  Honor A leader to his core, Honor lives by a stern moral code crafted out of virtue; he often expects his herd to follow it as well. Honor is driven to save and in those actions find his own salvation. He hunts wolves because that is what he must do. He feels, deep down, that if he were no longer able to do that he would be considered worthless.  Bianca She conducts herself in a manner that could only be described as cold. However, this silent, frigid exterior hides the extent of her turmoil and she holds back and away because she cannot find the words or the actions to express the love she holds for her herdmates. She is haunted by the voices of the dead and is terrified that her herdmates will join the legion of the dead.  Nemain When her fellow herdmates charged into the battle to face claws and teeth, she hung behind, finding vantage points to watch the fight. While that may seem like cowardice, without her careful rationalizations and strategies, they could not have won. She is, out of all of them, the most self-serving; she fights to live, not to protect. She is not unfeeling though and cares deeply for her herdmates.  Auren Auren is a steady, stolid buck who has seen enough violence and sorrow to last a lifetime -- and then some. He considers his herd to be his family; he is both mother and father to them, though he considers Honor a better leader, a buck less constrained by the fear of loss.
