At first he was just wandering thru the area and looking around the pantheon. This day he had chosen the black mandarin robe with the red and gold dragon over the shoulder and down the front. Then there were heavier boots with the legs of his pants tucked in. The army style boots did not go at all with the clothing, but his feet were comfortable in them and that was what counted. The silk garments rustled as he walked down the hallway looking at the various doors. Shoving the now blondish hair from the side of his face, he studied the doors.
Nuhava had been wrapping his shoulder for him so that clothing did not rub it, but there was little that could be done about it. Likely it would take his next change to heal entirely. And the horns had been hard to get used to also. They were heavy and he had not expected them. This change had been painful, but perhaps the next would not be quite so bad. His tail twitched behind him and that he was still getting used to. They had actually child proofed his room which annoyed the hell out of him. It had been far to amusing to Kaza but there would come a point where he would get him back and was looking forward to it. Unlike Shen, he had not found his dragon form yet.
There were many gods returned if the doors were any indication, but he knew a mere handful and three were his brothers. He had a pretty good idea what Xun was doing. Well, and Shen. Shen was likely in bed and the thought made him snort. Xun was probably relaxing and playing with whelps. Zhiji was likely still in the snow, but he hoped at some point, he would return. Typical of all three really.
But where were the others? There were nine of them and they were but four. Where were the other five?
A frown creased his forehead as he moved further down into the building. It was when he stopped at the end of the staircase that he remembered something. Yu the Five Claws.
The last host.. she had met Yu.
That was the only memory he had leftover from before. Other than Xun reaching out to gather him from his room. Where would Yu be? He had been here at the Pantheon. Perhaps it was time to find another brother and to see what he was up to.
Folding his arms across his chest, Takeru wondered if he should look for doors first or simply wander around the pantheon until he found someone who knew his brother or start asking questions. Either way, just standing here was going to accomplish nothing. But which was the most likely way to go?
(( Takeru usually wears clothing like this when he's around the pantheon, but the shoes are actually a pair of army boots lol. Takeru

In wandering the Pantheon halls, Takeru had a greater chance of running into someone that knew of Yu or the great Dragon himself. Yu spent most of his time at Creation's side, preferring to keep his coils where they belonged: wrapped around His Throne, supporting Him in any and every way possible...but when he wasn't playing pony or couch or Metatron, he patrolled or, if he wished for relaxation, spent some time among the mortals in the Market Place (though many of the mortals would not find his presence relaxing).
If Chien Tang wished to find Yu the Five Claws, he would only need to travel down the corridor to the left; clad in a hakama-like wrap and bare of chest, the darkly furred Dragon King was walking the halls, on his way out of the Pantheon. He was coming from seeing to some of his devoted entourage and was in a splendid mood.
Yu slowed briefly as his swift steps brought him within sensing range of his brother - the sensation was familiar and yet not; a Dragon King most definitely, younger than he was young certainly...but also different than any he knew. Probably due to mixing with the host's energies. His muzzle skinned back, blood-red teeth glinting wetly; which Brother, which? With a flick of his scaled tail, Yu called for his brother, still moving forward, the mana spinning out from him in invitation. Come, it said. Come and see me, Brother!((Yu tends to dress like this, though the art is FAR FAR too skinny/small for his current state *whistle*))

Takeru started to turn in the opposite direction when he felt it and hesitated. Turning back in the other direction, he frowned for a moment. He was suddenly certain that his brother was in this direction and not where he had been intending to go. Curious. It was almost as if his brother knew he was there with the release of mana.
He began walking forward certain he would know Yu when he saw him. She had met him and there was the vaguest glimpse of his brother left in those memories though there was little else. Dark fur, many eyes, horns.
His boots thumped as he walked but he hated the lighter shoes that Umi had put out for him. He suddenly grinned when he spotted the dark fur. That was Yu. It had to be. His own tail twitched as he continued until he was standing directly in front of Yu.
"Brother Yu. I was looking for you," he said, laughing. "It has been too long since we have seen one another. I was wandering and unsure where you were until I felt you here. What tricks are you up to today?" Would he know which one he was? Takeru was curious since it had been a female host last time.

