her head into the pizza and moved it around making sure stuff stuck to her face. While keeping one hand on the back of Lilith's head he picked up the milk carton and poured it over her head just as he removed his hand so he didn't get any on him. The whole crew started laughing loudly and calling her freak and other such names. The voices screaming in her head while the distant voices of the gang. A sigh escaping her lips as she had slowly grew used to all the names and voices, the Physical attacks where new. But every time some one had gone to report it she said don't. She had even turned down the help of staff who had seen it. All on the logic, If they where doing it to her some one else was not the brunt of there force. That alone kept a small glimmer behind the nearly dead eyes of Lilith. The gang must of hated that defiance every time they saw her.
"Great .. foods ruined .. again.." She mumbled in her accent. As she sat up a large smear of tomato sauce across her face was visible. The milk dripping down her hair and face causing a weird look. The gang slowly moved off laughing at there 'dominating' presence over Lilith. She was just thankful the voices had got slightly quieter. Even if her nose hurt slightly.

Akane nods to Amai in agreement "This is true, however the training isn't solely about just being able to beat people up or kill them in close combat. They also come with learning discipline and control, both over the situation as well as yourself, physically and mentally. Depending on who you talk to, more traditional martial arts training almost gets to the point of spirituality after enough time practicing. Control, discipline, and with time wisdom are my father hopes for me to gain so I can learn to control my future and become successful like he is. Besides, a fight is never all just physical advantages anyway. You said you've fought a lot right? Hasn't anyone ever out witted you to tip the scales in their favor? Maybe used the situation to their advantage? Right now I doubt that I'd be able to give you a solution to your scenario, but when the western world tried to take over the east, while they did succeed in the end, they didn't have near the advantage you might think bringing their guns into a world of sword fights." Akane smiled, proud of her heritage as they walked into the cafeteria.
"I'm in second lunch normally but I think they'll make an exception for me today." She laughed a little before looking thoughtfully around. "I don't think I know anyone in first lunch. Hmmmm..." The two hopped into the lunch line and made their way through. Akane grabbed an apple and milk to go with her salad bar selection. She waited for Amai on the other side of the checkout before looking for a table. About that time she happened to spot a female student that looked a bit worse for wear to say the least in the wake of a group of jocks and she sighed.
"Amai, far row of tables, all the way to the right in the back. Can you take my tray over there for me I'll be right there. Ok?" Akane disappears back into the food lines, practically swallowed up by the mass of shuffling hungry students.

Amai didn't know history at all really, so it was interesting to hear that a civilization had held off guns for a time with more primitive weapons. Though she supposed she had seen an unarmed group take down a few armed men with proper planning. But in that situation losses were guaranteed. Hm. Discipline and control. She had only fought to protect, defend, intimidate, destroy. Learning to fight to... become disciplined? It seemed... odd. In the cafeteria Amai was over whelmed with the amount of kids in one place. Wow, it was huge! She felt like this school must be its own little city if this was only one of three lunch shifts. She was also over whelmed with the food. "Um. Do. Do kids with free lunches have to take a different line? Or are limited in what they can get?" She felt a little embarrassed asking that, the other kids certainly had to pay for their food. She never had either way. But she was turning over a new leaf! ... Right? Once she was assured that she could have anything she wanted, as long as she only got one serving of it, she picked out pizza, corn, and a carton of chocolate milk. Her brow furrowed a little in confusion at Akane's request, but she simply shrugged and took the tray. She headed over to the directed table and saw, there was already a girl there. Again a little uncomfortable, Amai took the seat across from her. It looked like she had just come from the swimming pool, with her hair wet and dripping, her product must be coming out because it looked a little white. But her pizza also looked messed up. "Uh. You have something. Right there." She brushed a finger across her cheek to indicate the pizza sauce on Lilith.

Lilith Ezra had stayed still for a few seconds letting the milk drip as she tried to regain focus. She had resorted to breathing slower than normal and jumped a little when she heard another person sitting across from her speak. Lilith refused to reply for a good few seconds as she picked up a tissue and started to clean her face slightly. She missed a large portion of it as she focused on her nose and the line the girl had indicated. After that she let out a tiny sigh and spoke with her accent again. "Thanks" she said rather bluntly not understanding why this girl even cared. She obviously had not seen the incident or if she did was trying to be nice about it. " Why did you choose that seat.. no one normally sits there or wants to." Her eyes went back to her own pizza and she pulled a ruined slice and started to eat what was left.

Akane comes out of the lunch line and makes her way over towards the seat she sent Amai to, she had a slice of pizza on a foam tray with a carton of milk on it with a big bunch of napkins tucked under the tray. Sliding into a seat by Amai, Akane speaks with concern "Are you ok? I got you a new lunch for you, I doubt you want to finish what those jerks tried to make you start... Those guys are unbelievable." She slides the new lunch over to Lilith, hoping that she got the right toppings and milk.
