Personality: Customary of a child who has just started his Pokémon Journey, Sand sports a care-free and excitable disposition. He often sees adventure and amazement in even the simplest tasks, and loves nothing more than to throw his energy into everything he does. Unfortunately, this sometimes makes Sand come off as over dramatic. Actually, he is over dramatic. Anyone who's been with Sand for two seconds could figure that out.

Because of his youthful nature, it also makes since that Sand has been seen as naive at time. However, its not that he's actually dimwitted or anything. In fact, he does have a rather competent brain locked up under his helmet. He does know how to strategize effectively and he can use his wit when he needs too. However, his wit only really comes out on certain occasions, such as in battle. The rest of the time, he's bouncing off the walls and trying to satisfy his curiosity.

Can't you tell by looking?! I am a proud Piplup, and don't you forget it!

Nobody commands the great King Salmon! If anything, that boy serves under me!

Compared to me, he's no stronger than a newborn caterpie.

Handsome, masculine, god-like...need I go on?

Do you have any goals in mind?
Hmm...Actually...I would like to see the world. Perhaps I'll run into someone who could match my strength out there...
I-I wanna get stronger. I wanna be strong like Sand and King Salmon.

Are you afraid of anything?
King Salmon fears no man or Pokémon, no matter who they are. No one would dare oppose me.
Crowds mostly. That's why I left my flock in the first place...And lightning. Its so loud...I can't help but be scared at it.

What do you like to do for fun?
I enjoy nice swim in the ocean. The cool waters really help me to relax. That is when I'm not forced to carry that peasant.
I like to train with King Salmon. He's a good instructor...and he's really strong.

Do you like your trainer?

Yeah. He's fun to be around...and he really does seem like a good person

Do you like the other Pokémon?
Eagleheart at least has a good heart, and he makes a fine apprentice.
King Salmon may be a little...prideful, but he's good too on the inside.

King Salmon is my master...so, yes.