Yu heard the thumping of his approaching brethren with his sensitive ears before his sharp eyes caught glimpse of Takeru's face and form, but the grinning face before him - while unfamiliar - told him all he needed to know.
This was the sibling he had felt!
"Brother!" The darkly-furred Dragon King hadn't been able to identify Takeru before, but now, face to face, there was the obvious scent and feel of the Great Chien Tang. "Last I saw, your host was a female child - much has changed, I see."
Yu had stood solidly before Takeru while they spoke, but suddenly he was overcome with joy that another of his measure was not only here, walking the Pantheon, but seemed so strong! Xia Lu Ling stepped closer and gripped Takeru's good shoulder with one hand, muzzle skinned back in what was meant to be a grin but looked like a snarl. "Welcome home, Brother Chien!"Eftemie Sorry for the delay...again!

"I am glad to be home again, Brother Yu!" Takeru laughed, nodding to his brother, then he simply hugged Yu tightly. "It is good we are back again. This time we will not fail Him. Yes, she was, but she was not strong enough. Xun Jiang found me in my quarters and helped."
"Riro Hakuouki was strong enough, though only half human. He was a skilled warrior for millennia and an adopted son to Mystery. I have remained such to the god and to his siblings and son. You should come to tea and meet them when you have the time. I think you would find them interesting. They are Oniwanjin, demons, though far from ordinary."
"It really is so good to see you again, Brother. And Xun found Shen also, damaged as it were though I do not know the entire details of what happened. We returned about the same time. Xun, Shen, and I did find Zhijian lying in the snow on a mountain. He seems content but has promised to return to visit us."
With Yu, Xun, Shen, and Zhijian, Takeru knew that there were five out of nine back. "Where are the others? Have you seen them?"

Having Chien Tang hug him was only mildly surprising to Xia Lu Ling; it had been his first instinct as well, though he'd held back, just in case this sibling was like Jin Huang and didn't appreciate being part of a "Dragon Pile". Most of their number had a great affinity for physical contact and indeed preferred to ignore mortal concepts such as "personal space" or "propriety" in favor of pouncing or tackling one another exuberantly (at least, this seemed to be the go-to reaction for each reborn Dragon as he found his way back to the Brotherhood of Scale and Claw.
Yu listened carefully to the fate Takeru lay out before him - was it really so surprising that the tiny girl had been unable to house the mighty Chien Tang? No, just sad. Sad because Yu knew very, very well what it was like to have multiple hosts fail, to feel that large parts of who you are - were - would forever be lost to you. The Emblem Pillar did not wish such a fate for any of his Brothers. "My host was not human at all, race matters not as long as the soul is strong." So, yet another of the True Gods found a host within their own small 'family' - Riro formerly belonging to Taj, Penny to Tian Yue, Illario to Dagny...Xun to Glyph. A most interesting phenomenon that he would have to think about later - perhaps seek out the Goddess of Knowledge in her host.
"Zhiji's always been contrary. As you say, he will come when he is ready - not a moment sooner." Yu chuckled, tail lashing behind him in a manner that suggested a very happy cat.
"Yes, Brother Chien Tang, I have seen them, most of them. Some, sadly I have not seen; not since Samyaza took Gaia's arm and Unmade Harmodius. I do know that Tian Yue, the Worldshield, lives and breathes - he shielded us as best he could. I known not where he is, nor where one might find Qian Lung...I believe I saw her host that day, attending the wounded Gaia by my command...but I cannot be certain she lives yet3." Yu's ears flicked back and forth briefly as he further considered their siblings, "The Treasurer lives as Jin Huang, but he is stuffy and enamoured of Greed. Mang walks and flies now as Shuo Huang Zhe. You spoke of Xun, whom I know, but Shen...I have yet to meet this time."
That left none save for himself, for he had not introduced the name he was going by while calling out the statuses of the other Dragon Kings. "And I am Xia Lu Ling, but rarely use it. My title serves well enough. What name have you taken, Brother? How shall I address my overgrown sibling this time around?"

