Are kind of a waste of 4 hours every Wednesday for me.

I already knew all these things as a crew since at the last McDonalds I worked at, I was super curious and asked all these questions and learned all these things.

So many people are taking notes while I'm sitting there all like "Oh, a refresher course."

But on the bright side, I am going to OFFICIALLY be a Manager soon! So that's pretty sweet.

lol I feel like a refresher course is what we should have where I work! Cause honestly most of the newbies they hired are dumb as bricks! And they don't want to hurt their pretty little feelings rolleyes most of them are on the phone more then they are working...I swear corporate wants to close us instead and are just deliberately telling the managers to just ignore it or let it go *sighs*

With McDonald's, Corporate wants their Managers to just Delegate employees around vs helping out. We're just here to make sure things run smoothly and our grunts are doing their jobs.

Where as it shouldn't be that way. I believe as a Manager, I need to help my crew out. If I see something messy, I should just clean it up if I have time. Why take the extra minute or so to go back to my crew and be like "Hey! There's a mess! Please go clean it up."

But so far, I've learned the difference between Behavioral and Personality related things. But it doesn't matter to me since I know if someone is doing a great job at grill, I'm gonna be like "Hey grill team, you guys are great! Our present time is 20 seconds."

ok do me a favor and clone yourself and send him on over this way...I don't work at a McDonalds but we could really use a manager like that! We are getting our official GM (second one since I have been working there) on I am guessing Monday and the temp GM is moving on to another store, even though I don't think she wants to sad there was always something I didn't quite like about her, but I never really hated her >.< you know? Now with this guy it already seem like a bad omen since he has the same first name as our other GM that got fired sweatdrop I really hope he's like you cause I am assuming if you hear almost all your employees tell you that an associate is on their phone every time you got your back turned and is not even bothering to learn their job, is just basically doing nothing and getting paid, you'd either be talking to them and be like "yo look, you need to start doing your job and not just half a** it!" or fire them...yea no...still there, and there isn't just only one stare

Ha. I'd run my own store with my own clones if I could! That'd be pretty awesome.

Yeah, since I've been at this store, we've gone through 3-4 GM's now. It's crazy. That really sucks the Temp GM doesn't seem to want to move. But you can't control that. As for the new GM, that could be a bad omen! But you never know.

OH! It's funny you mention phone.

This one girl who is a Crew Trainer tonight was on her phone and a customer was up front watching her and I was like "Hey Parv, get off your phone. There's a customer staring right at you plus 3 more behind her. C'mon!" and I kinda embarrassed her, but for reals. She shouldn't've been on her phone to begin with and her back was facing the customer area.

But she's one of the managers favorites so she won't get in trouble. Kind of like me!

that's how it is! and none of the managers say one word! it's like they are all afraid to say something, heaven forbid they lose a worker! yet they would rather pay out to someone who doesn't do s**t, it's just easier to pay people to do nothing than to find someone who would actually be a great worker scream stressed

If they quit because they aren't doing their job and I call em out on it, then whatever. I kinda got to the point to where I try not to get too friendly with new people since they usually end up quitting anywhere between 2wks to a month or two later.

So far, I've got 2 people who are like "Oh I like you, you know what you're doing. How do I move up, can you train me?" and I'm like "You have to talk to our GM or the People's Dept. Manager. It's up to them."

The only issue I have with that is the fact I cut corners, but when I train people, I make sure to fully train them and make them know everything they have to do.

that's true, but with this they are probably so used to getting paid for doing nothing, so why not stay?
and I like how you work you know what corners you can cut, but when you are teaching you teach them fully and then they know what their supposed to do and probably in learning everything, they too will know what correct corners to cut, cause it's one of those things where if you know something is easier and works a lot better, you learn the right way first then go with the easiest way...cause if that doesn't work you can go back to the original way
