
Stephanie picked her way through the ruins carefully, making sure not to place a hoof on any loose detritus that might cause her to take a tumble. It was unladylike to fall, and worse, it ill suited one as regal as she. So she tread with caution, all while making sure that she seemed disaffected. It did not suit for one to see her and presume she was afraid of something so simple as walking through the remains of what had once been a home for the two-leggers. And some home it was.
The ruins were large. While there were the crumbling remains of partitions that separated the space into what looked like caves too small for Soqs to move comfortably, she could imagine many of the odd upright ones fitting in here, coming and going through the gaps that must have been entrances. Oddly, some had broken bits of what had clearly once been part of a tree, pressed flat and blocking the entries. As the openings hardly seemed natural, it was beyond Queen Stephanie to understand why they would build openings only to barricade them. And against what? What had caused the humans to leave this place? What had this place been used for? She knew that there were royals amongst humans, and that in places like this they often dwelt. It was for their presence she was searching, or rather, evidence therein. There was so little respect and understanding for her rank among the Soqs she had met... the bipedal ones seemed to have a better understanding of the concept, and their take on it fascinated her. Especially the pretty things that their royals wore... Oh... to have some of that for herself... a dream she dare not admit to any...