Takeru nodded. “Well, that is nearly all of us. We shall certainly have to watch for them and see what trouble we can get them into.” His lips twitched. Hm… enamored of Greed? He made a mental note to be wary should he meet her.
“Shen…” Takeru laughed. “You will have to get him out of bed to talk to him.” There was a meaning in Takeru’s stress of the word. “It amuses the hell out of Xun who is trying to fill his room with whelps still and accomplishing such with all the dragons living with him. Rei and Malfas have five. Croix and Sunil have three plus a friend of Croix’s living there. And there are other whelps that he brings from Azeroth. As well as a son that Xun forgot he had long ago that we found sleeping there. Shen has one too.” Then he laughed even harder. “I suppose you and I have progeny scattered somewhere also that will catch up with us eventually if they are still alive.” This really was amusing to Takeru to think that their past was going to come back eventually and hit them.
“Takeru is the name I am called. It was the name of a Japanese demi-god and hero prince that I found within the thoughts of Riro when we were first fused. It seemed to suit me,” he laughed softly. “He knew as much of battle as I ever did. It was his life- battle after battle, but steeped in fierce tradition. I shall keep most of those traditions as my own. There have been many changes in me this time, but I am the stronger for it.”
His lips twitched upward. “The biggest change I shall tell you of. Before I had all the females I could ever want, one of the few things I do remember slightly.” He outright laughed this time. The dragon kings had all had whatever they had wanted before. He did not know for certain, but it was a feeling that they had. “This time I only want one, but she is more than I will ever need. Nuhava, the goddess of Strength stands at my side.” It was obvious that Takeru loved her a great deal as he spoke of her.

"Yes. We shall." He was bright-eyed, fur rippling with excitement at the thought of all of his brethren back together again, as they hadn't been since before the Fading. The darkly-furred Dragon King wished for nothing more than flight suddenly, to spread his scales across the skies and to trumpet the triumph of their reunion so that all might know; Yu settled for bouncing slightly on the balls of his be-clawed feet.
"Taken to bed?" Takeru's meaning was taken and read properly, but Yu thought between the two of them they could convince - or just drag - the other Dragon out of his bed and he said as much - or would have if he hadn't then been set to considering the fact that they probably did have progeny roaming around All That Is that they neither knew about or of. "Surely this is so, though whether there remains any deific blood in their veins..." He cocked his head a bit, then grinned, "My host begat a pair of spawn before I had wholly taken over. You may have seen them...or the destruction they cause. Joss and Dan. I would introduce you, if you wished. They are wretched, ill-mannered things." Harsh words, but there was something tender in the way he said them; clearly the children were cherished by Yu the Five Claws, no matter how "bad" they might be.
"Takeru is a good, strong name my Brother. I approve." Not that he'd asked or even needed it, but the Dragon Kings were so close, approval had always been appreciated when swapped between themselves. "We are all the stronger for the gifts we take from our Hosts." His ears went flat against his head for a moment; they were stronger, but after all they had lost to get to this point? He did wonder if it would be enough.
The other's mention of having found a single being - another God - brought a hearty hug from Yu; he was truly pleased that Takeru had found a mate! Not just a mate, but one he was willing to forgo all others for, that he felt strongly enough to subscribe to the mortal idea of monogamy for. He himself did not ascribe to that most mortal of ideals, but neither did he think any less of those that did. "A mate is a wonderous thing - and one able to stand with you as a help-mate even more so." Fantastical~!
"There have been few, though I remain...involved with the children's mother, Ashoka." Yu related the story of Ashoka's "Acquisition" which was quite amusing because his host had "stolen" her from poor Zhijian...and Yu had brought another 'servant' as a sort of dowry, to make it up to the other Dragon. "As of yet I do not have a one, but what the future holds is open and fraught with beautiful possibilities, yes?"
Yu's bright expression sobered; talking of the future always made him think about the past, which only served to remind him of just how little he retained thanks to the multiple failures at rebirth he'd been through. Takeru too. "My Brother, you fought as I have to return to His side, and at great cost. For every memory I have from before the Fading, there are four I do not. Once I had hoped to hear or read such things, but with Gianfar of Knowledge missing and his counterpart only recently placed within a host..." He shook his head here, then gave Takeru a look that would have been rueful had he the facial range to pull it off, "Yet I learned some of the Grigori lore that might yet be useful. I shared once when we gathered, but it has been some time and you were not there."
"Bringing such things into our first meeting...I know that All flourishes currently, that there seems little need for urgency - but believe me: if we do not remember to seek the knowledge and means to fight the Grigori, they will all too quickly devour us all. I do not wish to leave even one among our number unaware of the deadly and pressing nature of things."
So many seemed to just...not realize or maybe even care that the Grigori was still roaming around freely, that she could bring more of her kind over thanks to having taken Gaia's arm...or that she and her ilk might return at any moment to reign destruction and chaos over their heads.
It was infuriating. It was also embarrassing, because for all he knew of the urgency, there was so very little that he actually could do.Eftemie @__@ Sorry, I will keep up from now on *failwhale*

