Dabber stood atop the highest point of the playground, surveying the area below with great care. While a small group of babbies went about building a snowphony, he was more concerned with the cleared space and the chance for finding treasure. The snow was an interesting thing. It concealed things so easily overnight, and babby phonies were so forgetful.

There had to be something here. There simply had to be.

There was an undisturbed lump over by the sandbox, or where the sandbox might have been were it not covered in white. It certainly was nothing that had been worried with today...

He began back down the playscape, heading for this area of interest.

Spick n Span had found herself quite horrified upon finding the playground covered in snow. The streets were cleared and clean and -- she liked snow but not everywhere.

She huffed, turned and left.

It wasn't long before she returned, eyes narrowed and with a small broom -- bristles bent and missing -- that she'd found awhile back. It fit nicely in her mouth and she could levitate it for a little bit if she wanted. But where in the world to start?

It was then she saw Dabberlocks. He was coming down the hill toward her and she trotted forward to meet him.

Dabber had not seen his sister leave, much more concerned with his hunt. He did, however, notice when she returned. The little foal wasn't sure what Spick n Span had planned, but he wasn't sure a broom could handle it. Then again, it might help to brush the snow from his found treasures.

Hmm... perhaps he could ask her help.

"Hi, Span! What're you up to...?" He'd better find out before he requested any assistance. She may very well be on her own journey.

The unicorn gently set the broom on the ground, where it quickly sunk halfway in the fluffy snow. At least it would be easy to find.

"Hi, Dabber! I was going to sweep some of this snow away. There's too much of it," she answered with a nod. "What are you doing?"

"I'm going treasure-hunting."

It was a fairly common response from Dabber when it came to things like this. Treasure in the yard, on the street, between the couch cushions...

"You could help, you know. If you dust the snow off where we think it might be." Well, where he thought it might be. He was the professional when it came to the hunt. He nodded slightly at the lump by the sand box.

"Like over there, for example."

Treasure did not exactly thrill her like it did her brothers but the thought of attempting to sweep the whole playground of snow... Besides, it always felt nice to be useful to her siblings.

"I can do that," she chirped happily. She dipped her head to pick up the broom once more before following her brother's lead.

There was a noticeable lump by the sandbox that he had nodded towards. She trotted through the snow -- a warm bath would be so nice after all this -- to the sandbox and with one brief look at her brother, to confirm it was the right spot, began to carefully sweep the bristles over the fluffy snow.

Excitement mounted in Dabber's chest as the snow was slowly cleared. Ah, what could it be?! A discarded satchel? A mysterious contraption, perhaps! He watched the broom reveal first a bright blue corner, then a rounded edge and-- bah! A shovel! He already had three of those hidden under his bed, and this one was not especially unlike the rest. He sighed, mouth pushing over to one side and he surveyed the rest of the playground. Hmm, how about...

"Over there?" he asked, pointing to a smaller lump by one of the legs of the jungle gym. Phonies leaned over and lost things all the time, and they could be hard to retrieve from the wood chips...

A shovel. If only it had been a dust pan... Tidy thought as a sigh escaped the corner of her mouth. One could only hope to find such a useful tool as that.

Mouth occupied, Tidy gave an enthusiastic nod and trotted over towards the jungle gym. With a dip of her head, she began brushing away the snow covering the hidden item.

Super empathetic apologies for leaving this hanging for so long. Also sorry for the not at even a little bit good reply but hoping if I just get a reply out it'll make it easier in the long run.

Dabber followed after at first, but then thought better of it and trotted back to their uncovered shovel. He could probably help with this, right? He returned to his sister's side and tried his best to dig into the packed snow with his found treasure. Gah, it sure was heavy!

anemosagkelos
What could he find that Tidy would want? Since this is his generosity thinger. :3

The top layer had been fluffy enough for her broom to sweep the snow away but now the bristles were only dragging patterns into the hard-packed snow. With a huff, she spit out the broom. Maybe she could use the handle of it?

Dabber seemed to be having better luck with his shovel but there was still a lot of snow to be moved.

With a determined scowl, she began to dig with her hooves.

Perhaps they could find a small wooden cart that Dabber wants to fill with toys or his treasure but Tidy could put her 'cleaning' supplies in to tote around easier?

Aha, yes! That was the way to do it! Dabber was rather pleased with his sister's sudden determination to discover what there was to discover and laughed as he joined her in frantic plucking. He was pretty sure neither of them could move the snow with their magic, at least not yet.

Then it began to come into view; something small, wooden, constructed. Dabber loosed a section and pulled back to find a tiny cart. It was a bit soggy considering where it had been stuck all this time, but it was exciting. Not only was this a treasure, it was a thing to carry treasures!

"Neat!" He chimed, brushing off what remaining snow he could with his hooves.

Sounds good to me!

Wow, that method was exhausting! Tidy heaved a breath as the object was revealed. It was still quite covered in snow, so she plucked her broom from it's half covered spot. Now she could use it to clear the snow from all the nooks and crannies. In gentle motions she swept the snow away from the wooden cart.

"Wow! This could be so useful!" she chimed, grinning at her brother. Oh, her smile faltered. It was her brother's find, not hers. He'd want it to carry toys or treasures. Not brooms and dustpans and her cleaning supplies.

She quickly began to clean the other sides of the cart to cover her lapse. The sooner they go it cleaned and ready to take home, the sooner she could forget the idea of a small cart to take with her instead of running back and forth to get things.

"I know, right?!" The Dabber paused. His sister looked put-out. Huh. She hadn't been thinking of it as a treasure cart. She'd had some other idea. Nobody got that excited and then that sad if things were going to plan.

"Why?" he asked, "What would you use it for?"

The sweeping paused as she rested the broom the cart's edge. At first it appeared like she might not say anything but eventually, "I just thought it'd help carry my cleaning supplies around..." She gave an easy shrug then. "I bet your use would suit it more. There's bound to be more carts and, maybe, even wagons around."

It was a nice attempt at ambivalence anyway.

"Oh." Dabber looked down at the soggy cart, pushing his mouth all over to one side. He supposed it'd be of more use to his sister. He didn't usually go out carrying his treasure with him. Then they might be stolen!

"Well, um. You can have it."
