There would never be a warning. Dory needed to get over his hope for a knock on the door because there would never be one.
Instead all he got was a very sad Chel flopping on his stomach. "Hug me, french fry."
Yup. That was it. Hope you weren't doing anything important Dory.

Dory wasn't doing anything important.
Well, from the position of someone else, it probably didn't look like much, but Dory had spent the better half of his day reading an English book. It was slow going, but now that he was finding it easier to grasp English writing, he had been finding himself reading more.
Of course, now there was a sad Chelsea on his stomach, giving him a pathetic look that made him second guess himself. "What 'as you in a funk, Pink Ranger?" He asked her, going to ruffle the bright pink hair that he now shared part of the colour with.

Chel frowned the mighhtiest frown. "Broke up with Nevada," she glumly admitted. "I mean i don't regret it, just ... Bleh." She leaned into his petting, appreciating the affection. Dory always knew exactly how to handle her.
"She just ... I dunno, I hate sob stories, but it felt like she wanted something that i couldn't do. She kept talking about what you're supposed to do when you're in love. It was such bullshit." Chel was frowning about it even now. It wasn't fair that she was always the one who wasn't "serious" enough for anyone.
Of course, Chel didn't like venting much. "Whatcha readin' bluey?"

Giving a little 'hmmn' noise as she talked, he continued to give her his full attention, trying to understand her side of it. He personally hadn't really been in a relationship in . . . probably years. It just wasn't something he had an interest in, or really ever had in ages.
"So, basically, you did not mesh as well as you expected. A bit of a, ehh . . ." A pause, thinking. "Disconnect, non? s'Sucks, but, as long as you realized it before anyt'ing too 'eavy 'appened." He murmured finally, giving a nod of his head, before he was asked about his book, which made him look down at it.
"Ehh. Is called "The Light Fantastic." Part of 'zis big series of books. Kind of difficult, pour moi, but I like it?

Chel nodded, finding consolation in Dory's words. "It's too bad. Like ... I don't know. I'm getting tired of bein' told I'm the one who's not doin' things right," she murmured, thinking not of Nevada, but of her parents, and what seemed like her life.
She curled her toes in Dory's blankets, knees drawing up to wrap around his in an attempt to take as much warmth as she could. "Sounds boring. You ever play the gameboy advance sonic?" she asked, curious of Dory's video game experience.

"S'just means that you 'aven't found the right person for you. It happens. I went through th'same t'ing when I was young and dumb." He offered, allowing her to snuggle up with him. He was totally fine with her sharing the bed and blankets, because it was Chelsea - she was just the kind who needed someone to lay next to and whinge away until she felt better. At the question the game, he tilted his head a little, giving it thought.
"Mmm. Non, not that, but when I was younger, I played the s**t out of "Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine" back on th' Game Gear. Many . . many batteries died for my gaming sins. . . " he stated, making it as dramatic looking as it felt.

Chel frowned the poutiest face. "You're not that much older than me, stop that."
When he mentioned he hadn't played it, Chel stood up and said, "Wait here just a sec." She then bounced over to her room and was back in time for tea.
Plopping back down on the bed (with equal amount of force as the first time) and cuddled right back up to him. She handed him a gameboy, complete with runics. Chel had spent every cent of her allowance on paying for the operation. "Here. Play." She nudged him with her foot, eager to watch the lights color up on the screen.nerpin I DIDNT REALIZE IT WAS MY TAG SORRY

"'sabout four years between us!" He stated when she tried to fight back, but it was all hot air. He was teasing her - because it was making her feel better.
He was willing to wait for her, since she was so excited to show him something, the lazy side of Dorian showing up on this day. But, he was patient and waited quietly until she arrived again, with the full power of Hurricane Chelsea once again, making him grunt as she landed on him again.
As she curled up around him, he looked down at what she thrusted in his hands, his eyebrows raising at the machine that was there now, his mouth opening.
"Oh! Oh man . . . I 'aven't played one'a these in months . . ." He stated with surprise, going to turn it on. He could have cried hearing the dumb little jingles, but instead he looked at his delicate (and very dead) 3DS, before shuffling a bit to curl up with her so he could press buttons.
"Can't pronise I will be any good, oui?"

"Gentle, gentle!!" she urged, worried for the way he was handling it, even if it was fine. "It's custom-made, okay?" She had to admit the glowing runes sort of broke up the custom painted shell, but there wasn't much she could do about it now.
Chel adjusted herself so that she could see while he played and said, "My cousin handpainted it himse-" She grew quieter and furrowed her eyebrows in thought.
"Ehh, everything's so messed up." It was more a comment to herself than Dory. "Just be careful."

"I'm not going to break it." He answered her cries for gentle hands, but he couldn't help but loosen his grip a little more, listening to her reminisce about the past with her cousin. She probably couldn't see it, but he totally saw a little flicker of youthful happiness, before it darkened again.
"Th' 'andsome gentleman who recently woke up, Chris?" He asked, giving her a little amused look, before going back to the game, playing it rather fluidly. "He seemed like a funner, but I know 'ow it is, rivalries and 'istories." He figured, before going to lift a hand to ruffle her hair for a moment.
"Careful is one of my middle names."

When Dory loosened his grip on the gameboy, that just made Chel want him to grip it harder. She was so worried. The most worried.
"Yes, that handsome b*****d," she said, rolling her eyes. "Still so pissed that he's here." She scowled and chose to look at the gameboy instead of Dory.