Takeru nodded, frowning. "Mystery has mentioned the Grigori in passing. Well, such that one understands his riddles. There are times when he makes little sense at all, but he seems to be caught up in the affairs of many at this moment. Very active though I do not remember how he was the first time around. His riddles can be amusing though."
"I already have plans to build an army of the Oniwanjin when I bring them from Earth to this place. Demon magic is still magic and that should help if we need it. They are not many yet, but they will be strong when Nuhava and I are finished with them. And I am sure that one day you will find a mate you just cannot do without." He grinned at that thought. Takeru wanted all his brothers happy again. It made him happy just knowing they were back. "And Xun will have his wish for thousands of dragons again." He laughed at the thought of Xun lying in the grasses with whelps climbing all over him.
At the mention of knowledge's disappearance and the new one, the dragon king frowned again. "This counterpart likely does not remember any more of the past than we do, so the knowledge would have to come as things do to Mystery. By chance." The past was always hidden for a purpose. At least it seemed so in most cases. Why would this be any different?

"That you are aware of the dangers present in the Grigori's continued existence is important, but I must impress upon you those things that I know. No weapon forged or army brought forth have the ability to harm Samyaza's lot."
This was something he had once told all of the Dragon Kings, having addressed his brothers en mass at one point to afford the Brotherhood such knowledge and insights as he possessed from his time spent researching with Gianfar or speaking with Harmodius. It was not good news to be delivering, but Yu shouldered his responsibilities as he must.
"Build your army, Chien Tang. As you say, it may help...but not against the Grigori. Void-made and Void-wielding, there is no thing we can stretch our claws for yet that will defeat them. I once spoke with all of our number, those reborn at that time and willing to meet, to speak and to listen." But he did not know how well they had remembered his words, if they had recollection at all! Chien Tang had not attended, nor Mang or Xun, but the others...they had. Even their Sister's host had been there, though he had disappeared shortly after, as far as Xia Lu Ling knew.
Mention of finding a singular mate was met with a deep, rumbling chuckle and a short shake of his horned head, "I am content, my Brother, and think I will not find the need for a singular mate. I belong too wholly to the Twin Crown to devote myself so strongly to any other one being, though I appreciate the sentiment." His tail flicked against his legs and he cocked his head a bit, "I have Ashoka the Prophetess and mother of my host's spawn, and others willing, should I wish it. The arrangement suits me, most heartily."
Yu liked variety. He also liked that some of his 'siblings' had found singular beings that they wished to keep time with, to make their mate. So it wasn't for him, that did not mean he found the practice without worth.
"Louhi may not recall, yet, though she is more 'complete' than you or I. One rebirth, no failures to date. We cannot discount that she will one day be our best source, it is her place and station as it was Gianfar's." He nodded though, because Takeru had a point - until Knowledge was grown and fully in her power, their best bet...aside from Harmodius himself, was Mystery. "Until Louhi finds her power...yes, Mystery is a resource we must make use of."
Research. More research and information, that was what they needed. The old tales and tomes from Harmodius' hand would be best, had Illumin not found some of this? He recalled only vaguely and made mental note to check into that further. "The Twin Crown has an Aoide from old, he may be useful in seeking information as well. Xedre is his name, I believe."
Yu had hope, with his siblings reborn and growing ever stronger, that they would find a way to defeat the Grigori, to remove that threat before it did further harm.Eftemie NP! RL > RP, it's totally fine. I've been busy and such myself. Dinnae worrit, we'll get through it, lol~
